"There will be no prison which can hold our movement down."
☄ First: MISCOMMUNICATION Somehow, whether intentional or not, the Komai have once again hacked public systems and networks to brand those of the Moira as the ones behind these terroristic acts. They still use their own name, but the images are different, focusing on familiar faces wearing the ship’s uniforms and traveling to the Aerospace to return to the Moira. Not only that, there are short recordings of Link’s final words that mention a very recognizable name: Captain Thán. The Komai have redirected the blame to the Moira and its crew for their own means, and in response, any and all crew who are captured by authorities will immediately be detained and shipped out to unknown locations. The Captains send a message via MID and request everyone return to the ship to prevent this from happening. Yet, not all messages will be delivered depending on how far away they are.
☄ Second: DECOY & DISTRACT After learning that Benjamin Link, son of recently deceased Frederick Link, knows how to unlock the ship so they can leave, the captains ask for volunteers to act as decoys on a mission to the Aerospace in Harashan. Their job is to distract guards and Emiri citizens, leaving the path clear for Benjamin to get to the computers. The captains reiterate that they are to use nonfatal methods as they don’t want a repeat of the events on Caducus Primary. Without his help, the ship won’t be able to leave, making this mission critical and extremely time sensitive. ☄ Third: RESCUE During the mission, Benjamin informs the crew that the Komai aren’t incorrect in their claims that Link’d Inc uses unforgivable means to obtain information in order to make their matches perfect. The children the crew dreamed about are just two of many—the offspring of Emirian citizens who had gone missing. It has long been suspected that Link’d Inc was involved in their disappearances, but only recently has the Komai done anything to shed light on these gruesome rumors. Benjamin, after successfully unlocking the ship, disables the security systems in St. Murtel, which will allow the children a chance to escape. They’ll need assistance in getting out of St. Murtel and to a pre-designated area in Avelle where a group of Komai and Emirians will be waiting for them. ☄ Fourth: BREAKING OUT Now that the computer systems in Harashan’s Aerospace have been used to release the Moira, the entire crew are being called back via MID for an expedient exit from Emiri. Crew will be asked to assist other Moirans in getting back to the ship as quickly as possible via transporters or other small crafts as leaving is their only option at this point. In the escape, Emiri launches an attack on the Moira in an attempt to stop them. The ship’s previously unused defense systems activate, and those assigned to those positions are required to man their posts. Perhaps even those who don’t have the clearance are needed. Either way, it’s time to leave. ☄ Fifth: REFUGEES Now that the ship has finally escaped Emiri’s orbit, the crew will notice a group of stragglers in the main hall. During the crew’s quick exit, about fifty Emirians have taken refuge aboard the Moira, and the captains have agreed to take them to the closest planet so they may start again or live a life free of Link’d Inc “rule”. The captains ask the crew to help get them clothes and food for their short stay, no longer than a day at most, and to occupy them as best they can. Tell jokes, sing songs, bring up the kittens so that everyone can attempt to wind down after this series of unfortunate events. Light entertainment won’t be provided, but on request, some crew members may do just that. |

mess hall
[Scott's got a plate of food in one hand, cup in the other. The kid is close to his daughter's age, and he's alone, so that tells Scott that he needs to step in and dad him for a while. Make sure he's eating, which it doesn't look like he is. Scott waits a beat and then sits down opposite him.]
Hi, I'm Scott and you should put that journal away and eat your veggies. Wanna grow up to be big and strong, then you've got to eat them.
[He raises a brow, he's totally serious.]
If you chew them real quick and take a drink of water, you won't even taste them.
no subject
H-Hey! What're you trying to say?
[ what is it with these space people? nearly every one he's met has commented on his height, and he's nearly done with it. ] Sounds like you need to eat your vegetables so your old bones don't get brittle and break! [ he snaps his journal closed. ] What's your problem, anyway?
no subject
[It's not a remark on his height or anything like that, just that Scott knows kids need to eat right. He wasn't this kid's dad, but that didn't mean he couldn't make sure he was eating right.]
I like you kid, you've got spunk. I sure do. I'm in my thirties, which is close to a hundred. If I don't eat right, I might bump a hip and it'll snap in half.
[Scott sits down across from him, shrugging.]
I'm Scott, and I didn't mean anything by it.
no subject
[ he huffs indignantly, even though he is very much still a kid, he doesn't always feel like one. he clenches his fists on the table top but relaxes after a few seconds with a withering sigh. why is his life so complicated sometimes? ]
But you're right, that's practically ancient for some people, and most thirty year olds I know are assholes. [ point in case: Colonel Mustang. a shrug, then a grin. ] But I guess not all of them are. I'm Ed, I'm new here.

