[ The feed is audio-only, seeing as Perceptor is doing little more than trawl for data at the moment. He's curt and sounds rather distracted, but it's only because he's in the middle of attempting to take in as much of the Link as is possible. Thank Primus for multitasking. ]

Perceptor here. If any of the crew of the Lost Light are present, I would appreciate being made aware of it.

[ There's a pause as he makes a quiet sound of interest, apparently having stumbled upon something that catches his eye, then his attention turns back to the feed. ]

Those willing to extrapolate on the current situation would also be welcome.

Just me. Pharma and First Aid as well, from Delphi. [As far as Drift knows they are not on the ship. He gives a sort of shrug, figuring that's probably not the answer the other wanted. ].

Drift. [ There's a greater sense of relief than when he saw First Aid, if only because of the greater familiarity. At least he had some warning that Drift was present. ]

Are you alright? What is your location?

[ If the multitude of questions are indicative enough, Perceptor is a tad worried--not that he doesn't think Drift capable of looking after himself. ]

I'm fine. [ In that sense of 'fine' which means 'not really that great but I don't want to talk about it'. He can barely keep down energon, and it's possibly starting to show. ]

I'm in the Junk Pile. [Of course. Where else?]

What are you doing there? [ He was told it could be dangerous. ]

Looking for things. Humans need food, for one thing. [And out here no one notices if he just curls up in pain or something.]

And a few haven't shown up since the attack. [His mouth flattens. He's losing hope of finding them alive.]

Attack?

We've found some stuff, but they need more. [Vandal was complaining about twinkies and whiskey. Apparently the Lambda had pretty lowbrow tastes.]

Attack. A while ago. Creatures from the Lambda. Sort of like the Swarm but with more teeth.

We won.

If you require any assistance in locating supplies, let me know. [ Seeing as he doesn't have much in the way of anything better to do. ]

Are there any records of the attack? Information, recordings, anything like that? [ He's already pulling the Link back up and flicking back, skimming for any mentions. ]

You should have better things to do. They have use for your skills here. Me? Mine? [He shakes his head.] The less we need what I can do, the better.

I think Pharma got a sample. You can ask the aerials, who probably got a better view of their attack patterns.

That all depends on whether or not I can get my hands on proper diagnostic equipment. Without I'm afraid I'm rather useless. [ There's only so much good being a scientist can do. ]

Hm... Once I'm better acquainted with my surroundings I'll make a point of seeking them out.

Perhaps they'll deign to give me one as well, then. [ That would definitely help. He's practically bursting with questions and theories, but lacking any way to address them. ]

Supplies aside, I have yet to... actually explore my surroundings. [ He should probably. Get on that. ]

[A sigh, half frustrated, half sad. He's tried to sound Perceptor, for all the history that was between them, and gotten shut down every time. All right. Time to back off. He's too sick to be worth much to anyone, anyway.]

No harm in asking. [The smile is forced.]

Drift, if it wouldn't be too much trouble--

[ He cuts himself off. It's tempting to ask the other for help, but Drift has already alluded to being busy. Perceptor can handle something as simple as looking around. It's not worth inconveniencing the other. ]

...Nevermind. If you need assistance, please let me know.

[His hand pauses over the cut-off, optics hopeful.]

[And then his face falls. Because a) getting shut down again and b) yeah, right like Drift is going to ever call for help? ]

[ Alright, even Perceptor, as much as he can be surprisingly stupid for such a smart 'bot, notices that. ]

Drift, is something wrong?

No. Nothing's wrong.

[A shrug. He should have known it would be like this: they'd not spoken since the launch. Why had he thought this changed anything? ]
