I don't understand at best, and cannot speak for all the rest
Who: Cassian Andor (¿y ustedes?)
Where: ALL AROUND TOWN. Seriously. Pick a spot, I'll come up with a reason for him to be there.
When: May 7th - May 14th
What: This is an open catchall, y'all. There will be starters in threads as they come to me, but feel free to make your own! Come meet the man, the myth, the Go Ask Alice employee.
Warnings: None, yet. Will put specific warnings in comment headers.

( for jyn, may 7th )
The scattered nights he does try to sleep in his own bed are exercises in insomniac futility.
This afternoon, he's in French's, peering at the beer offerings before he decides to give her a call (might as well put that cell phone to use, right?) and once she picks up: ]
What kind of beer do you like?
no subject
I can't remember my own middle name and you expect me to know what kind of beer I fancy? [ she puffs out a breath. cassian, please. ] I don't know, something strong probably.
no subject
[ Maybe he shouldn't have said that, though. Besides, 'something strong probably' is better information than he had when he started, and allows him to narrow things down a bit. ]
Preferences can be easier to suss out than details.
no subject
I take it that we haven't gone out for drinks before.

[ Cassian waffles between being honest and being...careful. In the meantime, he picks out two six packs of beer and places them in the cart, along with the rest of his ideas for dinner. Plus chocolate. (He doesn't care if it's for Mother's Day, it doesn't say mom on it anyway, it's assorted chocolate. He's buying it.) ]
A lot happened in a very short time. Not a lot of downtime in between.
no subject
I thought so. Why do you want to know what kind of beer I like?
no subject
[ And then he decides not to tell her about the chocolate. Has she even had chocolate? Well. There was chocolate at the bake sale, and there's chocolate flavored things in Go Ask Alice, so probably.
Still. It'll be a surprise. ]
Because I can?

[ Like it's simple, like it's not weird at all, and maybe part of him is waiting for her to tell him to leave her alone for an evening but until then...he's going to be around, and he's going to make sure she's okay, but this is all so far out of his control that his definition of 'okay' rests in things like 'eats something green, for once'. There's something more complex there, about his instinct to cook for people, but Cassian is not peering too closely at it for the moment.
Instead he shrugs at no one, because she can't see him through the phone line. ]
no subject
[ it's the new, weird status quo that she's trying not to think about. ]
I'll be here all day. [ maybe she needs to invest in a pet so she's not alone all the time when she's not low key stalking cassian. she's used to being alone, she thinks, but she had things to occupy her mind then. she has less things now or different things that don't occupy her enough.
funny how not struggling to survive 24/7 makes her downtime seem almost oppressive. ]
no subject
Still. ]
I know it's boring. [ It's said in the same tone as 'I'm sorry', as Cassian makes his way to the checkout. ] And...weird.
no subject
It's fine. Beer will help.
no subject
Anyway. ]
Anything else you can think of that might help?
no subject
no subject
Yeah, I did. I was shot, and I fell.
no subject
[ so that was real, not just a nightmare, but a memory. her eyes close like she can block it out but instead she sees the lines of cassian's body slumped against the grating below her, looking impossibly pale and small and broken. her eyes snap open immediately, staring at the ceiling seems preferable. ]
You might want to get a load of beer.
no subject
[ Cassian smiles, giving the cashier a wane smile as he turns the cart around back towards the beer offerings. ]
That wasn't the end of things. I mean. I survived that.
Only beer?
no subject
What else is there?
no subject
Uhm... [ Give him a second. ] There's wine, too.
[ Not what he had in mind though, so. ]
I have tequila back at my place. Or...there's a store down the street, with a lot of options. Rum, whiskey, mescal, soju...I think my roommate drinks that...vodka, scotch? Any of those sound interesting?
no subject
[ IT'S TRUE! this no context life. ]
Tequila, I guess. [ so he doesn't have to spend money. ]
no subject
It's good with orange juice.
[ Not that he usually bothers, but. ]
Anything else?
no subject
Milk and sugar for my tea. [ those are necessary, she doesn't feel bad asking for them. ]
no subject
No honey? [ Off down the aisles. ]
no subject
The teddy bear you brought me will last a while more.
no subject
Just don't blow up the microwave, like some people's children. ]
Okay.
[ It only takes him about half a minute to find what he needs (memorizing the layout helps) and then he's heading back to the register. ]
Should I get off the phone?
