Kinks/Permissions
CHARACTER NAME: Mitth'raw'nuruodo / Thrawn
CHARACTER SERIES: Star Wars extended universe
[OOC]
Backtagging: Yep.
Threadhopping: Go for it.
Fourthwalling: Would prefer you ask first, but we can probably work something out.
Offensive subjects (elaborate): None for me.
[IC]
Hugging this character: Go for it. He might react with violence if he perceives it as in his interests to be intimidating or to threaten, but we can communicate on that.
Kissing this character: See above.
Flirting with this character: Go for it.
Fighting with this character: Go for it. We can work out who wins OOC or by dice roll or something.
Injuring this character (include limits and severity): Just ask first. I'm pretty much cool with terrible shit being done to him, but would prefer to know beforehand. Unless permission is already given.
Killing this character: Ask first!
Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: Go for it, no need to ask. Assume anything said in ooc text or brackets or what-have-you is fair game.
Warnings: Thrawn is not that great of a person! He is willing to do anything necessary to pursue his ultimate goals.
He is also basically the Sherlock Holmes of art and military tactics.
[SMUT]
Dominant. 98% asexual, but vaguely intrigued by both men and women. The remaining 2% is probably 1.5% women and .5% men, as far as genuine attraction goes. The way he's intrigued will probably lead him to be somewhat detached in sex, using fingers, toys, orders (he has a great command voice) instead of having sex with someone directly.
Definitely not (OOC preferences): Violent non-con, mutilation, death, bathroom play.
Yes: F/M, M/M, multi, vaginal, anal, oral, frottage, D/s (dominant side), bondage, sadomasochism (whipping, caning, spanking, knifeplay), toys, heavy kink (sounding, stretching/oversize penetration, heavy bondage, pushing past limits, mild cock & ball torture). Control is a big thing.
Maybe: Not sure about dub-con. He probably wouldn't push it, unless there was a reason to, and it's not really a direction I want to go in. Anything else that I haven't thought of. But I'll probably be okay with it.
[FOR ME]
Since Thrawn is such a perceptive character, and such a smart one, it would help me a great deal if you could take a moment and fill out this permissions form!
I know the questions make it seem like I'm looking for an essay. I do apologize; it's hard to figure out exactly what he would know! But feel free to answer with as short answers as you need to. If you feel like he wouldn't be able to perceive anything, then just let me know. I'm fine with it.
Thank you in advance!

Canon: Sherlock BBC
What appearance/behavioral cues might Thrawn be able to pick up on?:
All of his clothing is designer of some sort or another, and yet he still manages to look like a Bohemian hobo. He's certainly a sharper dresser than his Victorian counterpart, but there are definitely eccentricities about his clothing, (such as having one red button hole on his Belstaff coat), that throw off his otherwise conservative appearance. He tends to wear things that most men really don't in this day and age, like his blue dressing gown, which could be an easy clue to his bizarre tendencies. But his clothing won't really reveal that much, as he probably goes out of his way to prevent people from easily picking up clues about him, because he does this so often with other people.
Despite being thin as a rake, Sherlock isn't a weak character. He probably won't flinch if threatened, which could lead to the assumption that he's prepared if someone attempts to attack him. It's very hard to arouse a reaction from Sherlock.
His behaviour, on the other hand, is a completely different story. It's debatable just what personality disorders the man has, could be Aspergers, could be Schizoid, could be Sociopathy, whatever it is, something about the way he interacts with others is off. His speech is abrupt and abrasive. He usually only says/texts what is necessary and there's not really much of a natural flow to his conversation. He talks at people, rather than to them. He had the tendency to zone out for hours, only to come to and realise the person he was just talking to left an hour ago.
When he doesn't have his nicotine fix, he can be erratic, anxious, easily angered. This is probably the prime time for Thrawn to pick up on his addictive personality, or when he's involved in a dangerous situation, he seems to get more excited than usual. He'll do absolutely anything to stop being bored. He's easily excitable over the things he's interested, and tends to go off on obsessive tangents about things that interest him, which is almost always something having to do with a crime.
So you're free to have Thrawn figure out he's a detective as well, though Sherlock will probably outright tell him so.
What are some ways that are especially effective in manipulating your character?:
As stated above, he will do anything to get his fix, and since he's long since sworn off of drugs, this usually involves hurling himself into dangerous situations. Promise him a bit of excitement, a suicide, a murder, and he'll be all over it. He also has an enormous ego, and when challenged, he can't really help but defend himself, usually by demonstrating his intellectual prowess. It's fairly easy to get information out of him regarding a case or anything he's observed by challenging this.
Also, John. His best friend (arguably only friend?) and flat mate, when someone threatens John, Sherlock will lay his life down on the line. He will remain stolid on the exterior but if push came to shove and someone was really threatening John's life, Sherlock would definitely be willing to compromise to save him, despite the fact he's claimed he 'doesn't have a heart'.
Sherlock has a problem with naïvety, despite constantly being exposed to the most horrible sides of humanity. It's fairly easy to use him for grand, evil purposes if things are presented to him in the way of a game, or entertainment, and if he's prevented from seeing the bigger picture. Once he's handed a case, or if he thinks there's a mystery to be solved, he will plug away at it with his blinders on until it's solved, which can end disastrously.
What is your character's taste in art, and what does that say about them?:
Honestly, Sherlock couldn't care less about art. Unless it has to do with something stolen or it's a piece of evidence in a murder/suicide/kidnapping/etc, it really doesn't matter to him. Music, on the other hand, is one of his great joys. In the novels, he has a Stradivarius violin, ones that sell for over a couple million quid today. In the series, he appears to be using this violin, not nearly as expensive, but still a few thousand quid. I haven't decided which one he'll actually have, probably something more expensive than what was used on the set, since it was revealed the music produced in the series wasn't produced on the German violin, but probably not a Stradivarius, since there's less than 650 of them in the world today.
I note this because the violin is where Sherlock expresses his soul, his feelings, everything about himself. If Thrawn hears him play, he should be able to immediately discern that Sherlock's whole "I don't have feelings" bit is total bollocks, as everything he plays is deeply evocative of emotion. He has a preference for Bach, as well, and baroque music in general.
Is there anything in particular you want him to figure out?:
This is entirely up to you. But I wouldn't mind him commenting on the violin playing at some point, being able to pick out a few things about the way Sherlock feels, if he can get into his head like that, make those observations. You're free to use any of the emotions described in my action tags, as I'll probably be using a lot of them.
Is there anything you do not want him to figure out?
Yes, actually: his feelings when they're not being expressed through the violin, or if John's being threatened. He's fairly capable at hiding them, despite not really understanding them, and he's pretty much always stoic and reserved, and has a pretty damn fine pokerface. Anxiety or fear is also very difficult to pick off of him, unless he's been drugged.
Anything else?: Don't think so! I'll tell you if anything comes up. c:
