"Big things have small beginnings."
☄ DECONTAMINATION #2 ( 04.14 - 04.17 ) On the Moira, crew come and go without much hassle. They take a transporter to planets and moons and back again without any fuss... Until today. All crew that try to reboard the Moira coming back from Del Pascia will be denied access, a warning flashing on their MID - Decontamination Required for Entry. It’s a protocol that hasn’t been enacted before, and the MID offers no explanation as to why it is now. The transporter will seal and then be permitted to dock in the Cargo Bay, where the procedure will begin. All crew on the transporter have to dispose of their clothing by placing it inside hazardous waste bags located in a compartment near the front of the craft. After all clothing is stored, a gas-like substance will fill the transporter, breathable yet tasteless, and once it dissipates, crew will be free to go. ☄ D.ON'T E.VER L.EAVE ( 04.18 - 04.23 ) After the decontamination procedures for the Moira go off, the captains issue a ship-wide alert to let the crew know that the ship is picking up on something inside each person that boarded the space station. It is speculated that the crew came in contact with an unknown biological contaminant either during the station’s decontamination procedure or sometime after. At this point, they aren’t aware of what will happen to those that are carrying the contaminant, and the captains ask for anybody with experience to head to the Medbay to begin testing. Crew don’t appear to be in any danger, so they are allowed to continue gathering materials and supplies on board the space station at their discretion. (Every time they come and go, they will be made to go through the procedure described above). ☄ FEAR ME, LOVE ME, DO AS I SAY ( 04.24 - 04.28 ) Like most unfortunate things, it seems everything happens all at once. The noises you heard, a step falling moments after yours or a rattle coming from the vents, become louder. You can’t place where they are coming from at first. You turn, you follow, but the search yields no results. And then, without any warning, it’s crystal clear as “they” begin to creep and move from within the shadows and ruined sections of Del Pascia: the prisoners and workers said to have been relocated by D-E-L. Their voice is one, regardless of how many gather, and they tell you, “You can be happy here” and “I can make you better” shortly after. As always, fearing for the safety of the crew (and despite the disrepair of the Moira from events prior), the captains ask for all those capable to assist with extracting those aboard Del Pascia as quickly as possible before D-E-L tries to lock them inside. Running, after all, is better than dying, and it’s certainly something everyone aboard the Moira has gotten quite good at. |
Venom Snake/Ahab | Nudity and violence | OTA
[Snake was actually pleased to be heading back to the Moira after his time down on the planet. The blood. It had shaken him to the core so felt a little at peace to be going home of sorts. Yet, he didn't expect the message to appear on his MID saying he was contaminated.]
You've got to be kidding me.
[Venom rolled his eyes at the information coming up on his MID's screen. It had to be done though, right? Who knows what Del Pascia could have harboured. Snake did as he was told and stripped.
Yep, he was butt naked, carefully going through procedure and placing his clothes in the waste bags. He had no shame but it did feel a little awkward if anyone saw him like this, which they probably would. Shit happens, right?]
Get a good view. Might be the last you get. [He smiled slyly to himself, as he placed both hands over his groin. Just Venom butt to be seen here, nothing else.]
Fear me, Love me, Do as I say:
[Snake had no warning, as the zombie-like prisoners crept slowly towards him. Why were they all saying the same thing? "You can be happy here." It was a lie. It had to be. Venom grabbed his tranquiliser and shot off a few rounds at the zombies. Huh. It didn't seem to work. He could hear the AI seemed to be coaxing these creatures onwards, as if telling them to drag innocents Moirans to their fate. Snake could hear screams. People were being taken it would seem. He had to rescue those who were weaker than him. Being a soldier this didn't phase him as such. He just wanted people safe.
Then, it grabbed him. Or rather the zombie prisoner did, tugging at his leg, almost ripping at the fabric of his clothes.]
Get the hell off! [Snake snarled, as he smashed one of the zombies over the head with the butt of his WU tranq pistol. He didn't want to kill but to stun. He'd done enough killing. Yet, these zombies weren't letting up. Alright, time for a new action....
CQC.
He managed to get one of the prisoners in a CQC hold, sliding his arm up the body until he had his forearm around it's neck. He managed to subdue one before another lunged at his legs, pulling him onto the floor.]
Damn! [Snake managed to kick the deranged prisoner in the face and then knee him in the ribs. Were there more of them coming? He could hear what sounded like people being dragged further into the depths. Shit. He didn't have time for this. He had to get those people out. Snake growled, as he slammed two prisoners down onto the floor in succession, before making his way towards the screams and cries.]
decontamination
Her eyes stayed up above everyone's chests, respectful of keeping her own space. She realized she was near Ahab when he spoke up, and his words caused her to snort and roll her eyes.]
I'd be more worried about getting stabbed if you don't keep your eyes on my face.
no subject
[Snake smirked at her remark. They were all in this together, right? It's not like Ahab had never seen a naked woman before. He had because he was over fifty. He'd seen a lot in his life. Maybe not a lot of naked women but a few.]
What do your reckon? Bed bugs? [For the contamination. Might as well make light of the conversation, as he his eyes drifted over to lock onto her face.]
