Intro Log || Melodies of Eternity
Characters: All the "Heroes of Light" (only new characters can start threads).
Where: Aqures Ixen.
When: The 5th of March. The new Heroes of Light will awaken early in the morning.
Summary: The new Heroes of Light awaken in Aqures Ixen and are informed by their assigned Moogles of what the situation and what their destinies are. This a log for them to react to the situation, meet each other and be welcomed by the former batches of Heroes of Light.
Warning: Lots of distressed and depressed Heroes of Light.
The Hospital
— Anytime —
Characters who have already been in Crystallis before do not wake up by the Crystal of Fire like everyone else. Instead, they will wake up in the Hospital of Aqures Ixen, in a room where there are over a hundred of other Heroes of Light like them-- Maybe even some familiar faces... Except they're all in Crystal Stasis.
A few Moogles and nurses will be waiting by the room, and they will welcome all characters waking up. However...
Upon exiting the room, they will find the Hospital is very busy. Nurses and healers can be seen moving corpses around on stretchers, and overall a very dark and tense atmosphere reigns over the Hospital. In closed rooms, some of the most skilled healers are trying to analyze the corpses and find out what happened. And these dead people? They are of the Heroes of Light who died on the 29th of February.
Melodies of Eternity
— Anytime —
If you are a Hero of Light who survived that accursed day, your crystal will shine at the very same moment the new Heroes appear before the Crystal of Fire. That means your character is now linked to the Crystal of Fire and will come back to life after a week if killed.
They will also receive their Moogle and their housing in the 11th or 14th District. But that probably isn't enough for the pain to go away.

Where you were or what you were doing— It does not really matter. Not any more. Within an instant, the world around you collapses. Reality twists and shatters... Or maybe you are the one who is collapsing and shattering away from reality as you knew it. No matter what the answer is, it will only take a few seconds for you to find yourself sinking into a void, your world vanishing into the distance. There is nothing but darkness as far as the eye can see. Even you feel different: all the powers you might once have had, are now gone. It is silent, cold and it feels as though life itself is slipping out of you.
At this moment, when it looks as though nothing but a never-ending void awaits you, a red Crystal forms before you. In this void, its warmth compels you to grab it. Upon doing so, you can hear a soft, soothing voice speaking:
"Wake up."
Soon, the void itself vanishes and is replaced by distant noises of engines. Had it all been nothing more than a dream? The soothing voice repeats its call one more time, but is soon replaced with a much less graceful "Wake up Kupo." Hand clutched on your Crystal, the call of the Moogle may finally wake you up. But you are no longer in your world, nor in the void. You are before the Crystal of Fire, in the third district of a city called Aqures Ixen. At this point, you may realize the engine noise actually originates from an Airship flying low over the city and headed to dock beneath the castle. As if it wasn't strange enough, your clothes have changed as well. They are now a reflection of the Jobs you are wielding. Last but not least, you are surrounded by Moogles, small and fluffy creatures who are more than happy to tell you about everything you want to know, about your 'destiny' as a Hero of Light, about what awaits you.
Or at least, they will tell you everything they do know, which isn't much in the end.
The only people around you are like you-- There are quite a few of them, all clothed in their Job garbs and most likely wondering what is happening. If somehow you do not realize it, the Moogle who woke you up will be more than happy to inform you there are others like you around. In fact, there are other Heroes who have arrived in the course of the past year and they will come soon! Like you, they have Jobs and a Crystal.
If asked, the Moogles will mention that the Heroes of Light - that is to say you - are fighting against time to save Crystallis from the Calamity that is about to awaken to devour the entire world. Well, that is if you don't die or crystallize first. A couple days ago, a lot of Heroes of Light crystallized or died out of the blue without any warning! Sounds terrible? Welcome to Crystallis.
The Other Heroes
— Shortly Thereafter —
Thanks to the efficiency of Mognet, it does not take long for the other Heroes to come around: those who arrived in this world within the past year. You may have imagined heroic and charismatic figures when your Moogle told you that there were other Heroes of Light in this city. You may have imagined persons with fearsome powers when they told you about how they managed to push back the Empire and defeat gigantic beasts in the past. And more importantly, you may have imagined them as people who would have all the answers to your, doubtlessly, numerous questions.
If so, you may be up for a tragic disappointment. Still, for the most part they know more than you on the situation and may be more than happy to fill you in, especially if your Moogle didn't tell you much.
The City of Aqures Ixen
— Anytime —
With Choco Egg day nearing, there are a lot fo Hypello working on the upcoming competitions and on making chocolates! Want to eat some? Too bad, the Moogles will hit you with the stick they use to make the chocolate if you try to eat them!
And besides the chocolates, there are a lot of things to do in the city for newcomers. Moogles are working hard in Mognet Office of the ninth district following the election of their new director, and while there are no Blitzball Matches today, a lot of Triple Triad players are gathered at the stadium. Why? Because they are working on the early preparations for the Triple Triad World Championship that will happen in May! Characters are also free to visit the city-- They can visit Airship Port in the twelfth district from where characters can board for free Airships from Shoopuf Airline.
Or maybe you could visit your new house in the 11th District, and get to know your new neighbors and housemate. Hopefully your neighbors are people you will get along with.
The Laboratory
— Anytime —
A location where a lot of Heroes of Light seem to be gathering is Palitutu's Laboratory. It is a place where employed characters can research into various topics. However, most importantly, characters can see a file with their name...
Should your character decide to go there and peek at their file, there are two possibilities. Either the file is corrupted and they cannot access it: too bad for them, but at least their life will remain a mystery. Or should you decide the file isn't corrupted, they will find a summary of their lives up to their canon point, as if written by a third-person omniscient narrator. On the column left to the text, to the top there is a portrait of them, and beneath it there is a 3D model of them. Said portrait and model can be switched to any year of their life. At the bottom there is a percentage, indicating 0%. On the right column, there are various links, most of which are grayed out. The clickable links lead to their Homeworld History and their future post-canon point history (corrupted file for unfinished canons).
At least, they can lock this file away if they don't want anyone to see it.

