Uploading Icons Turns Them Blurry

Original Request:

I am uploading 100x100 .png files and yet when I upload them to Dreamwidth, they immediately lose quality. It doesn't matter if they are icons I personally made or had someone else make. I also experience this whether I am using the batch uploader plug-in or the single icon, and on Chrome and Firefox browsers.

I have examples, but there is nowhere for me to upload them.
