Summary:
Viewing entries by security
Original Request:
Hi,

I have another awkward question for you. I know I can view "entries filtered to custom group X" by going to http://cesy.dreamwidth.org/security/group:X. Is there a corresponding way to view "entries that are private" or "entries that are access-only"? I know I can view "entries that are public" just by logging out.

I also got a very blank and ugly 404 when I tried http://cesy.dreamwidth.org/security/ in the hope of getting a list of options. I seem to remember that prettier 404s are in the works, but it also occurred to me that it might be useful to have a page there with a list of links to all the http://cesy.dreamwidth.org/security/group:X pages. Should that go in Suggestions?

Hi cesy,

You can view public entries at http://cesy.dreamwidth.org/security/public, private entries at http://cesy.dreamwidth.org/security/private, and access-only entries at http://cesy.dreamwidth.org/security/friends. (There is a bug in to change the last URL to /security/access to match Dreamwidth's terminology.)

And yeah, having an index page for /security/ is something that should go in suggestions. Here, have a FAQ, even though I'm sure you know how to find it anyway...

Best,
