Video: Tuesday, Week 37

[Wes has managed to work out where he works now. What the hell, This Timeline Wes?]

So. Is anyone else seriously questioning their new timeline counterpart's judgement?

[He shakes his head]

I could not possibly have had that much to drink.

Let me guess, you're working for the Outer Authorities?

[He looks vaguely amused, but a little sympathetic.]

I am, as well. Though given their rather more friendly disposition this time, I suppose I'm not really that surprised.

Apparently so.

[He lifts his shoulders in a small and elegant sort of shrug.]

I'm doing their paperwork, so at least you have the more exciting job. I do get to play bloodhound now and then, apparently, at least, but nothing more than that.
professorwolf: (eyeroll)

[personal profile] professorwolf 2013-05-30 07:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank goodness for that. Have you actually gone back to your "old" job yet, or are they still letting you get your bearings?
professorwolf: (capable)

I suppose not. I didn't get that excuse-- though I didn't really think about it, either. Getting into the paperwork and sniffing around the office means getting more answers, at least.

I probably oughtn't go talking about work on the network, Wes. Classified and all that.

[Though he might later, in person, if anyone really wants to know.]

In general, though, I haven't found anything earth-shattering. Just some general details of the new regime we've found ourselves in, to fill in the blanks.

Indeed.

[That subject worn out, he goes for the other reason he'd replied to this:]

At any rate, I hear that you and I are actually sharing a place in Poseidon. If you were wondering what that second bedroom was for.
professorwolf: (curious)

[personal profile] professorwolf 2013-06-03 04:08 am (UTC)(link)
I appreciate that. I think I mostly live in the Old City, here, since it's where I work-- but I imagine I'll be out for the weekend, to catch up with people there. Friday afternoon, at the latest.

Is that all right with you?

[Since he only vaguely knows Wes, and doesn't remember any of this apartment-sharing, obviously. He's a little uncertain about it, and laying on the politeness pretty heavily to make up for it.]

A lot of people commute to and from Poseidon, but if you do stay here, I also have an extra room. There isn't much of personal affects inside, but it does smell as if you've used it now and then.

[At least, he's pretty sure that's Wes-scent. They haven't exactly interacted in person much, so he hadn't been able to really match it up with anyone.]
professorwolf: (huh)

[personal profile] professorwolf 2013-06-06 04:25 am (UTC)(link)
[The confusion makes Lyall pause, and he blinks thoughtfully at Wes.]

I'm sorry, you don't really know me very well, do you? So I suppose I should explain that. I'm a werewolf, if you know what that is.
professorwolf: (eyeroll)

[personal profile] professorwolf 2013-06-07 03:13 am (UTC)(link)
Indeed, I've met a few of them since my arrival here. I do want to assure you, however, that I am entirely safe every night but the full moon, and that night I will be under lock and key.

[Somewhere. He'll need to see what arrangement his other self has made, here.]
professorwolf: (sheepish)

[personal profile] professorwolf 2013-06-09 02:28 am (UTC)(link)
As long as it isn't going to bother you, then. Though apparently it didn't before, so there is that.

[Since he agreed, and all, and Lyall wouldn't have gotten into an arrangement like that without explaining everything. Now he just hopes his other self actually got along with this fellow.]

I suppose I will see you Friday, then.
