Bug?
Original Request:
Hello!

I found that the ban in a personal blog is distributed to the community administrator in the community. That is, the administrator who was banned by a community member cannot respond to a community member. I can not even leave a comment marked "admin post"!

So it was conceived, or is it still a bug? Thank!

Explanation.

I am a community administrator ("ru-antireligion").

One of our members violates the rules, and I cannot issue a warning to him. I think this is absolutely wrong.

Please let me know if this is a bug or a feature. In the second case, I want to make a proposal to change the functionality of the site. If this is a bug - it must be corrected. Thanks you.

Hello,

This is an intentional decision. We believe strongly in each person's ability to moderate their experience on the platform, and that includes having the ban functionality be very strong -- including community admins.

That said, you should run your community in whatever way is appropriate for you. If the ban behavior is impacting your ability to moderate, I recommend that you make it a community rule that people not ban your admins. Ultimately, you do have the power to remove people from the community or block their participation if they are not following the rules you set out.

Best,
    Mark Smith
