Week One
[Yesterday, everyone woke up in a strange place and realized that they'd been kidnapped, and also that everyone else around them may or may not be kinnies? Wow, what a weird escalation of kin drama! Given what some people have seen of Spongebob's freaky arm thing, though, maybe it's not that at all?
Your Assistant Director, Hester, showed off her stuff and immediately had her life threatened by Lumpy Space Princess, who got her life threatened right back. Maybe you should keep that in mind if you decide to pay Hester any more visits! She won't be making another public appearance this week, but as promised, she'll be available for visits and consultation in the Principal's Office during business hours.
If you don't want to chat with Hester, there's always the school to explore! Some of you might also be receiving mysterious coins next to your bedside this week - those must be useful for something, right? There's lots to do, and you all seem like a group who can make your own fun, so enjoy your first week of school!]

(( OOC: This will be the last mod post for this week! Feel free to start submitting regains for any threads that aren't with Hester. Remember, song threads mean an extra coin! This is a peace week, so get all that CR while you can! ))

MONDAY
no subject
Regardless of whenever your character wakes up on Monday, they’ll find that Spongebob is already in the kitchen, making a rather impressive breakfast of pancakes, bacon, eggs, and coffee.
If your character approaches him he will turn to them with an energy like it wasn’t painfully early in the morning.]
Good morning! How do you like your eggs?
[After breakfast, he spends a good chunk of the day actually exploring the school, since he hasn’t gotten an opportunity to do that yet. He feels particularly drawn to the Costume Room. He loves dress up and this room was practically like heaven to him! He tries on a variety of garish outfits for a few solid hours before finding this terrifying costume and he immediately puts it on, laughing in the mirror at the final result.]
It’s like a big me costume!
[At least someone's having fun.]
kitchen
At least until the morning comes, and the physical needs of the body begin interfering with its ability to even think, much less sleep. Frustrated, and already feeling effects- its normally impeccable balance is stumbling, just a bit- when it smells food that makes the body's mouth water, it decides that clearly it should take advantage of whomever made a meal. By its deductions, that should be...
It stares at Spongebob for all of two seconds - an eternity, to it - then back towards the food. After another moment;]
Edible.

Other than that... She sees no sense in disturbing her routine. She stops in the costume room, tearing through piles of clothes until she finds a leotard that's at least close to her previous style.
From there, it's off to the dance studio. She spends... a lot of time in there. Like... a lot. After completing her morning stretches, she begins moving through her most recent routine. It's clear that she can move, and she doesn't seem to get tired, either.
By early afternoon, she seems satisfied, at least. She returns to the costume shop, grabbing a long sweater and some leggings. She also grabs a swath of fabric, and returns to the locker room to clean up.
Once she's dressed for the day and her hair is tied back with a makeshift ribbon, she heads to the choir room where she... practices some more. At least she's not leaping around. She warms up with scales, practices a few high notes, and then eventually pulls out a piano and some sheet music and follows whatever songs she can find.]

But - he at least knows dancing when he sees it. After awkwardly watching in the doorway, he shuffles in.]

So where is he? He can be found in various locations, starting with the Lobby at the front doors. He's sitting on the ground in front of them, using a measuring tape he pilfered from the costume room to measure the dimensions of the door, and various other things...taking as much information down as he can while he's still here.
Later, he'll go to the Scene Shop, absolutely full of various supplies he could use if he can come up with a rough idea of some schematics for them. Actually what he'd be making is a different story entirely, but that's why he's spending today doing some recon for that very purpose. The power tools in particular he's noting the location of, though there's no reason to take any of them just now. If he needs to build something, it makes more sense to take the project here instead of elsewhere anyway. He's...also examining the mechanical lift in very close detail, circling it, crouching beside it, mumbling things and writing them down. Either he's never seen one, or he's planning on seeing if he can take it apart for spare parts for his own use at some point. You know, normal teenage stuff.
Later in the evening he retreats to Broadhurst, but the door is left ajar so anyone can just wander by if they're curious. Varian's taking advantage of his precarious position at the top bunk, using some tacks from the Costume Room to pin up a whole host of elaborate sketches he's already put together on several different sheets of paper on the walls up against his bed, even a few on the ceiling if he can reach it, all of them fitting together to make up...well, it's hard to tell. It looks like it's still in early stages, mostly Varian throwing anything at the wall and seeing what sticks.]

The first place Salieri finds himself is the Scene Shop. The writing supplies have been temporarily abandoned on one of the worktables while Salieri himself can be found searching through the supplies and pointedly avoiding any sharp objects. He does not look particularly pleased to be in such a place, but needs must and all that.
Once acquiring what he was searching for, he retreats to the Band Room and abandons his writing supplies (now with the addition of the ruler) once again, this time on the music stand of the piano. Seeing as this particular instrument is rather out of tune, a search of the room gives him the tools to tune it, and he sets about doing so. This does take quite longer than he’s used to, so one might find him with his head in the piano, the lid propped up as open as it will go (since he can’t remove it all on his own,) muttering to himself.
Eventually, with effort, he gets the piano tuned! He’ll lower the lid after that, and return to his twice abandoned writing supplies with the intent to finally use them. He’s not entirely sure what else to do with himself, Salieri is going to do what he’s done for most of his musical career: compose. He’ll make his own sheet music with the ruler, penciling in musical ideas, crossing others out, and tinkering on the piano as he does so.
Music may be the food of love, but Salieri will eventually find that it’s no substitute for the real thing, and does find that he’s rather hungry. With that, he’ll pack up his writing supplies and venture to the Kitchens, at which point he’s going to try and look for something to eat. If he doesn’t find anything, he’ll set about preparing the simplest thing he knows: a light potato soup. Nothing fancy, of course, seeing as he’s not a chef. But he can be caught peeling some potatoes, if nothing else.
At the end of the day, having hopefully eaten, Salieri will return back to Broadhurst Dorms with a cup of tea and his writing supplies. Once there, he’ll settle at his desk to leaf through what he’s written, giving it one more once over and making some final notes while occasionally taking some time to stare out the window.]

