My talent is Good Luck...

I got into Hope's Peak because of my luck.

...Did you win some sort of lottery?

I have no idea. I just remember that I got accepted as the Super High School Level Good Luck and that I didn't actually have any other special talents.

I was apparently really plain and normal in my other life as well.

You have other qualities besides "Talent" that are perhaps more important, but that is good news.

After all, we now know all four of our "Talents".

That doesn't sound very lucky to me.

It is good to finally know all our talents regardless.

Are you certain that that qualifies as a talent, Naegi? That seems very strange.

Then again, I suppose this school is unusual in many respects, so perhaps it should be expected.

I do remember "luck" coming up as a topic quite a bit, admittedly, so it seems probable...?

But how would you test something like good luck as a talent?

I remember that I challenged my mother to a rock-paper-scissors contest to see if I really was lucky but I don't remember the outcome. Don't tell me that Hope's Peak did something similar...

Anything's possible when it comes to such a bizarre academy. Are you sure that your mother wasn't actually an examiner?

I don't think so.

I know that I got accepted into the school before I challenged her to rock-paper-scissors. She gave me a weird look and I had to convince her to play with me...

Testing luck would be best done in a game of chance, I think.

Something as simple as flipping a coin numerous times should suffice, I imagine.

Those all sound like valid observations. Perhaps a combination, as doing just one type of exercise might not be sufficient enough to prove luck. Let's hope they avoid the more life-or-death games of chance.

I’ll ask Daisuke later to play rock-paper-scissors with me and try some coin tosses as well... I’ll let you guys know the results.

Bits and pieces. It's hard to see the whole picture as of yet.

I do have two new things that have come up recently, which I've meant to share at some point.

For one, I now understand what was meant about the school being unsafe prior to the killing games. There was a significant amount of protesting occurring on the campus, to the point that students were not supposed to leave their classrooms due to the potential danger. I wonder if this was the reason for the unusual tropical field trip.

I haven't recalled anything new about the school in particular.

But in any case, that is quite thought-provoking, Kaguya. Do you recall any other details about these protests? Their purpose, what made them so dangerous? I can see the potential motive for the field trip in that, though I'd hesitate to call it a definite connection.

I was investigating some sort of murder prior to the killing games. I wanted to meet with some people on the steering committee, I think...? But, I don't know if that was related to the protests or not.

I don't recall many details on the protests themselves, either. All I do remember is that the administration kept calling them "parades" instead, and that most of the protesters looked to be about high-school age.
