Castiel | Prophet
It's for this reason, and others, that he doesn't question it when he wakes up somewhere else entirely, with a sense of purpose that he hasn't felt since before his fall. Orders, a solid objective, not conjecture based on what might best serve his usual directives. In many ways it's a relief, being freed from the confusion and uncertainty of being so totally cut off from Heaven. He has questions of course - for what purpose does he need these glowing lights, what plane is this, why did they lose him for so many days only to call him back now? But in his desperation for some semblance of structure he all but jumps at the opportunity.
Not literally, though. His footing is unsure. This would be easier if his senses were not even further addled from how they were in that strange town. Castiel looks around slowly, turning in place, craning his neck and squinting at the space around him. He sees bright lights - some distant, some close, that he needs to gather, or seek help from, or avoid - but nothing else. As if only being able to see direct line of sight from the front of his vessel's skull hadn't been bad enough. It's disorienting; enough so that he may not notice any who happen to approach him while he surveys the situation.]

Castiel! Are you injured?
[He's walking straight up a wall, or at least that's how it feels to him. But Castiel is up there, in the corner of what looks like the ceiling. It's disorienting, but he gamely pushes on. He has no choice. This is his duty now, too.]
no subject
Alfie Solomons. No. My vision is more limited than it was before, but it is not due to injury.
no subject
[Hey, if he's an angel, there might be protocol or something.]
no subject
I know what I'm here to do, but I'm going to need your help.
no subject
[So he's going to need Castiel's help there, too.]
We've got the same goal, here. We'll work together.
[He stops in front of him, taking his hand.]
no subject
Castiel takes Alfie's hand and stops, casting about one more time before raising his other hand and pointing. ]
There. One of them is waiting a short way from here. [ Or at least he thinks it's a short way. It's difficult to tell with no frame of reference, and what Castiel also doesn't realize is that he's pointing directly at a wall. Or floor, or ceiling. Whatever it is, it's a very solid structure that Alfie can't see through. ]
no subject
[And in contrast, it rises to dizzying heights on the right.]
We're a bit sideways ourselves, at the moment. Can you feel that, without your sight?

Castiel?
[ He thinks he will be of most use if he jumps onto Cas' shoulder, but he should at least make himself known first. ]

Castiel repeats the series of abstract concepts that make up The Cat's name ]? What is this place? Is it somewhere that you know?
no subject
It is not. But I know that this is not a mortal place. It looks like something of the Trickster's making. A trap, perhaps.
no subject
I can't see where we are, but I can see things here that I need to gather. Will you help me? A trap or not, this is important.
no subject
[ This seems like the perfect opportunity to jump onto Cas' back, so he does so.
Sorry, Cas. ]
no subject
Thank you. There is one directly below us. Can you see a path down?
no subject
There is a staircase some ten paces to your left. I do not know where it leads, but "down" does seem to be the direction.

It's a relief when she spots the last of those three, at least. She isn't questioning how she knows, for now. That can wait for later.]
Over here!
no subject
Is it safe for me to walk to you? I have already fallen unexpectedly once. I don't wish to do so again.
no subject
[With how the environment is constantly shifting...]
On second thought, never mind. I'll come to you. Just don't move till I'm there.
[Thankfully the intervening ground stays mostly stable, shifting only in type and texture as she moves, rather than warping or moving or anything like that. She's within arm's reach in half a minute.]

[ Castiel stands in place, swaying back and forth slightly as if he were standing on the deck of a ship because that's precisely what it feels like from his perspective. It settles down slightly as this person approaches though, and he takes that as a positive sign. ]
There are a number of creatures stalking the halls of this place, and each one holds something we need. I can find them, but I can't see well enough to navigate. Will you help me?
no subject
Be not afraid! Come! Follow me.
no subject
He doesn't take it well, which is to say he takes a lunging swing at House. If it connects, he'll find it's a considerably more powerful blow than a man of his apparent stature and muscle mass should be able to deliver, but given that from Castiel's perspective he's trying to hit a nebulous blue glow, the operative word is "if". ]
no subject
[House stumbles back from the swing and manages to get out of it with a clipped shoulder.]
Settle down. I'm here to help you!
[Technically true. Technically.]
no subject
[ He points in a direction that's up from his perspective, at least for the moment. The beacon of light is a good distance away, but it looks to be the closest one. ]
no subject
[House follows the line of Castiel's finger.]
And great. Love a Scarlet. The fastest way is flying, but let's try walking up the wall for a while. Looks like there's an M.C. Escher staircase with our names on it.
[He isn't really a touchy-feely person, and even hand-holding makes him uncomfortable to an extent with another grown man. House grabs Castiel's shoulder and just starts pulling, then shoving him in the direction he wants by it.]
no subject
Flying is not an option, my wings don't work here. Also, I don't understand those references. [ At least he's pretty sure that's what those were. When Dean said things like that it was usually because he was talking about some event or work of fiction that he liked in a way that somehow related to the situation at hand.
The shoving is unwelcome, to say the least, and at first he digs his heels in and refuses to move before finally relenting when he realizes this is the only way he's likely to get anywhere any time soon. ]
