Summary:
Cannot import Entries/Comments from Community Journal
Original Request:
I'm trying to import entries/comments from a community journal that I run on livejournal.
It keeps saying "Unable to load FOAF data" when it tries to import the journal entries.
Do I have to be logged in (to Dreamwidth) the entire time it's importing? Or can I log out and it will continue to import?
And why do the number of comments/entries that the importer shows differ from the actual journal entry/comment count? (The importer shows that there's fewer entries/comments to import when there are actually more comments/entries on the actual journal).
Is there a limit on the number of entries/comments that we can import?
Diagnostics: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.12; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/52.0

How can I import a community from another site?
How can I import a community from another site?
I assume that you're importing a community from LiveJournal to a community on Dreamwidth. Are you an owner/maintainer of the community on LiveJournal and an administrator on Dreamwidth? (I'm assuming yes.) If so, you will have to be logged in as the owner/maintainer on LiveJournal and the administrator on Dreamwidth in order to start the import as mentioned in the referenced FAQ, but once it's begun, you do not have to remain on the page (or logged into either site).
The number of comments/entries on the importer queue indicates the total number of comments/entries already in the queue that the importer is processing before you begin your import. It is not an indicator of the total comments/entries for the community/journal you are importing.
Finally, no, there is no limit to the number of comments/entries that can be imported to Dreamwidth.
Grazie,
H2
