Summary: The Heroes of Light have lost consciousness and now find themselves in the middle of nowhere, without their Moogles and away from everything they know. [This thread is for playing out what happens as the characters awaken in their initial predicament.]

[ Waking up in an unusual place without any remembrance of what happened? Nothing new for Hinata Hajime. In fact, this would probably be the third - possibly more, he's lost count - time that he's had to deal with that particular situation, to the point where it's almost annoying.

Almost, but not quite there. Getting up on his own two feet, the young looking teen (?) manages to adjust his tie, green eyes glancing around. This wasn't any of the towns or places he'd visited in the last few months...

So, where exactly was he? ]

...

[ Swallowing hard, he notices that he's not alone. That's a good sign, at least. ]

Oi, wake up. [ He'll say that much to anyone who's still sleeping. This isn't a good place to do that?? Please wake up. ]

[Yugi moved slightly, his head lifting up slightly to take a look around. To be honest he was expecting to be in bed and wondering when he fell asleep, but instead came face to face with someone else. Someone he had no idea who it was.

It was enough to cause the young man to quickly sit up and shift back slightly.]

I'm up. [It slowly dawns on him that he isn't at home as he started to look around.]

Though... Where are we and how did we get here?

[ At least he's not dead, that much is a relief. He doesn't want to wake up next to dead bodies, he's kind of "been there, done that" and it isn't fun to repeat in the slightest bit.

He shakes his head at the question, however. ]

I don't know, but there's a... river? [ Does this place look familiar? It doesn't look familiar to him. ]

[Saori groaned as she got up. She definitely didn't remember her post-work drink being this strong and this clearly wasn't the pub she was at.]

Yeah I'm up. Doesn't look like any forest outside of Aqure Ixen from what I can tell.

[Mary had woken up around the time that Hinata had started shouting, but she didn't say anything at first. Her first goal was try to find her bearings and figure out what was going on before calling attention to herself. The fact that she was laying on grass was a bit disconcerting but better than stone or metal or even wood. It meant she was at least outside.

Listening to the others, and hearing Saori's voice in particular puts her a bit at further ease. She hasn't been captured, least as far as they know or are letting on. But the likelyhood of getting a knife in her back at her movement is far less now.

As she pushes herself to her feet she feels her hair failing down. She can't remember if she was wearing her bandana or not before this, but that's a moot point now.]

Nghhh, more trickery at work then? Some new vision or warning about the Calamity without any real explanation?

[Given their past experiences it seems likely to her. Making a point of catching Saori's eyes with her own she gives her girlfriend a quick nod of reassurance. She's fine and she's going to make sure they all stay safe.]

It's a possibility, but we shouldn't rule anything out just yet. Maybe if we walk around, we might find some clues.

[ It's time to investigate! Which Hinata is clearly doing by walking around the general vicinity to see if there's anything amiss. It's honestly like he's doing a point and click. Huh. ]

Try not to stray too far now. We don't know how strong the monsters are here or if we can be revived.

[Good job, Saori. She shook her head. That's one train of thought that did need to get going. Having Mary around would definitely help keep her mind in check. Seeing the forest and its tall trees gave her an idea.]

Maybe we'll have better luck if I went up.

[ She walked to one of the taller trees closest to them. Thanks to the Assassin job, it made climbing up a whole lot smoother. She kept watch of her surroundings as she did, turning her head at the slightest noise she could pick up.]

[Yugi kept his eyes looking around before he started to check what he had on him. He knew where he had been before now, so he figured out already that they were very limited and also, they were probably without water or food.

That couldn't be good.]

While everyone is looking... Perhaps we should actually find ways to carry water or food as well as we don't know how far we are from anywhere.

[Mary's concerns are quickly abating. Even if she's not thrilled with the situation that they're in right now at least everyone seems to have a good head on their shoulders and their priorities in the right place. Then again perhaps it's all they've been through that's preventing them from panicking.

She gives Hinata and Yugi each a nod of agreement at their suggestions. She's about to climb a tree out of instinct when Saori beats her to it. She can't help but be proud of the fledgling Assassin.]

I'll have a look further around then. Don't worry. I won't go too far.

[And with that she Vanishes, using the Illusionist skill to teleport in leapfrog jumps around their location.]

I'll keep an eye out here, in case anybody else happens to show up.

[ If anyone seems to show up. ]

Sure thing! I'll whistle if I spot trouble!

[Saori continued her way up, pausing now and then to look around. The higher she went, the less she seemed to know where they were. She hadn't been traveling outside of the cities much but she knew the area around Aqures Ixen fairly well.

What bothered Saori even more was the possibility they weren't the only ones who got dropped into random locations. Without their moogles, not only was the possibility of changing jobs unavailable, they had no means of long distance communications. She only hoped getting above the treeline would provide some answers at least.]
