[Who believes in dream spirits? To anyone who does, the video screen flicks on to a smiling face framed by wild golden hair. Sandy squints at the screen for a moment, then perks up and waves once he realizes the camera's on. Everyone else? Just sees Poseidon from the top of what appears to be one of the taller buildings.]

[Unfortunately, Sandy doesn't have any practice communicating by text. The little pictures aren't very helpful to anyone who doesn't already know him, but they certainly aren't like anything else on the network, either.]

Another spirit, clearly...either you're not much of a talker or you're trying to play a guessing game?

My name is Mulan. I don't suppose you can tell me yours.

[Can everyone see him? Adults, even? This is delightful! Sandy happily abandons the text-images in favor of his usual mode of communication. He bowed a little, tipping a bowler hat that appears in his hand one moment, disappears the next.

After pondering a minute, he keeps things simple. He scoops up a neat little pile of dreamsand from the air around him, holds it aloft, and lets it trickle through his fingers slowly. He gestures to it with his free hand as it falls. If she can see him, maybe she knows enough about the legends to catch its significance.]

Well, it's nice to meet you too.

You...something to do with that glowing dust of yours? [Takes another, careful look.] Sand?

[Sandy nods at the first guess, then more vigorously, grinning. Yes, sand, exactly! And, because it worked for the other nice gentleman who didn't recognize him, he tosses the sand over himself, then mimes sleeping. Complete with dancing shapes and little 'z's floating over his head.]

You use your sand, and then...sleep? You fall to sleep? Or maybe you make other people...oh. Are you...the Sandman?

[The little man grins and bows again, more elaborately this time. Yes, exactly! He hops up on a cloud of dreamsand, riding on it effortlessly.]

You're a bit like Jack - you both have powers to shape and to make things. Have you met him yet? Jack Frost?

[Sandy laughs silently, and it takes a moment before he gathers himself up enough to explain. Snowflakes first, then a little figure with Jack's hoodie. Then a little Sandy figure. Then they hug each other. He lets the figures dissolve back into his cloud with a flourish. Yeah, he and Jack? Good friends.]

So that would be a 'yes', then.

I should have realized. It seems all of you that have come here so far already know each other. I'm glad. It means you're in good company.

[Though she's a little jealous. She doesn't have nearly as many allies from her own land to choose from.]

[Sandy nods definitively, still grinning. Then he tilts his head and spreads his hands apart. All? He only knew Jack was here.]

There's a wind spirit named Akito. And we did have a Fairy for a little while; the one that gathers children's teeth.

[Sandy holds out a hand, ticking off a finger and nodding as she mentions Akito - he knows the kid. Oh, he's a wind spirit? Well. That makes sense.]

[At the mention of Tooth, his face lights up and he conjures a reasonable sculpture of her face from his sand. He points to it and looks back at Mulan expectantly.]

Yes, her! That's right. I'm afraid she went back into the ship though.

I'm not exactly sure when that happened. Just that one day she was here, and the next...well, gone.

[Oh. Sandy's face fell, but he wasn't the sort to stay down for long. He nodded his acceptance, letting his little sculpture break into butterflies. He didn't quite understand the whole ship business, but she was okay, from what he'd gathered.]
