OTA

The last time he was at a party, he got shot. And woke up on a desolate, decrepit Cybertron infested with bugs. Alone. Confused. And then Alpha Trion happened...

So, needless to say, Ironhide isn't exactly thrilled at the prospect of attending another party. But he shows up, all the same. Someone has to keep an eye on Prime, Ratchet, Hot R--Rodimus, the others. If he doesn't, who will? It's hard to fall out of the bodyguard in his nature. Too hard.

And who knows? Maybe it'll come in handy somehow. Some way.

Ironhide isn't exactly partying, so much as he is weaving his way through party-goers. His expression is neutral, and there's the occasional smile for those he knows. But he's determined to stay distant. Vigilant.

No dying, this time.

Cyclonus nods at Ironhide as he passes by, an ex-bodyguard recognizing the bearing of another. He's playing his usual role at a party: lurking near the outskirts and drinking. He's not entirely sure why he's here, other than to try and guard against possible trouble.

It might be because if Tailgate was here his friend would have insisted on his presence.

He doubts Ironhide will think much of him being here - after all, even some of his fellow crewmates on the Lost Light still don't trust him - but he's another protective eye on the party all the same.
arnhaid: (Say wha huh now?)

[personal profile] arnhaid 2015-05-12 05:49 am (UTC)(link)
"... Hey."

Who is that? Someone he should know? They didn't say hello. Or greet him by name. Maybe that meant thy didn't know who he was. Regardless, he offers up an awkward little wave to the purple bot.

"Some... party, right?"

Wow, Ironhide. What a smooth talker you are.
tsunclonus: (Sorta serene)

[personal profile] tsunclonus 2015-05-12 12:41 pm (UTC)(link)
"Hm," Cyclonus answers eloquently with another slight incline of his head.

They'd never really met - though he'd given Galvatron a lift away from Ironhide once, back during that... Unfortunate period of his life.

That doesn't mean he's completely unaware of Ironhide, though. Cyclonus is caught up on much of the history he missed.

"Ironhide, isn't it?"
arnhaid: (I TOTALLY GOT THIS)

[personal profile] arnhaid 2015-05-13 05:03 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, great. This guy knew him. He grimaces, and holds up his hands in an apologetic gesture. Attempting to forestall any further conversation before he can blurt it out.

"I... yeah, but. If you know me, I'm sorry. I don't remember a whole lot."

Something told him he'd have to go through this conversation... often while he was here. Maybe he could ask Prowl or Optimus to make him a sign or pamphlet to hand out.
tsunclonus: (CHUG CHUG CHUG)

[personal profile] tsunclonus 2015-05-13 11:39 am (UTC)(link)
"Don't worry," Cyclonus says, "We haven't met. I merely know you by reputation, provided that we are from the same universe."

He's curious about Ironhide's apparent troubles with memory. Something that troubled him before his arrival or a consequence of his taking? Or a matter of chronological displacement relative to many of them?

He doesn't ask, however, taking another swig of his punch instead.
arnhaid: (Damn kids get off my cyberlawn.)

[personal profile] arnhaid 2015-05-14 05:06 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh. Well... that's kinda a relief."

More than just kind of, really. It means he didn't have to worry about accidentally slipping up on some weird joke, or not getting a personal memory, or anything like that. He relaxes immediately, rolling his shoulders back.

"You don't look like you're havin' much of a good time."
tsunclonus: (:))

[personal profile] tsunclonus 2015-05-14 02:47 pm (UTC)(link)
"No less than you," Cyclonus says, one corner of his mouth quirking with what might almost be a smile.

Ironhide's demeanor didn't exactly scream 'having a great time'. More 'I suspect something might go wrong at any moment'.
arnhaid: (no one likes my stories anymore)

[personal profile] arnhaid 2015-05-15 05:16 am (UTC)(link)
"S'it really showin' that much?"

He grimaces a bit, but it's short lived. The purple bot has a point. He's not here to socialize, is he?

