[ It is very early in the hour; had there been a dawn to record this moment of shadowy light over the hills, it would have been now. I have spent my early time here exploring, both the world within and the world without. I am uncertain of this feeling these foreign landscapes engineer.

Homesickness.

What do you miss about it?

It was a fantastic place, full of infinite variety and an ecological system so unlike Cybertron...

[ Since, you know, robotic lifeform versus organic... really different set ups. ]

I found it to be strangely beautiful, how everything seemed to be a piece of this world's great machine in and of itself.

That's pretty different from what I'm used to. The only organic things left alive are humans. Everything else is robotic.

Must have been nice.

How strange. I wonder what caused such a shift in its lifeforms.

War wiped everything out, and made the planet uninhabitable. Over time robotic facsimiles were built of previous animal lifeforms, mostly as early warning and defense systems.

Cybertronians are no strangers to war. It is sad to know this is what gave rise to technological life on Earth.

There had been some mechaniloids before the war, but organic life hadn't been completely annihilated yet. By the time I was built, there was hardly anything left except for a city-state contained within a bio-dome.

That's... terrible.

[ Worse than Cybertron, really; but organics were often so delicate... he's not surprised. ]

It seems to be an unfortunate result of sentient life, organic or otherwise. There has always been fighting, even before the widespread production of Reploids, but never anything quite at the same scale as the last war.

I am sorry that it came to that, for Earth.
