Summary:
Feed renaming
Original Request:
Hi,
I've been using feeds for AO3 tags for a while, usually pairing or character specific ones, so I wasn't aware that a Feed URL doesn't change if one goes into a fandom tag and then uses filters to include/exclude certain categories. As a result, I today created a feed called: biggles_slash_feed
I thought this would be a feed excluding M/F pairings due to my filtering, but it's not. It's the entire fandom tag, as someone pointed out to me, so it's now incorrectly named, which will annoy anyone you might want to subscribe to a Biggles fandom feed in future but who will be confused/annoyed by the name.
I can find nothing in the FAQ section about the possibility of renaming a feed which, in this case, should just be: biggles_feed
Could you do this from your end or, alternatively, could this feed be deleted completely so I can set it up again with the more general fandom name? Thank you!
Best,
sweetsorcery

Just wondering whether this has got lost somewhere? I sent in the request nearly 3 weeks ago.

Hi!
It's easier to create a new feed and name it to what you prefer than to delete it. Go ahead and create your new one and don't worry about the other one.

Sporky

Hi.
Sorry, but that didn't help.
This is exactly my problem. I can't create a new feed for this fandom, because the other, inaccurately named one exists. When I paste the feed URL into the "add feed" field on DW, it simply tells me to join the existing feed, biggles_slash_feed, with no other option. Evidently, there can't be two feeds for the same fandom. That's why I requested that this feed be deleted by DW. I can't do it from my end.
Best,
