[Hello Haven. Have a familiar face for at least some of you. Wing has left the temple. It's clear he's got a lot on his mind; this city, what the Acolytes told him, that he's even alive, is a lot to take in. He decides to start with what he knows he'll need.]

Hello. If anyone could tell me of a decent place to stay, I'd really appreciate it.

If you have a friend that you get along well with, then there is that option. However, you can stay at your temple if you so choose.

[Sheepish little grin.] Apparently I've had a number of friends around here, though I don't remember them. [bit of a round about way of asking if you are one of those...?]

Thank you. I was hoping for something a little more central. [especially since he doesn't know anything about these First Forged yet and would like to learn before putting himself under one of their roofs.]

[ pfft. Being subtle. ]

I'm still newer myself, but I would think of it as an opportunity to reforge those bonds.

[ just the way he sees it. He shrugs with a bit of a smile. Also means that nope, no idea who you might be. {

By now someone must have mentioned the Hub, so I won't go into detail about that. The decision for me was easy, considering my, ah... One of my closest companions and I share the same glyph.

[ tactful and smooth, right? ]

[He's just glad he's not seeing that hurt look on your face.]

I do hope to. [he made friends with them once apparently, he'd certainly try again.]

[he smiles.] So you knew someone here when you arrived? [he nods] There's one here that I know too, thought he's changed from when I last saw him...for the better.

[And look at this, poor manners all because so many have already known him.] My apologies, I guess I should introduce myself. My name is Wing. It's a pleasure to meet you.

Cliffjumper and Ravage are about the same as ever. One is too stubborn to change and the other might not have the processor for it.

[ even though he says that, he does so affectionately. They do mean a lot to him, after all. ]

Either way, I'm glad that you have someone here, Wing. It's good to meet you.

[ on the screen, his grin doesn't waver. But he does shift a little in uncertainty. ]

My name is Starscream.

[He hears that fondness, and it makes his smile grow.]

[And then it falters at the name. He kind of does a double-take before his grin returns, a touch of amusement there this time. If this is one of those alternates the other Starscream was saying was pathetic, he has to disagree. He already finds this Starscream rather agreeable.]

I'm glad to meet you. [He truly is.]

[ yeah that's the reaction that he's used to. All he can do is shrug and offer a sympathetic smile. His alternate... Yeah. Just yeah. ]

You'll get used it it, I promise.

[He chuckles.] I'm not so sure of that. This place has thrown quite a few oddities at me over the last, oh...couple hours?

Chances are that it will throw a few more, If the odd energon crystals were any indication.

[have a curious look.] Dare I ask?

The people around here - both organic and otherwise - happened to be effected by colored energon crystals. Depend upon what color one interacted with, an array of "symptoms" would appear until it wore off or an opposing energon crystal was given to them. Some were afraid or hallucinating. Others were invincible or invisible. Sickness. Infatuation. Name it.

Primus, that sounds horrible. Are things like that common around here?

Here and there, I think. It's been quiet otherwise.

Well, quiet is good. [shakes head.] Hmm, this place is strange.

Rather amazing, though, too. I never thought I'd find myself back on Cybertron.

I could ask why, but if it is in the same shape as the Cybertron I had to leave for a while, then I suppose it's understandable. Frankly, I had been trying to build what you would perhaps call a 'space bridge' to get us back.

I...honestly don't know what shape the Cybertron I came from is in anymore. We left it so long ago taking what we could of the culture and history. We've kept it safe, away from the war. All we really knew is that the war continued, and so it wasn't time to reveal ourselves yet. [there's...a note in his voice that says there was a very slight disagreement over that last portion.]

That's... That wasn't even an option for us.

[ meaning he doesn't know how to take that. just up and LEAVING leaving in the middle of a struggle... Starscream understands people not taking sides in a faction, but leaving the PLANET? ]

It was the only option we had. We didn't want to take sides at that time, but as things got worse we were looking at being forced to. And then there were those who couldn't fight. They'd have just ended up killed. We left before either faction could make a move to really stop us, or force us to join one side or the other.

[ he'd love to point out how noble it is to leave for the sake of keeping others safe but... leaving... Starscream believes in keeping their wars contained. that's also their responsibility. living away from it is also turning a blind eye to the fall out. something like that hurts to thinking about.

but thankfully he keeps his expression schooled. ]

I see.

[Those two words say more than the lack of expression.] You don't agree. I can't say there weren't times I disagreed too. It never settled well with me to be hiding, not out doing something to help...

[A shrug] Choices were made, we did the best we could at the time.

I am not sure if I do or do not. It's understandable to preserve what one can. Losing ages and lives to war is... [ his wings give a bit of a twitch. ] Not a day goes by where the memory of being forced to watch my home burn doesn't haunt me.

However... Beings like your Megatron and my Optimus Prime are never satisfied with the destruction and consumption of just one world. They must have it all. The thought of other innocent races suffering as well as my own people at the hands of people like that is what gives me reason to fight. Is preserving culture worth allowing mass destruction to continue and infect other worlds? This is what unsettles me about the decision, but it is not my place to judge.

[Wing frowns, and then shakes his head.] It wasn't like that when we left. The war stayed rather close to home, it was a fight for equality and freedom from a corrupt government. Once things started changing we were already well away and settled in our new home. I'd not even seen another Cybertronian outside of those who came with us to Crystal City until Drift crashed there.

Had you known what direction it would take, would that have effected your decision at all?

I would still have left, helped get the refugees settled, but I would have left to help others where I could, even if the Circle would have disagreed. helping those in need is the greatest thing anyone can aspire to. I'd have done what I could had I known.

[ good answer. whatever tension Starscream had been holding ebbs away. ]