Mods for second prompt, please!
[It's about after breakfast time when a scream emanates from the girl's bathroom. It sounds terrified, almost deathly so, and anyone who rushes in to see what is happening--
Will find Elisabeth staring in one of the mirrors, deathly pale, hand on her cheek, eyes wide and full of abject horror.]
No...what...!?
[Mind her hair when you're walking to her, it goes all the way to the floor. But yeah, she's looking like she's seeing a ghost.]
This cannot be right
Whose face is this...
Can this truly be mine-!?
It can't be mine--

MADEMOISELLE HESTER! I must speak with you-!

[Yeah, she's going to find something more suitable for herself. She considers herself fashionable, thank you. Even if she's inexplicably old.
So, she at last goes to the costume room and starts pulling out random dresses, frowning. There's a pile of them as time goes by, and...well, whenever someone comes in, she casts an eye over to them, pointing to the pile.]
You can look through those, if you like. I don't think going to wear them.

o modly ones: investigation
He doesn't care much about anything else, but he does end up in the dance studio doing... yoga? Kinda looks like yoga. Feel free to join him or something, he is. Sort of friendly? Friendly-adjacent.
Anyway, after that Connor ends up in the kitchen, which is the only place that he actively pokes around. Mostly he's trying to see what he can make, but he's also trying to see where the ingredients come from to see if he can get a better idea of where they are. Also he's looking for any sort of recipe cards or, y'know. Book. Notes. Things like that.
After that investigation, Connor starts making pizza. It's pizza. Everyone likes pizza, right? There's seemingly enough for at least most of the people present, provided nobody takes literally an entire pizza out of the, like, six he made. Mostly he just wanted to do something physical and making pizza dough is the best he could come up with. He'll take requests if you happen to come in while he's cooking, but mostly they're gonna be cheese and pepperoni otherwise.]

Eurydice has avoided everyone as much as possible, but even she can admit that she needs some amount of rest. Eurydice has collected her supplies in a rolled-up bedsheet, which she hides in the corner of the dorm, and then flops into the nearest bed and passes out. It might not even be her bed. She's not sorry.
After her nap, she'll head over to the girl's restrooms to splash some water on her face, and then it's off to the kitchens. She still can't believe there's all this food just...here, for the taking, and she loads up on as many nonperishables as she can manage.
Later in the day, Eurydice will do a more thorough sweep of some of the rooms, including the dance room. She's managed to locate its single CD, and is staring at it, a little perplexed. This is like a record, right? But...smaller? And what are those people wearing? It all seems a bit much. ]

When he does break off on his own, it's to the band room, in search of a
lyreguitar. He finds one - out of tune, but that's an easy enough fix - and proceeds to just... take it with him, slinging it over his back on its strap and wandering off with it. It's not stealing if he doesn't leave the building with it, and since he can't do that it's probably fine. He then rejoins his wife, sitting down crosslegged in the corner of the dance room and playing a slow, swaying tune, singing along in a high, clear voice. ]Stars shining bright above you

Unfortunately, he does wake up back in his cot.
From there, he doesn't really know what to do? He knows what normal people might do - he manages to wander over to the showers, and then to the kitchen where Spongebob has prepared breakfast. Thank god for Spongebob, honestly; he's the only one keeping anybody fed. After that...well, what do normal people do with their time? At a loss, the Balladeer wanders for a while before eventually just ending up in the band room again. He's just playing the guitar this time, strumming out a little tune. When someone enters, he looks simultaneously excited for company and a little wary.]
Oh...hi. Uh...what are you doing? [Oh, wait, he knows what he can do!] Any requests?
[In the afternoon, he returns to the kitchen to try and find some food on his own. He never gets to eat on-stage, and usually he wouldn't want any more food for a while after a good hearty breakfast like that one. But living with the Player, these past few weeks...maybe he got used to it. She fed him all the time.
Now, he's just standing and staring into the fridge. He's realizing that he...doesn't actually know how to cook. Maybe he'll just eat an apple. That's a thing people do, right?
At some point, he also realizes that basically everyone else here has changed out of their costumes. Frankly, he doesn't even like his; he'd just been wearing it because he...thought he was supposed to? As much as he's supposed to do anything here. If everyone else is doing it, though, it must be alright. As such, he goes to the costume room and starts poking around.]
I've never really had a chance to pick my own costume, from scratch. [He holds up a ruffly pirate shirt and frowns at it.] How am I supposed to know what works if they won't tell us anything about the show?