"Guess I gotta work on my cover ups."
tsunclonus: (pouting pretty)

[personal profile] tsunclonus 2015-05-15 12:35 pm (UTC)(link)
"Why hide it?" Cyclonus says. Be true to your feelings, Ironhide. Unless they involve caring for someone, in which case you should bottle them up and lash out and anyone who brings attention to them.

"You seem on guard."
arnhaid: (did i fire five shots or six)

[personal profile] arnhaid 2015-05-16 06:44 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, that's the problem there. Ironhide cares a little too much about people.

"Eh, figure most bots are here to have a good time, not watch a big old lunk watch Prime's back." He smirks a little sadly, nodding. "I am. Hard habit to break."
tsunclonus: (handsome cyclonus)

[personal profile] tsunclonus 2015-05-17 10:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Cyclonus nods in understanding, though he's personally not going to try looking anything but dour.

"In my experience, when any of the crew of the Lost Light are involved, it's a good idea to remain on guard."
arnhaid: (Say wha huh now?)

[personal profile] arnhaid 2015-05-18 03:06 am (UTC)(link)
"What's a 'Lost Light'?"

Whoops. Out of everything he's heard here, the explanation of Rodimus' little misadventure fun time never happened. It sounds like a prison ship or something, from that warning.
tsunclonus: (arms crossed)

[personal profile] tsunclonus 2015-05-19 01:44 pm (UTC)(link)
"Ah, my apologies," Cyclonus says. He shouldn't assume that everyone knows about current Cybertronian news from his universe. Time displacement and multiple universes and all that.

"The Lost Light is the ship Rodimus took to look for the Knights of Cybertron."
arnhaid: (kid what the fuck)

[personal profile] arnhaid 2015-05-19 08:41 pm (UTC)(link)
"Not a big deal."

He shrugs. He's used to not being aware of things, by this point. He just tends to take it better than other bots.

"The... whats of Cybertron?"

Okay. He's used to most things.
tsunclonus: (Pensive 2)

[personal profile] tsunclonus 2015-05-21 01:57 pm (UTC)(link)
"The Knights of Cybertron," Cyclonus repeats. "The first children of Primus and the Guiding Hand."

You want to get educated in myth and religion, Ironhide?
arnhaid: (Say wha huh now?)

[personal profile] arnhaid 2015-05-22 05:20 am (UTC)(link)
"... soooo... myths. Hot Rod got himself a ship and went off chasin' a bunch of guys who don't exist?"

Because that sounds like literally the worst idea ever.
tsunclonus: (:/)

[personal profile] tsunclonus 2015-05-24 07:51 pm (UTC)(link)
"Not all that is myth does not exist," Cyclonus says. "After all, the Metrotitans are linked to the Knights, and they are far from fiction."

The Dead Universe was only a legend, too, and he got stuck in it for millions of years.
arnhaid: (That's not where your gun goes.)

[personal profile] arnhaid 2015-05-25 03:53 am (UTC)(link)
"Okay, so he's lookin' for a bunch of guys who might not be a myth."

Ironhide doesn't exactly roll his optics, but it's close. He almost does.
tsunclonus: (Default)

[personal profile] tsunclonus 2015-05-27 04:31 pm (UTC)(link)
"Precisely," Cyclonus says, then adds by way of explanation. "Rodimus is the original captain."

No seriously, as far as he's concerned 'it was Rodimus's idea' is a perfectly valid explanation for all manner of seemingly questionable (and actually questionable) choices.
arnhaid: (how many licks DOES it take?)

[personal profile] arnhaid 2015-05-28 06:40 am (UTC)(link)
"Who in their right mind let him do that?"

See, to him, there really isn't a "Rodimus". Not yet. There's still Hot Rod. And Hot Rod never had a great sense of restraint. Or the most rational ideas.
tsunclonus: (:|)

[personal profile] tsunclonus 2015-05-29 11:51 am (UTC)(link)
"It's Rodimus," Cyclonus repeats with a slight shrug. Seriously, it explains everything once you've been under his command for awhile.

Once Rodimus gets an idea into his head, he's not entirely sure there's any way to stop him from trying to do it, short of locking him up