[Shards of crystal find their way to the floor as they begin to melt away from their source like ice on a frying pan. The shattering sound of the cracking material echoes briefly, before the cry of what sounds like agitation and unrest drowns out the minor din. The elongated noise of the young man's exhausted yawn is loud enough and wily enough to possibly raise the dead, or at least aide in raising him up from his own death-bed.]
AUUUUGGGGHH-!!
[Arms shoot straight over his head as a large, open grin spreads across his face like a tooth-filled bridge. A hand comes down to pat his stomach as the low-baratone rumble echoes like a grumpy oboe sounding off to usher in the feeling of hunger.]
That was a good nap! But.. Where's food? Hey! Is there a doctor here? Hey~! I need food here! Can some one get me some food!?
- - - - -
A-05
[The frame of the wooden door threatens to come off of its hinges, the repeated knocking of closed fists pounding against the heavy, solid entrance without ceasing. Feet shuttle about the dust covered earth below, pushing up a small cloud of dirt that raises to Luffy's knees as he looks as though he is running in place.]
BLOOM!! BLOO~M!! OPEN THE DOOR!!
[He didn't care about the neighbors, nor did he care if his shouting drew any attention. The person that he had been missing most had to be on the other side of the door that stood in his way, but what few manners he possessed were keeping him from breaking the slab of lumber off of the hinges on which it was hung.]
BLOOM!! BLOOM, ARE YOU THERE?!
Hospital
When he slides on the coat, he can feel that something is different. Something about one of the items that he always keeps on him. The- card?
The card! That Luffy has the other half of! This can only mean one thing.
Jack rushes through the streets towards the Hospital, feeling the pull only stronger the closer he gets. Oh, is he happy to see Luffy again, but he stops just before the doors to the Crystalized Heroes Wing to compose himself. He has to play this cool, after all.
A casual, cocky smirk settles onto Jack's face as he strolls in. He looks at Luffy as if he has been expected this whole time. "You're almost late. If we hurry, we can still catch brunch, and I want stew."
Re: Hospital
He leaps off of the table on which he'd been entombed, landing on both feet as his hands settle on his hips. Luffy resembles Peter Pan more than the feisty pirate he had been known for being. The energy he exhibits are evidence of a long-deserved rest, though it does not stop his stomach from visibly rumbling.
"Oi! Jack! How long was I out?! I don't know what this brunch thing is, but if they have food, we need to move!"
Hospital
Food? Her own stomach was a little empty and hunger was starting to make its presence known.]
We could go find the cafeteria? I'm getting hungry myself.
[She'll look at Luffy curiously to see what he wants to do next.]
Re: Hospital
.. They have a Cafeteria here? Where is here? Where am I?
[The surroundings look familiar to him, as if he'd been in this very room before, though the memories seem jostled and out of place. A lone finger raises to brush the side of nose, a speck of crystal falling off in the process.]
This is still Crystallis, right?
[He turns back to look at Selphie, pointing a finger at her while not knowing the gesture to be considered rude.]
You're not a hero, are you?
Re: Hospital
[Selphie grinned sheepishly at her new moogle who was reminding her of Zell a little bit.]
So... about that --
[Excuse you, Luffy. Selphie moves to bite his finger in response. Does it land?]
Of course I'm a hero, you dumbass!
Re: Hospital
[The pirate turns back just in time to see the teeth coming for his finger, not moving fast enough to have Selphie nip the tip with her incisors. He reels his hand back, yelping at the sudden tinge of pain as he brings a hand over head to smack the top of her noggin without restraint.]
That hurt, dammit!!
[He takes the injured finger into his mouth, sucking on it to relieve the pain. Eyes keep to the short girl, all the while wondering why he had such a history concerning short-haired girls with attitude.]
I think they need to get kicked out of the hospital.
We're on the same page then! lol
And these two are in the same house... oh lord... they're poor housemates.
Re: And these two are in the same house... oh lord... they're poor housemates.

