[Yuki is in the dining hall with the rule book in front of her and a plate of food on her left. On her right is a note book where she is diligently taking notes.]

[Your name is in the book. She has a list of the players, weapons, playerless weapons, battles, outcomes, stats, everything she could possibly need in the future. Don't be creeped out, it's necessary]

[mumbling] I don't understand...

[Speaking of creepy, Sherlock pauses on his way past to silently read over her shoulder.]

[She's too absorbed in her reading and doesn't notice]

[This could go on for a while!

Eventually, though, he spots his own name on the page and chuckles softly.]

[Yuki was bent over her notes but at his chuckle she sits up straight, back stiff, and doesn't move]

Your information is very complete. I'm impressed.

I try and keep track of everything.

[He comes forward into her line of sight to stand behind a nearby chair. This reduces his creep factor by at least 50%.]

[looks between her notes and him, she knows that males here aren't the same as males back home so she would try to not panic]

[It might be worth noting at this point that he still hasn't changed into the school uniform. The black leather jacket he's wearing instead might or might not help him look less intimidating.

He holds out his hand politely for the notebook.]

[It's both less intimidating because it doesn't bring back memories of how she was treated but also more intimidating because he's different than the others.]

[she's hesitant to hand him the notebook, what if he takes it?]

[she holds out the notebook but also offers the chair next to her]

[Sherlock accepts the notebook and the seat in that order and starts flicking through the pages. He reads fast.]

Do you know the faces to match the names, or are your observations based on the statistics available at the booths?

The information comes from the booths along with what I have witnessed or heard, if it's something from a secondary source I double check the information to make sure it's correct, but I can connect most faces with names.

Hm.

[He approves of her methodology, but he doesn't bother saying so.]

Thank you. [hands the notebook back to her, open to the page she was on when she gave it to him] Your information is more complete than mine.

Would you like to compare notes? I might have missed something. [She's not so against sharing her information if it means she learns more, who knows, what he has and she missed may be very important in the future]

You didn't.

Are you sure? I want to check again that the information is connected to the correct names.

I've seen nothing that contradicts my own researches, and I like to think I have a tolerably good grasp of the system by now.

[slight smile] Indeed.

Yes, in fact.

[Not that he was going to ask, but it will be convenient to have a reference. He extracts a much smaller notebook from his jacket pocket.]

[she pushes the notebook towards him and goes back to reading the rulebook]

[He writes fast, too!

He could maybe write even faster than that if he wasn't also glancing up every so often to see what page she's on.]

[she notices his speed]

You're a fast writer!
