Like bandwidth is a measure of how much information can be transferred, dreamwidth is a measure of how much creativity can be transferred.

(Okay, we're making that up. But it sounds cool, doesn't it?)

At Dreamwidth Studios, we're passionate about social networking, online communities, and online content, and we're using this passion to create a site that will provide you with all the tools you need to create to your heart's content, share your creations with others, and find people who make things you enjoy.

Between our core staff — the owners of Dreamwidth Studios LLC and our senior volunteers — we have decades of experience working on and with online communities. If you include everyone who's helped us in any way as a volunteer, the figure easily adds up to centuries of experience.

We're all users first and foremost. Our motivation for creating Dreamwidth was to make an awesome site that we wanted to use and have as our online home.
