Starting out on a journey

Characters: Bloom and Open
Where: Aqures Ixen to the Calm Plains to a small village in the south
When: 6th May
Summary: Bloom is doing a job in order to get a new Job
Warning: Possible fighting.

She had wanted a new job. So she had been given a job in order to get one. All she had to do was head towards the Calm Plains and find a village. That seemed easy enough for her to do. She wasn't sure if she was going to go alone, or if she would try and see if anyone wanted to go since the idea of fighting was more likely than she thought.

With her armour on and her sword attached to her side, she was ready to go. So after writing a note to Luffy telling him where she was headed and to make sure that Ron was looked after, she headed off to the market and find some potions among other things. Once she grabbed what she needed she was ready to go, but first she wanted to look at something that had caught her eye, a small smile on her face as she leant over.

Tazendra regularly wandered outside the city. Mostly it was because she disliked being idle and wanted a chance to practice her fighting abilities. Mogmi was tasked with watching to make sure she didn't require assistance; Tazendra had the tendency to forget that her magic reserves were limited.

So, of course when she spots the other Hero, she waves her over. "Excuse me, kupo? I believe my companion is going to need some help."

It was just something Mogmi had gotten used to working for a Hero who didn't seem to care about her own limits. Tazendra wouldn't turn down help, but only when she felt she was being challenged enough that help didn't make it easy. Or if she was unconscious or in need to haul her crystalized body back to the hospital. Which Mogmi was expecting to happen one of these days. It was a good thing that people told her that Heroes could recover from terrible wounds.

Bloom hadn't expected to be called over as she climbed off the chocobo she had rented for the trip and holding it by the reins made her way over to the moogle, wondering what this was all about.

"What do you need help with?" She asked, knowing that she was more than willing to help, but she had to wonder what had happened. She hped it wasn't a bad thing.

Mogmi nodded. "She is in the middle of a monster battle, and is unlikely to retreat, despite being out of energy for spells. So, if you could perhaps assist in ending the fight..."

Mogmi hopes Tazendra will learn her limits better and stop getting into these situations, but she's starting to suspect that she just ended up with a reckless Hero.

She better appreciate it.

"Ah, I should be able to help." She had used her spells for a while and figured now would be a best time than any to try and help those that might be in need.

"Just show me where she is and I'll follow. Sooner we get there the better."

Tazendra usually stayed in her Black Mage robes: she wasn't used to wearing armor. The problem was that she was used to getting up close and personal with foes, as she was doing now with a pair of sahagin. She noticed Mogmi and Bloom coming over and gestured. "Ah! Care to join me?"

Given the way she was moving suggested she had at least minor injuries, her carefree tone seemed off. Mogmi just sighed.

Bloom moved her hand to hold her sword lightly, knowing that it might come in use. Although she must admit that she had never dealt with the monsters the other were dealing with. But they seemed weak enough and easily dealt with. She made sure that she enough potions for when the other was done at least.

"I'll join you if you really need the help, but I was thinking you were in a much worse off situation."

"Ah, well, Mogmi has not met a Dzurlord before she has met me," Tazendra shrugged. Talking meant she couldn't do much against the monsters, but she was trying to dodge, or at least minimize the hits she took. She was getting winded, so perhaps she had overdone it.

Bloom had stepped forward using a fira spell, unsure of how much attack it would take and wondering if she should have used her more powerful spell instead.

"Well at least now we both are learning about this monster. Which I believe can be a good thing."

Sahagin are annoyingly resistant to magic, but fira is enough to leave a mark and focus some attention away from Tazendra. "It certainly is," Tazendra said. "It keeps one in practice if one wishes to travel." She was bringing her own sword up for another blow.

Bloom drew her sword and was quickly to use it, swinging down, scratching across the front. "So are you ever going to travel then? If your learning to be able to?"

"I would like so. Perhaps I would even learn to ride one of those chocobos," Tazendra could talk as she fought, blocking a blow and then returning it.

"They are actually real easy to learn how to. Though I have to ask if you know how to ride a horse?" She stepped back slightly ready to attack again when she needed to.

With Bloom's timely assistance, Tazendra was able to finish off one monster. Mogmi, from a spot some distance away looked relieved. "I can, in fact. Though I assume it would be slightly different in gait."

"There isn't much of a difference between them honestly. Sure one has two and the other four, but they are ridden the same or similar matter. So if you know how to ride a horse it won't take one long to learn."

She lowered her sword, moving to put it back in it's holder.

"That is useful to know," Tazendra said, lowering her own and reaching for a cloth to clean the blade. "I am Tazendra. Well met."

"I'm Bloom, it was nice helping you." She was happy to help even if her moogle hadn't asked her. Plus in this way she met a new person who could be her friend later on. "So you going to fight any more monsters?"

"I had considered it," Tazendra said. "However, it may be wise to rest to replenish my magic first, if I understand Mogmi correctly."

The moogle nodded, looking relieved.

"That's always a good thing. Then we should get back. It's not far." Whatever she had planned today, she figured she would be able to do it later if she had to. She didn't mind that honestly.

But she knew right now she had to start turn around and walk on ahead, just in case.

"No, it isn't," Tazendra said. "And I am used to walking."

"I can understand why one might walk as well. It's great exercise for one." She looked from left to right once more, her feet still carrying her forward.

"it is. Though do tell me if I am walking too fast for you," Tazendra commented. She'd noticed that her legs were a lot longer than most, so her stride was faster.

"It's fine, I don't mind if you walk too fast or not. It actually might be better if you don't want to get into another fight honestly." She knew they were getting close, but even she knew that at any moment a monster could attack again. But she had hope that wouldn't be the case. She hoped.

"Yes," Tazendra sounded reluctant. "It is a shame, but I suspect Mogmi and my roommates would worry if I allow myself to be seriously injured."

"We really would," Mogmi said. "You're a Hero, so you shouldn't let yourself get hurt by fighting too many weaker monsters."

Tazendra considered this and brightened. "Ah, that is true. I would hate to miss a major battle because of seeking too many minor engagements."

"I think that would be the case. I mean if I got seriously hurt, Luffy would either get worried or want to fight whoever or whatever hurt me." That was the feeling she get with her many talks with him and maybe her spending time with him. "It's just what friends do."

She gives a small smile as they reach ever closer to the city. "Well that is why we're taking a break right now."

"Naturally," Tazendra said. "I would feel the same about my friends. While they no doubt know my nature, they would gladly stand by my side."
