Summary:
Feature reaquest: ANY GUI to upload and manage images.
Original Request:
You already host imported from LJ images and images from posts made via email. Could you please add ANY GUI to upload images to http://p.dreamwidth.org/ ?

Even 20 MB would be enough for many. 200 MB upload limit will make happy the most of us. It might be a killer feature to increase this limit for paid accounts.

Absence of an easy way to add image is a show stopper for many potential users.

Hi finesoul,

The good news is that a GUI does exist! It's very minimal, currently, but it is available at https://www.dreamwidth.org/file.

The bad news is that this is not mentioned in the FAQs at all and is very difficult to find unless you know it exists. I am aware of this problem and do intend to rewrite the relevant FAQs, but unfortunately I haven't yet had time.

Please let me know if you have any further questions!

Best,
-kaberett.

Thank you very much!

That big feature worth adding into left side menu,
e.g Organize --> Manage images

Hi finalsoul,

Thanks for the prompt! I've had a chat with the site admins, and it's been decided that there are only a few more changes to the user interface that need to happen before the file manager can be added to the menus. I've asked for suggestions about what to include at http://dw-dev.dreamwidth.org/194532.html; in a week I'll write up a list and file an issue, so the development team can start work. Please do say if there's anything you think would be good, and as ever please let me know if you have any more questions!

Thanks again,
-kaberett.
