New Arrivals: Let's Have Some Fun

What: An open mingle log for everyone to play in!
A calm had swept over Terminal Tokyo, as the Chosen Children had successfully repel the Beemon attack and began to clean up their city. All was well and life would go on, though some scars would take a while to heal. But as the saying goes, there is no rest for the weary.
Another earthquake tore through the Digital World. One on the scale of the one that had brought so many of the current Chosen to the Digtal World. Once again, dozens of Chosen were making their way to the Digital World. Destiny was calling once more and so were their partners...
Every chute in the Terminal Room activated while the small Digimon known as Culumon trembled with excitement. There were so many lonely Digimon that had appeared recently and--finally-- their partners had arrived!

[And it wasn't just the Worlds in the Realm of Light. Somehow Aqua herself was brought here, and in the process lost access to both the Keyblade and her magic. Or, maybe they were being sealed away somehow. The Digimon seemed to be able to use their own fantastical powers.]
[ The light is so bright here. Is this world truly in danger? ]
[The Darkness had a way of hiding itself, and without the Keyblade, there was no way for Aqua to fight it. So it begged to question: what was she meant to do here?]
Aqua! [Aqua gasped a little as she looked up (well down) to see Otamamon running back towards her. Again Aqua had to be snapped out of her own thoughts to realize she kept on losing her leader.] You keep falling behind. I'm sorry, I'm not a very good leader.
[Otamamon's expression dropped, she was a little too hard on herself. Putting on a comforting smile, Aqua knelt down closer to her partner.]
I must be mistaken then. Because the Digimon I've been following has been a wonderful leader so far.
[The Digimon's eyes widened a little, her cheeks redened a little, and her head perked up to meet Aqua's face.] O-oh!
[Otamamon was such a sweetheart, Aqua couldn't help but feel guilty for making her doubt herself. After all, Otamamon has been waiting a long tome for Aqua.] I'm the one who hasn't been a very good follower, have I? I'm sorry Otamamon, it's been a very long time since someone else got to be the leader. I guess I still get a little lost in my thoughts sometimes.
No, it's fine. Do you want to take a break? We can go to the apartment and rest for a little bit. You look a little worn out. [A different time, Aqua would have been saying the same thing to Terra or Ven after staying up so late training. And now, Aqua was the one who hasn't rested in quite some time. It was a little strange hearing the same concern from someone so small.]
[But, she couldn't stop now.] That's alright. There's still some things that you want to show me, isn't there?
[Otamamon still looked a little worried, but eventually she let up. Maybe they should go somewhere peaceful for now.] Uh-huh. We can go see the Reverse River next. It looks really pretty this time of day.
To the Reverse River then.
[Otamamon took the lead again, and this time Aqua made sure to keep in line. She didn't want to worry her more than she already had.]
[ She's trying so hard. I wonder if all partners are like this. Terra...Ven...I wish you both could see this place. ]
[ Don't worry Otamamon, I'll keep you and everyone else safe. ]

And how does he plan to do that you ask?]
Are you certain about this? You don't have that many bits to begin with, sir.
[Perry holds the fedora out to Tapirmon, pressing it towards him. If he's going to have a partner then he's going to make sure he's dressed for the job. Not to mention the digimon are more or less animals too. Perry feels it only right that he pick the first OWCA agent of the Digital World. Tapirmon stares at the hat for a moment before finally taking it and putting it on. Perry grins and nods. Yes, that's perfect.
Tapirmon examines himself in a nearby mirror.]
My, I do look quite dashing don't I? And now everyone will know we are partners simply by looking at us.
[Perry nods and goes to pay the bits for the hat. Completely worth it in his opinion. Suddenly, a breeze picks up and Tapirmon cries out.]
My hat! Quick sir, we must catch it!
[Perry spins around and goes to chase after it, Tapirmon right behind him. He's keeping his eyes on the hat and almost misses the pair of a young woman and a small frog-like creature coming in their direction. At the last second Perry notices the obstacle, dodges to the left out of reflex. He jumps up onto a stall, climbs up a wall with his momentum, and then launches off to catch the hat in midair. It's all very acrobatic and rather impressive for a man of his stature.
Perry lands in a crouch and straightens up, brushing off the hat and turning back around to find Tapirmon gaping at him in clear surprise at his dexterity. He looks from the digimon to the pair he had dodged. He looks a little sheepish and tips his own hat in greeting and as a means of apologizing.]

[Grabbing Otamamon out of reflex, Aqua jumped backward the same time the stranger dodged himself, her posture readied to summon the Keyblade-]
[Oh.]
[Right. Force of habit. Her body relaxed a little, but her eyes went straight to the other pair. The feat of acrobatics was impressive, but she was more relieved at the catastrophe that was averted.]
Aqua! [Otamamon was still cradled underneath Aqua's arm, looking a little sullen along with her relief and surprise. Who was supposed to be protecting who here? Bending over, Aqua gently placed her partner back on the ground.]
I'm fine, we just missed eachother. See? Not a scratch. [With her senses dulled like this, she had to keep on her toes here as well it seemed.] I'm terribly sorry sir, I didn't see you coming. Are you both alright?