Fear me, Love Me, Do as I say
They're persistent, I'll give them that. Want a hand getting through them?
[He wasn't going to intentionally kill humans, no matter how Maverick-like they were, but that didn't mean he couldn't break a few bones to get them to stop moving. This man seemed like he knew a thing or two about stopping people from moving non-lethally, so it was only going to be beneficial to work together when time was this limited.]
no subject
Yeah could do with a hand. These damn things don't know when to give up.
[Venom's eyes were already scanning the corridor in front of them for signs of clambering limbs and listening out for that chanting.]
Sounds like the AI is driving them on to attack us.
no subject
[Look. He's not going to say its Mavericks, but as far as his world experience goes, its pretty much Mavericks.]
I have experience dealing with those, but we don't have the time to cut the problem out at the source.
[Nor did they know what the ramifications would be of taking out the central AI of a place floating in the middle of an endless vacuum of death. If it was just him here, Zero would do it in a heartbeat...but this was a rescue mission, not a seek and destroy. Zero wasn't all that worried if the few ones he'd run into were any indication of their overall strength, they could be concussed just as easily as any human could.]
Do we know how many people from the crew are still aboard, or are we going in blind?
no subject
I don't know how many are still aboard. Could be many or none. [They needed to find out though. Snake wondered if the robot boy would be alright. He seemed capable since he seemed strong back in the training room.]
You going to be alright helping fight these things off?
no subject
[Not an untrue statement.]
If you're good to go on, we should probably move. The longer we stay in place, the more time it gives them to group up and the easier it'll be for the AI to trap us.
[With a small nod, Zero turned on his heel and began to move deeper into the facility, his scanners peeled for the slightest movement. Will the Big Boss follow?]
no subject
[Yep, Snake had noticed your robotic form, Zero. He does actually like it but as long as it's not out to harm him he's ok. Too many bad dreams with Metal Gears trying to kill him.]
Yeah. We should check every corridor to make sure no crew members are stuck down there. [He began following.]
no subject
[The grip on his steel pipe should tell Boss more than anything, especially with his soldier's background. It was trained; tight around the fingers and tense in the shoulder, but apart from that his arm was completely relaxed. It was like looking at a cobra that was perfectly tensed while it waited for the right opportunity to strike.]
Good idea. We'll make a mental perimeter starting with the outermost sections and work our way inwards, that way we can set up potential escape routes while covering our bases. Sound good to you?
no subject
[That's where cardboard boxes come in useful. Hide in one then spring a surprise attack against the enemy.]
Sounds good to me. You're pretty good, kid. [Spending a little too much time with Ocelot? Perhaps.]
decontamination :}
Good view of what? I'm struggling to tell you guys apart more than usual without the colours.
[ya'll are too small (badum)]
no subject
The view of my body. Humans finds nakedness to be embarrassing. We don't show ourselves off like this often. [Unless to a loved one. So.....yeah awkward.]
no subject
[seeing as there's enough room, riptide decides that the best way to make this guy feel better would be to transform into his boat mode. which is... probably alarming to someone who doesn't know what to expect, an already tall robot splitting apart and whirring around until there's a fucking sea vehicle sitting where he was a few seconds prior.
...riptide doesn't know how to interact with humans properly, really.]
aw Riptide you cute
...
[Yeah. So, you can change into a boat now? That's....interesting. Ahab will just be staring and wondering what the hell is going on.]
-huh. Fancy trick you've got there. You're a boat as well as a talking robot?
<:3c
[he huffs. somewhere, somehow.]
It's my alt mode. You were uncomfortable about getting changed so I changed too. I tried to do a bonding thing.
[humans]
no subject
It's just you're the first robot that's not tried to kill me. Bad experiences in the past with mecha dinosaurs. [ie Metal Gears.]
no subject
[no, really. he still stays in boat mode.]
...You know, I can't even promise it'll stay like that. If you see a giant purple guy, avoid him. He's another one that'll try to kill you. He's kind of an arse like that.

Decontamination
I feel like I should buy everyone on here dinner, all things considered.
[ This was just gonna get added to a list of things she didn't tell Clark. ]
no subject
[He turned to look at her with his hands still covering his most vital parts. She wasn't half bad looking like this. Then again, most people were naked in this area. He tried to keep his eyes above her chest and focused on her face. Yeah. That's the best option.]
Want to exchange names first?
no subject
[ She's so tempted to say something about maintaining the air of mystery, but the circumstances weren't exactly perfect to begin wit
no subject
I'm Ahab. What's your name?
whoops that sure was a tag fail - sorry. she'd have said something sassy about mystery
Any idea what they're pumping in here?
no subject
Yeah. I don't usually greet women or anyone else like this. [ie stark naked. Just try not to stare at all his scars, Lois. He has a lot of them.]
No idea. Some kind of contaminant they said. I think it's bullshit just to get us naked.
hiatus catch up, sorry for the delay!
Most sound theory I've heard. [ Because she's heard so many... Or not. ] Although if they'd really wanted to just get us naked, there are much easier ways to do it. [ And almost to herself rather than directed at him - ] I wonder what else has changed that they're not telling us.
Re: it's ok, no problem!
