you ever have something happen to you that you're like "nah that'll never happen to me" but then here you are, plus one dog and feeling the weight of parental responsibility on your shoulders? i'm too young for this. anyway this is ruffles at the dog park just now! retrospec's width limitations suck but, you can probably tell he's a really good dog. well, i guess, with his previous owner and all. so i pose this question to you: do you think animals can feel sad and do they miss people that are no longer here?

I have no doubt a dog can feel sadness, just as keenly as it can happiness.

Though he looks very content in the park. You’ve already a strong start to your burgeoning parenting skills.

I don't think he could look happier.

But I quite understand what you mean. I felt similarly when I found myself suddenly having to care for an array of cats in my home. Suddenly there's far more activity than you ever thought you'd be used to.

Were you friends with the previous owner?

[Straight to it.]

Enough that their adoration of the creatures spills over into to homes of family members, apparently. I think I'm stuck with these felines permanently now.

At least you've the fond memories.
[Of shitposting, apparently.] I imagine you'll be making an effort to keep in touch? For the sake of the puppy, if nothing else.

Their innocent faces hide devilish personalities. [They really don't.]

Good. Be sure to share your photos with the rest of us.