mess hall
[Because if he isn't, Ginko definitely will, whether his roommate's elbow has been in it or not. He's still not quite used to food always just being... available.
He's still not quite willing to try sitting with most of the crew - he doesn't know them, he doesn't know if they'd be alright with him sitting near them - but he hopes that Ed, at least, is a safe bet. He starts on his own food, watching curiously as Ed writes.]
((OOC: Put this together with the assumption that they've met in their room already - let me know if that works and if not I can edit!))
no subject
Oh. Yeah, I'm not hungry. [ but he lets out a labored sigh when he realizes he's sat his elbow in some kind of sauce. he pushes the tray over to him before he starts to clean his sleeve. ]
I keep waiting to think this is some dream. It'd be a pretty weird one, huh?
no subject
Yeah. Not even sure where it would come from.
no subject
I don't know, dreams can be pretty weird. I've had weirder. [ nightmares, to be more precise, but he'll leave it at weird dreams for now. ] Whoa, slow down, you're going to choke yourself the way you're eating! And make a mess. I guess I should have been more careful.

Mess hall
But he had been volunteered into participating, so of course he was going to get it done. Might as well help a new arrival have the easiest time adjusting as possible. So, when he sees Ed in the mess hall, he takes a moment to check the description he's been given. Short kid, blond hair tied back in a ponytail... Looks like he found him. He approaches Ed, sitting next to him.]
Hi, you're Edward Elric, right?
no subject
he looks up finally, however, blinking in surprise. ] Yeah, that's me -- is something wrong? [ he watches the guy with a subdued wariness. this place is still too new, after all. ] I don't think I've met you before, but I think I could say that about most people here.

arrival
Sleeping in the middle of the next hall Ed turned around was, well, a skeleton sporting a Moira jumpsuit. A tripping hazard, really, and one that looked more dead than alive.]
no subject
W-what the hell? [ he pushes himself up off the floor and looks behind him. sorry if he just stares, maybe pales, maybe looks very, very distraught. ]
no subject
He sure didn't look like he was trying to relax.]

Wanda clears her throat and holds out a napkin. She was going to ask if the seat across from Ed was taken but...]
Your sleeve. It's in your food.
no subject
Oh, thanks. [ but he looks angrily at his sleeve, like it's something the clothing did, before he begins to wipe it off. ] I've probably been sitting like this the whole time. [ he frowns. ]
no subject
Maybe not the entire time. [She's willing to help him save face.] What were you doing?
(no subject)
arrival
He's just so floored that he's in space. Actual space.
The far reaching implications haven't even begun to sink in yet, the worry over his friends and the fight with Father is abstract, but something does pull him out of his reverie pretty damn fast.]
Brother?
[He would know that angry voice anywhere, and he's immediately running towards it with his own massively loud metallic footsteps.]
BROTHER!
no subject
he stumbles over his own feet the moment he hears Al's voice, hears the clomping of metal armour. ] A-Al? Alphonse?
[ which just means that, when he turns the corner and sees his brother, all the tension in his body melts away. never mind the fact that he's going to throw himself at the hulking armour and hug it. ] Jeez, Al, you had me worried! [ it's still a little angry, a little tense, but there's great relief in his voice, too. ]
no subject
But he feels all of a sudden as if it's a lot more manageable. Whatever is going on here, he can solve it with Ed by his side.]
It's good to see you too, Brother.
[He chuckles, picking Ed right up off the ground in a crushing return embrace.]
You just got here too, right?
