There's really only one way to greet news like that, especially when Kaidan's knowledge of Tony and his outside view of Tony-and-Pepper means getting a sympathetic twist to his gut and a suppressed urge to ping the Shepards... just in case. The text takes a bit of rewording and is brief when it comes.]
