[video] because he needs to do something so why not the obvious?
[Have a very, uh, animated Hudson, friends. Because it's bad enough he's stranded, can't find Hicks, and possibly has an alien babby in his guts. You'd think fate would leave him alone, right? ]
[Nope. Apparently all this awesome attracts danger like...some attracty thing.]
[The video feed is unstable, as Hudson is running. Behind him, you can hear, likely, the thunderous sound of large dinosaur feet.]
FUCKIN' DINOSAURS!!
Jesus fuckin' Christ what the ever living fuck is wrong with this place?!
[A slamming stop as he ducks behind part of what was once a stone wall.]
Yeah. uh, [pause while he tries to catch his breath, and his cool] So. We got another, uh, problem here. Anyone got a plan?

[Action... sometime.]
Unfortunately, they didn't seem to like leaving people alone either.
When he recognized the familiar figure of Hudson running his way with a stampede of raptors to his back, he knew he had to do something. Just as the man was about to pass by where he was, Eliot did a running leap and flying tackled him. It threw the two of them into reckless somersaults on the other side of the road, but the dinosaurs, unable to turn that quickly, ran past where they were.
Eliot gasped and clutched his side, but he was on his feet quickly.]
C'mon, can you stand?
[Action... sometime.]
[Also, he's scared half to death. Few tons of Iguana on Steroids behind you will do that to ya.]
[Eliot hits him like a wrecking ball, knocking the scream clean out of him, and sending him tumbling.]
What the--!!!
[He's a bit slower to get to his feet. First, he's still flailing trying to figure out what the hell just happened, second, all that Marine gear. Kind of heavy.]
God damn! Don't do that!!!
[Don't do what? he doesn't know. He just...ouch. Everything hurts, man.]
no subject
Which was why he spared a moment to give the man a look with mock agreement followed by an annoyed glare. ]
What, don't get you outta that stampedin' path? Yeah, you were doin' real well.
C'mon, let's move!
[ Not giving Hudson much chance to catch his breath, Eliot was already grabbing the marine by the gear, damn was the man fully loaded when he woke up here? and attempting to pull him, if he would suffer being pulled, towards higher grounds before the beasties could turn back around. ]
no subject
I was leading them into an ambush! At considerable personal expense!
[Namely, his dignity.]
[He stumbles as the hippie grabs his shoulder harness, nearly tripping over his gun, before getting his feet under him. He's doing his best to follow Eliot.]
Tell me you got a better plan?
no subject
[ When Eliot saw that Hudson was coming along without further prompting, namely hand on shoulder strap, he let go to make the trek easier. ]
We head for high ground. Stampedes stay low, if we can get above them in a stable structure, we get a good vintage point and we'll be outta the way.
[ He frowned lightly when he realized he had no idea where he was going. It was only his first day here, he hadn't explored that much of it yet. ]
...Shit, you any idea where we are? And what's that about an ambush?
no subject
[Hudson scrubs a hand over his neck. He can still feel dinosaur breath. And smell it. Gross.]
Heading back to the firebreak. [Hey, Hudson may be a doofus, but he does know how to soldier. When he has to.]
They'll probably lose our scent there.
no subject
[ Eliot grudgingly agreed. He didn't add that as intelligent creatures themselves, they should probably be avoiding being that near the breakout as well. ]
Unlikely the thing was trackin' you though. [ The next bit was said confidently, not so much from guessing. ] It's hard to smell a damn thing in this mess.
Are there others that we should be joinin' up with? Or is each man on their own out here?