Welcome back, kupo.
[As she spoke, Bloom had been currently putting a few things together to out away before going to the living room and see someone she knew had turned to crystal only weeks ago. She smiled slightly, happy that someone she cared about was back.]
Are you hungry?

Tears practically flow down Luffy's face like open faucets, streaming down his face and swinging about as he moves his feet to carry her around in a circle. His voice becomes muffled between the gross-sobbing and over-energetic vocals he's trying to speak with.]

Luffy... I would hold you back, but you managed to pin my arms down as well.

What had Nami said to him all the while ago? Luffy was as clueless about such things as a newborn would be about written language. A finger comes up to flick at his bottom lip as he ponders, plays over the different recommendations and advice that he'd been handed when it came to knowing a girl who meant a great deal to him. His body goes rigid, as if he'd been electrocuted with a sudden idea. Hands roam over his many pockets, feeling out his clothing to try and locate anything of value. No legs of meat, no leftover meals or food for him to give the one person he'd missed more than those back in his own home.
He had the coin which Zelda had given him, an ornate and shiny looking piece of gold that had held a great deal of significance to him and his friend. Would she mind if Luffy did something to show the same level of appreciation? He brings the coin to his teeth, giving it a firm bite and pulling down as the small keepsake is broken in two pieces. The end still attached to the chain on which it had been given to him is held out to Bloom, Luffy's voice not following the gesture as expected as for once in his life he's rather unsure of how to properly say anything outside of showing it through action.]

At the Hospital
[Yuffie has her hands on her hips and a light cocky smile pulling at her lips. Okay, she's happy to see him. She isn't expecting an awakening like that but it's very Luffy esk.]
You don't want to ask about your ship or how awesome I am for keeping an eye on it for you?
[Even as she spoke she tossed a bag of snacks at Luffy. It hadn't been meant for him but whatever.
Somehow seeing Luffy helps with the weight of everything that's happened. He's the sort of person who always has the will and drive to keep moving forward and Yuffie is a little envious of that. She isn't like that but she's trying.]
Re: At the Hospital
Yuffie~!! CHOMPCHOMP How-.. How long was I out?
[A single finger pushes against the few bits of meal that try and escape his lips, the large load of food balling up and sinking down into his throat in a cartoonish manner befitting the food-centric pirate.]
I totally forgot about the ship! I've missed.. Well, my stomach feels like I've missed two hundred and ninety meals!
At the Hospital
I’d hazard a month.
[Plus or minus a few days but it’s a good guess. ]
Knowing you, that number sounds about right.
Re: At the Hospital
I.. I REALLY DID MISS TWO HUNDRED AND NINETY MEALS!!
[The reality of the missed meals and snacks does much more to motivate him from the bed than worrying about matters of his ship and crew. It doesn't speak well of his usual compassion, but a pirate on an empty stomach is a ticking time bomb to a level of destruction that Aqures Ixen has not seen since the Imperial invasion.
Legs kick up, atrophy making itself aware as the pirate lands face first on the ground with a shattering "THUD". He goes still, murmuring against the floor as he tries to call for Yuffie's assistance.]

