... Wow. I don't know how to say this, but... I think you all deserve to know anyway. And to hear it honestly.

I'm leaving for the dead zone. I know Zexion's out there and I'm going to join up with him. I'm going to see if between us maybe we can unearth some of the mysteries of this world. This might not be so long, but - it could be long term, too. Really long term.

I figure this is the best shot I've really got to finding out more about what makes this place tick. And for the longest time, well - the dead zone has the most interesting things. I'm excited to find out more about it.

[Rin's rooms are about cleaned up now. She's selected some things she'll be leaving with Galadriel, and packed up plenty of other things she'll be taking, and chosen other things that will be passed on to remaining friends. There's some detritus left of things she can't take and isn't sure anyone wants and... maybe those things can just go out in the hall, for anyone who wants to pick up or for the ghosts to clear away.

What a weird feeling. She can break her life down into a room full of things, and yet it's so much more too.]

[She's standing in the room, looking between the empty space and Rin's things, packed neatly away. She's not sure how to feel about this. It was strange- in a way, it felt something like seeing Celebrían off to Rivendell had. Except she knew what had awaited her daughter; knew that she would be safe.]

You know you will always have a place here with me. And if I may aid you in anyway, you need but tell me.

[Rin dusts her hands off on her thighs, awkward. Then she turns to Galadriel and approaches for an embrace.]

I'll miss you. So much.

[There's no hesitation; Galadriel will embrace her without a second thought.]

And I you, dear one.

[Ahhh oh no ;; she knew this was going to be hard.]

Galadriel, you've done so much for me. [She could've left for her own room again months ago, but...] Thank you for letting me stay all this time. It was wonderful living with you.

[It's hard for her too. ;; She pulls back from the hug and places a hand on Rin's cheek.]

It has been an honor. You are an extraordinary young woman and I count myself blessed to have grown so close to you. [She gives a sad little smile.] Promise me you will do nothing needlessly reckless?

[She rests her face against Galadriel's hand tamely.] I'll do my best. I know I need to be careful out there... but I won't be alone. [Hopefully. Finding Zexion will be the first order of business.]

I have something to give to you before I go, too.

Do you? [She lowers her hand.] It was hardly necessary, you know.

Of course. It's not necessary, but it's my pleasure... besides, it's something that'll need a home. [...] If you don't mind.

I do not mind in the least. [On the contrary, she's touched.] I would be glad to accept whatever you would offer me.
