Track 4 [Action/Audio]

[Miko slowly came awake, her eyes blinking open to take in the room she was in before she went to turn over and go back to resting. Sudden her eyes opened once more, wide awake and she sat up with a jolt, her hand smacking down on her communicator and activating the audio post function.]

Wh-what, where... no.

[Confusion and dawning horror of realization could be seen on the girl's face and heard in her voice as it became thick with barely suppressed distress.]

Bulkhead? BLUKHEAD?!

[Her shout was pained and heart wrenching, followed by the sound of a cut off sob, her hands moving to cover her mouth, quieting the sounds of her upset, as she curled in on herself, not bothering to move from where she had been sleeping not long before.]

[Teddie had been very worried about Miko ever since her little stunt. Although she was supposedly fine, he couldn't help but be paranoid... and a little lonely. After all, she was who he slept with at night and not having that was... well, it was pretty bad. He'd rather not go back to that if it's all the same to everyone else.

So, upon hearing the audio, Teddie quickly scoops up his communicator in hopes to get some sort of clue as to where she is. ...Only to get nothing since it's just an audio message. Thankfully, as luck would have it, she's apparently close by enough for him to pick up on the scent and he hurries over like a crazy person.]

MIKOOOOO-CHAAAAAAAN!!

[Yeah, that's not annoying. But he couldn't help it, the sobbing on the audio only made him worry more. He hustled those tiny legs as fast as he could, he never really ran so fast before.

SURPRISE IT'S THE BEAR]

[She heard the voice over her comm and brushed away the tears that had been threatening to fall and looked up just in time to see Teddie burst into the room.]

Teddie...

Don't cry, Miko-chan! I don't think I could bear it!

[He says through his own sobs because that's just the way he is. He doesn't even care about personal space right now, he hurries over to hug because THAT'S JUST WHAT YOU DO WHEN YOUR FRIENDS ARE SAD.]

[The hug is more surprising than what he said, though both were shocking in their own ways. She couldn't stop herself from grabbing a hold of him in a nearly desperate hug, hiding her face against him so that she could deny crying.]

I-I'm not crying.

Then what are you doing?

[The best thing about being a giant stuffed animal is...well, you're a giant stuffed animal. The ultimate comfort item.]

[She didn't know what to say, what she could say, so she just shook her head and held tighter to him. She hurt so much right now, her heart hurt in a way she couldn't even describe.]

[He's...not really sure what to say, either. If she doesn't tell him what's wrong, then he doesn't know how to fix it! ...Whatever it is.

Maybe that's for the best considering it's something he can't really fix at all.

He gives a low whimper as she continues to hold onto him, mostly out of his own frustration. He doesn't move an inch and thankfully there's enough space in that suit where the squeezing won't hurt no matter how tight it is.]

[She tried to keep her crying quiet, not wanting Teddie to realize she really was crying, but she couldn't stop her tears with her face hidden against him. She couldn't stop the way her shoulders shook though, or the slight hitch of sobs that slipped out around the muffling that the suit padding provided.]

[See, he knew it! He'd question on why she'd lie to him, but his better judgement...yeah, he does have that sometimes...insists he hold off for now.]

Miko-chan, you are crying.

[She shook her head a little, not trying to really deny that she was crying but just not wanting to admit to being weak like that.]

[This is honestly very worrying and he's not sure what to do. He's awful at giving advise, at least advise that makes any sense.

Why do things have to be so hard?]

It's okay, you know? To cry and stuff. I cry all the time, it's just something that happens. ...Nnngh, this would be so much easier if Sensei were here! He'd know what to say.

[Though her clinging doesn't go away slowly she move past the crying, at least enough to talk.]

I told him I would stay with him... cause bad things happen when I'm not with him... and now I'm here.

Huh? Wha?

[At least we're getting somewhere.]

W-Who? Who are you talking about? Is it a boyfriend?

[She shakes her head and it takes her a moment before she can speak again.]

No... Bulkhead.

[She isn't meaning to be cryptic, but she can't help that not much is making sense in her head either.]

[That is...a really weird name. But he decides not to mention that out loud for her sake.]

I don't know who that is...

My guardian... and best friend back home...

[She does her best to keep from starting crying all over again, still holding tightly to him.]

...

[Well now it's Teddie's turn to hold tightly as he pulls her in closer to himself, stroking the back of her head with his giant paw. He knows that feel, Miko, making a promise and then being DRAGGED OFF TO CRAZY ROBOT LAND where you can no longer keep it. It's an awful feeling and he wished he had a way to fix it for her...]

[If it's all the same to him, she is just going to take a little bit of time to cling to him and try not to cry more.]

[With a sad sigh, he continues to rub the back of her head and attempts conversation again.]

You can keep holding until all your sad is gone, if you wanna...

[She tries to laugh at that, but the chuckle starts out sounding odd and dissolves into little hick-ups for a bit.]

That could take a long time, but thanks.
