Summary:
How do I create a sticky?
Original Request:
I've searched the FAQ and nothing came up (tried variants like "sticky", "stickies", "sticky module", etc). I've googled phrases such as "dreamwidth sticky" and "dreamwidth sticky module", but the only information I've attained is that the site did implement the ability to sticky a post. Then it got confusing. Apparently the only way to do that was through the style sheet, not as an actual post (that one would normally create an incorrect date to have that particular entry displayed at the top, always), but the problem was resolved? It's somewhat confusing, because all I've been able to find is past bug/update logs and some request/suggestion conversations.

Which leads me to, no matter how the site allows you to do it, how DO you label an entry as a sticky? None of the layouts I've looked at have the module. I tried adding a code for it; nothing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is a feature I'm really excited about.

Hi mourningstar -

We do apologize that there is no current documentation for the sticky post option, we are still working out all the kinks. The documentation team has been notified so the FAQ can be updated.

However, here is how you can post a sticky in your journal:

* Go to Manage Account under Organize in the main navigation (either the dropdown or the sidebar)

* Then to the Display tab on the next screen (direct link is: http://www.dreamwidth.org/manage/settings/?cat=display )

* At the bottom of this page you can insert a link to the post you want 'stickied'

Thanx!