...but no, there is only one man who would make that much noise and be so focused on food after waking up from a death-like sleep.
Ramza wants to do so many things. Rush to Luffy's side and clasp his hand, punch him in the face for having made him suffer through that, run away until he can think straight. He settles for backing away and hurrying to the cafeteria. He comes back with a tray filled with a few plates of the mystery meat they serve, and a big glass of water to wash it down. He puts it down on Luffy's bedside table without a word, not trusting himself to speak yet.]
Re: Hospital
. . .
[There had to be something to say, specific words to fill the silence so as to show the other male how much he's missed him despite being trapped in crystal and the moment being instantaneous for him. Should he greet him in a way befitting a hero and a knight? Or should he keep it casual or simple as he had been known to do? For that matter, why was it that he was thinking this over so much? Giving his head a shake to move around his thoughts, the lad finally pipes up and gives voice to their meeting.]
Yo~.
[That'll do.]
no subject
Welcome back.
[He sits on the chair the hospital keeps by each bed for guests and nods toward the plate. He's waited this long, he can give Luffy a moment more to eat his fill.}

That's it?
[Luffy grumbles, crossing his arms as he pouts some what from Ramza's response. He rises from the bed, legs wobbling as he tramps over towards Ramza before his arms open wide to give his friend a large hug. He lifts Ramza from the ground, burying his face into his comrade while still pouting.]
That's no way to act when your brother comes back! What happened while I was gone? Is your sword still missing? Did some one poo on your head? Did you not eat this morning??

[Alarmed, she winces as she drives her stiff and aching muscles to carry her to the crystal room. Most of the people she knows aren't there, thankfully. But there are two she does recognize, which causes an odd pang of melancholy. Yachiru. Kija. Why...?]
[Then there's a shower of crystal raining down on the startled shinigami as a youth with shaggy black hair practically explodes out of his crystal cocoon. She swivels her head around to stare at him. Wasn't he present at the mansion expedition? She never did catch his name.]
...Who are you?
no subject
Nuh-? Me? I'm Luffy. I'm the man who's going to free Crystallis and return home to become the Pirate King. [He sniffs the air, extending his arm upwards to give a whiff of his now exposed armpit.] Huh.. I smell stinky. Guess I died again, huh? Shishishishi~!! [The pirate grits his teeth as he laughs, lifting the hat from his lap and setting it upon the top of his head where it belongs.]
You got any food on you? I'm starving! Something tells me I've missed a lot of meals. Something like.. [He holds a hand to his stomach, his face contorting into an odd expression that is part way between deep thought and a stomachache.]
Two hundred and ninety meals?

[Luffy.]
[How many times did Rukia send him letters asking for him to speak with her about his experience as someone who died? None of those letters were ever answered! And not because he was in crystal stasis, because that letter would have been returned. No, he got his letters, and deliberately ignored them! ANGERRRRRRRRRRRR.]
[Suddenly Rukia rushes at him, grabbing him by the front of his vest.]
WHY DID YOU NEVER RESPOND TO ANY OF MY LETTERS?! FOOL!

But it put her close enough to overhear his awakening. She wound her way through the room until she found him. "Welcome back to the land of the living, Captain. I see your crystal nap hasn't done anything to hurt your energy." She smirked, crossing her arms and leaning against the wall. She'd honestly been worried about him and it was good to see someone awaken from Crystal Stasis for once.
Re: Hospital
"Huh? Oh. How long have I been out?"
The quaking sound of the pit, now growing larger in his stomach, echoes about the small room in which he'd awoken in. Looking down to see the ripples of his covered stomach wave like the steady current of the sea, the pirate's eyes go wide before looking back to Mary.
"Got anything to eat here?"
Re: Hospital
The interruption by his stomach catches Mary offguard. She doesn't quite know whether to find it funny or offensive considering the situation. Instead she just pushes past it. It's nothing she's not learned to expect from the other pirate after all. "Not with me this time. And I expect you'd want something a bit more hearty than the hospital food here."
She glances off into the collection of crystalized Heroes. "Bonnie is off visiting someone. I was going to take her to get a meal when we're done. You're welcome to join us if you want." Across the room the Assassin's moogle can be seen fluttering in front of a crystalized moogle.
