Hi there,

I'm trying to create a community and accidentally made a personal account instead. According to this FAQ:

I should be able to convert it to a community, but I have been unable to do so.
How do I convert it to a community?

I'm sorry the instructions in the FAQ were unclear. I'll attempt to detail the process by step:

1. First, you need to log out of the account you want to turn into a community. If this is deadislepodfic then you need to log out of this account.

2. Then you need to log in to the personal account you'll manage the community from. This must be another personal account you already have. If you don't have any other personal account then you must create one first (https://www.dreamwidth.org/create).

3. Finally, you need to go to http://www.dreamwidth.org/community/settings?mode=create. On this screen enter the username of the account you want to turn into a community and its password, then select you preferred settings and click on Create.

I hope this helped but, if it didn't, please tell us which step gave you trouble so that we can clarify and copy/paste the content of any error message you might get.