[Perry nods to confirm and places the fedora back on top of Tapirmon's head. He then straightens up and gives himself a look over before nodding at Tapirmon.]
We're fine. The wind caught my hat unexpectedly and it was a gift I did not want to part with so soon after receiving it. You, too, are all right, yes? We'd hate to have caused any problems.

That could have been really bad. We're just glad everyone is safe.
[Aqua nods.] Right. [The man, he must not be the talkative sort. Was he brought here from another world as well?] My name is Aqua, and this is my partner Otamamon. It's nice to meet you two.

[Perry tries to hide a smile at the statement. It's far to similar to what Phineas used to say all the time. Perry taps Tapirmon and makes a circle symbol with his finger.]
Were you two searching for something in particular? Perry and I have actually been exploring for a few hours now.

[The Digimon nods her head.] We're on our way to the Reverse River.

And would have been on the verge of closing anyway, considering what had been going on in Tokyo. His Tokyo.
Biyomon, oblivious as usual to his increasingly dark mood, squirms in his grasp because apparently, he sees something.]
Ooh, look. Look. It's another human.
[A sigh. He doesn't need a pink bird to keep telling him that someone is coming around. But it gives him enough time to school his expression into something more suitable for polite company-- a smile and eyes hidden behind his sunglasses.
Biyomon chirps at the two newcomers in greeting but Kamui has words he can use after readjusting his bird on his hip.]

[But as Aqua and Otamamon walked up, they couldn't tell the tension. Actually, this meeting may have gone very differently if her senses weren't dulled like they've been since she's gotten here.]
[Because to her, he seemed just like a normal boy.]

No, I haven't. I've never even knew the name before coming to this world. [It was entirely possible it was among the many stars out there. They were in this world now, after all.]

That is, until he picks up some unfamiliar scents that rip his attention away from the river and over to Aqua and her partner. Time to go investigate!]
Aaa, hi! Guilmon hasn't seen you before. Are you new here? There's lots of new Tamers today!

Nice to meet you Guilmon!
[Otamamon gives a hearty wave while Aqua knelt down closer to Guilmon's level.] Did you see anything in there?

[As for the water, Guilmon takes a brief glance at the river before giggling.]
Guilmon didn't see much, but the water keeps moving by itself, and that made my reflection all ripply!
[And splashing it made for some entertaining effects. He's a 'mon of simple pleasures, really.]

[Aqua touches the water surface, making ripples of her own.] You see, with every connection it makes, and every life that touches it, it changes it a little more.

[That's a lot to take in, so give him a moment to piece together Aqua's words. It's so... smart sounding! And poetic. Could the earth and the wind really have such a big effect on the water? And how did they do it? So many questions, and he's not even sure where to start.
So he'll swipe his claws over the surface again.]
Wow, Guilmon never thought of it that way before! I didn't know water could be connected to so many things.

[Terra supposes it'd be a good idea to get out and help out some of the new people here. Not like she understands everything going on -- or really much of anything, honestly -- but she does have work (at the arcade, what a nice job), and once she's off that, why not browse a bit?
Gotsumon usually meets her in Palette Town when she's on her way back, but she'd told him today that she was headed for the Main Terminal. Somewhere between aforementioned arcade and the Main Terminal, somewhere not that far from the Reverse River, Gotsumon spots her. He excitedly waves and starts running to meet her.]
TEEEERRRRAAAA!!! Hey, hey, Terra!
[And he runs right by Aqua and Otamamon.]

[On hearing that name, Aqua was frozen for a brief moment. Terra. Could he...could he really be here?]
Aqua? What's wrong? [Otamamon's been pushing on her leg the moment Aqua had stopped. It took awhile for her to finally snap back to reality.]
Wait a minute- you know Terra?

Huh? 'Course I, whaa--! [Gotsumon turns, but he's still kinda running, in-momentum, so he trips. Not like it's something that hurts, he's got a very hard head. He shakes it and pushes himself up.] Whoops, sorry. Yeah, yeah, Terra's my partner!
[Gotsumon, of course, even though he comes from a world where everyone calls each other their species name, doesn't think that there are any other Terras out there, just his.]

[Aqua, and Otamamon in close pursuit, sprinted over to the Gotsumon. She felt a little bad for causing him to trip, but he seems alright at least. Sorry, but Aqua had to know for certain.]

Gotsumon! [A voice - young, female -- calls to the Digimon and he turns in its direction. His face lights up; it looks like he'd gotten distracted talking to Aqua and forgot how close his partner is.]
Terra! Terra, hi! [He half-rushes over, but she's already nearly there to meet him.]
You're getting started without me, huh? [Gotsumon's already tugging on her hand.]
Terra, I think this person knows you!

[Terra wasn't the same Terra Aqua had thought it was, that much was transparently clear.]

[Slowly, Aqua shook her head to Gotsumon.]
No, I was mistaken. [Aqua's voice was low, despite the weak smile on her lips trying to hide it.]
You see, a dear friend of mine shares the same name. So when I heard you calling for Terra, my heart jumped to conclusions. I'm sorry for the confusion.
Aqua... [She could feel the tug at her skirt. Aqua looked down to Otamamon. She's been worried this whole time.]
