IT'S A DANCE! [Video]

[ Hey look! It's Saber and Vandal. They're sitting together, Vandal has a half-empty bottle of whiskey in hand, which she lifts to the screen. ]

So guys. Saber and I got to talking, and I don't know about you, but we are fucking sick of all this terrible shit happening.

Giant centipedes? Here's to you.

[ She takes a drink. ]

Anyways, we were thinking about putting together a formal dance? Like, a ask-someone-on-a-date dance sort of thing.

Anyways. We'll need a place to have it, we were thinking the Atrium if that's okay.

We'll also need some help.

Saber? The list, please?

[ Saber nods and reads off the list. ]

We'll need catering, two people to help decorate, a musician, a bouncer, and I am looking for two volunteers to help me watch over the event. This isn't expected to be a heavy responsibility, but one will need to keep out an eye for arising issues.

There will also be a requirement of at least one piece of formal wear. For everyone.

That means you Cybertronians. Find a bow-tie or hat or something!

We're aiming for a week from now, so uh. Yep. You heard it folks.

Better start trying to find a date!

I may be making special requests of you throughout the night to help with anyone who has.. decided to be a troublemaker, since I will be handling security.

Will that be alright, Drift? [ Saber is quite glad that someone like Drift has volunteered. ]

And, of course, your main job will be not letting anyone inside without the proper attire.

[He nods.] Of course. I can handle it.

That's why a hat or bowtie or other similar accessory will do if they are a Cybertronian.

[ A nod. She has thought this out. ]

[Drift is simply going to presume that being a bouncer exempts him from everything horrible about this: dancing, and bowties.]

That makes sense, I guess.

Glad Rodimus isn't here.[He hated hats.]

Sooo a dance. [It does sound like fun, culture clash or no]

But um, I heard you'd be doing security. Does that mean you're unlikely to attend, ah, as a participant?

[Drift feels super smart. Because he's so gaming the system.]

I think we deserve some kind of celebration, don't you?

[GRIN.] Sorry. I have to keep an optic on people. Make sure they're wearing hats and stuff.

I'm sorry to intrude gentlemen, but I wanted to let Drift know of something.

[ Saber is trying to be helpful, and doesn't realize she may be.. "ruining" something for Drift without meaning to. ]

Even though you are the bouncer, the front doors will be closed after the first few hours and then Drift will be able to participate in the event. We wouldn't want to stop anyone from participating, especially if they are kind enough to volunteer their time.

So please feel free to enjoy the evening as you wish after the doors close, Drift. Unless I need you for a particular issue, you will be free after that.

And we really do deserve a celebration, we've accomplished a lot and been through a rough spot. Thank you Saber, and Vandal of course, for arranging this.
