Summary:
Mobile posting via AT&T broken?
Original Request:
Howdy!
I'm a big fan of using text-to-post and have had no trouble with it for years. The last time I was able to use this feature, though, was Monday 2/21. When I tried on 2/26 it wouldn't work and hasn't worked since.
I'm wondering: Is anyone else is reporting this issue?
I've made no changes to my phone or service. Here's the troubleshooting I've tried:
--Text-to-email from phone to DW Posting Address = NOPE, fails
--Text-to-email from phone to a Yahoo Address = YEP, works
--Email-to-post from different Yahoo Address to DW Posting Address = YEP, posted here no problem
I assume AT&T is being fussy about the DW address, but who knows!?
Thanks for your support,

Hi there!
No, we haven't received any other reports of problems like the one you describe. It sounds to me like something must have changed on AT&T's end, so I would check with them and hope you can find out more.
Best,
--Jen

Greetings!
AT&T did change over their SMS/MMS codes a while ago and finally canceled their legacy codes. It's phone number @ mms.att.net to your Dreamwidth address if you're sending via text message, and it's the same if you're sending to any other email address.
Best,
Sporky

Thanks for the reply. Text-to-email is working fine for other email recipients.
The failure is only happening with my DW address: [journal name+4 digit code]@post.dreamwidth.org
Is that the correct DW address & format?
Cheers,

FAQ Reference:
How can I email entries into my journal?
How can I email entries into my journal?
Yes, that's one of the correct Dreamwidth addresses and formats.
Could you try [journal name] @ post.dreamwidth.org
subject: +PINCode [entry title]
Or put the +PIN in the body, making sure to include the + with it to rule out some troubleshooting?
Best,
Sporky
Thanks, Sporky. Good suggestions.
I just tried both of those modifications and neither worked.
