Fifth Howl [Video | Wednesday morning]
Good morning, everyone. It's Lyall.
[See how far he's fallen: he's not even putting up both names anymore. It's been a while since he's come up on the network of his own accord, rather than replying to someone else.]
I have a few things here I need some help with, and I've come to the end of my direct contacts. First, I have a list of numbers that are apparently some kind of directional coordinates-- from space. Destination unknown, origination point unknown, though I have a few guesses I could make. Are there any pilots who might be able to assist in finding where they lead to?
Also, I've got a piece of glass here that I'm told is potentially full of data. If anyone would like a crack at translating it, do let me know? It could be fairly important.
Thank you.

I think I know what you're talking about, and where it can be read. That's their version of data storage, and if the ones that Solus and I tripped over during the hunt for the plague cure are an indication, very stable over the long term.
It might involve a small road trip.
[She looks excited. It's not a medical mystery to solve, but it might be linked to the hunters, and it'll do to stave off boredom around this place.]
How far away are we talking?
And will you be traveling on foot or commandeering one of Mister Stark's contraptions? If you have to travel by horse, I'm afraid I can't come.
And I think I'll keep the details off the comms, considering. But obviously I don't want to go alone. Could I get a look at the glass? Wouldn't want to go off assuming, after all.
[She's not going to shirk her duties for an adventure, but she would like a break in the monotony.]
How 'bout we meet up and talk about it more?
[He'd be surprised if they aren't both somewhere in the hospital, anyway, since Bones obviously is already.]
[Bones' gaze drifts away from the camera, a challenging set to his eyebrows daring any unplanned medical crises to unfold on his watch.]
An hour and a half will give me more than enough time to finish up here and maybe grab lunch too. See you gentlemen then.
[Video => Action?]
[And with that, he shuts down the aethographer, to get down to work. When the two show up, he'll be buried in paperwork again, but the crystal chip is sitting in plain sight on a corner of his desk, on top of the page of coordinates.]
no subject
He's looking nicely free of spattered blood or other unpleasantness, at least, which bodes for an uneventful sort of delay. Stepping past the doorframe and folding his arms, he gives the crystal chip a look over.]
All right, well it's similar technology for sure. It's a lot smaller than the ones I found out at the old abandoned research facility, though. We'd have to have someone -- probably Stark or Indrani -- kludge together some sort of adaptor to fit it.
no subject
She leans forward in her seat opposite Lyall, examining the chip and wondering how big the others were.]
I'm sure they can. Tony made an adapter to charge my medical tools from my medkit.
[She's secretly a little disappointed that she doesn't get to go on a road trip, though.]
no subject
[It seems reasonable enough to the guy who's never used a computer before. He's still assuming there may be the road trip, since "adapter" doesn't necessarily mean "whole new reading machine". The idea of said road trip with Tony along for the ride, though, is less than pleasant.]
I suppose we should show this to them, then?
no subject
[Says the workaholic doctor with a looks that says yes, he knows how hypocritical that statement is, but his situation is clearly different.]
My guess is that came from off the Authorities, so unless people get lucky and hit a couple over the head while they're unawares, we're probably looking at a trip out to the facility even with an adaptor made.
no subject
Well let's ask both to take a look anyway. And once we know how long it'll take to make the adapter, then we can plan a trip out to this place. To start: how do we get a vehicle?
no subject
[Lyall shakes his head.]
I suppose one of us asks Stark for one of his. Preferably not me.
no subject
[A road trip may be in the future one way or another it seems, as Bones looks thoughtful, and then amused at Lyall's statement.]
Not a fan? I'm surprised -- you and Potts seem to have a similar approach to organizing everything and everyone that holds still... or maybe you're just not his type. But I could probably ask him.
no subject
Anything to help Medea is something I want a look at too. Let us know what Tony says and we'll go from there? If he's busy, like you said he might be, then we can ask Indrani too.
no subject
[Lyall says it dryly. He at least understands his and Tony's particular friction. It just means he tries to keep out of the other fellow's way, as much as possible. He and Pepper have a few things in common, but putting up with the Starks of the world may not be one of them. He holds up the chip again.]
Want to show this to Stark, or shall I hunt down this Indrani of yours with it while you talk to him?
no subject
[Already looking a little distracted, Bones mulls over just what his results are looking like currently, and just what he'd like to do to move them along. Christine can probably spot the expression a mile off.]
no subject
Let us know what she says? As for you, Doctor, why don't you let me into that brilliant mind of yours?
[Because it's always helpful to bounce ideas off of someone who understands what you're talking about, right?]
no subject
[Nevermind that fog is going to interrupt that a little... but he'll be aiming for that, anyway. If they're going to talk shop, he's going to get the last of his paperwork finished.]
And call that scene?
You know where to find me. Now, if you'll walk with me Chapel, I'll tell you what I'm thinking and it starts with 'gene therapy'....
[And off he goes, out of werewolf earshot before they can hit the truly ridiculous levels of technobabble.]
