( WELCOME BACK, TRAVELERS. )

There's nothing but the clatter of train tracks, and the odd feeling of almost floating.
When you wake, it's hard to tell exactly what it is that you're missing - only that you are. There are pieces that aren't quite right, even if you're not sure where those pieces would normally be. Pieces of what, exactly....? Well, if you had to put a word to it, it would be - yourself, probably. Or did you get something back recently?
The place you've found yourself in is strange, certainly. It's probably worth exploring a bit. Though it just as easily seems that the only form of welcome or explanation that you have, comes from nothing more than a slab of marble. It might've changed since the last time you saw it.
You might have changed since the last time you saw yourself too - perhaps with a new emblem on your clothes, or a portrait on your skin.
There's no need to fret that much though. You've already gone through the ordeal once, and you might be able to see results from it. Even so, it's best that you don't get too comfortable, because there is still the unshakeable feeling:
There's still much more ahead of you.

[ Lux is standing somewhere in The Center, looking at the train that she has apparently just stepped off of. She has one hand on her chin as she looks it over curiously. ]
... Is this hextech? I've never seen something like this - nothing so big. Or fast...
It must be at least partly run on magic, right? I mean, coming to a place like this?
[ Weirdly, it's hard to tell if she sounds like she thinks that's fascinating or horrible. ]
ii. emblem???
[ If you happen to be looking at Lux at just the right time while she's exploring - wherever - you'll see her hand idly drift down to an emblem on her cloak.
She looks down at it, and... Apparently was expecting to see something else, because her shoulders jump. After a moment of looking at it, she tears it off of her cloak and throws it to the ground, then starts to walk away.
... But only gets a few steps away before she awkwardly turns back around to grab it again. ]
iii. wildcard.
[ she's exploring, so she can be found anywhere, walking around with a 'generally confused' sort of aura. a real 'i'm hoping someone will stop me and ask if i'd like them to explain everything going on' sort of expression. ]
i
[He’s just passing by, but he does stop to look over his shoulder to tend to the question.]
Magic isn’t always necessary, but I think this is an unusual case.
no subject
[ And, well, some regions are more advanced than others. She looks from the train, to him, and back. ]
It isn't always necessary - but it is sometimes?
no subject
That is not a normal train. Something that’s moving us through incomprehensible spaces and stops — I don’t know of a science that can properly explain it. Magic must be filling in the gaps.
That’s my meaning.

...Is, um... Is something wrong?
no subject
[ Hrm. She pockets the emblem instead of pinning it back on her cloak. ]
No, nothing. My family crest has been replaced, that's all.
no subject
By what? [ ...wait, stupid question, he's looking down at his right hand - he covers it briefly, but then slowly... drops his left hand from it. coat of arms baybee. ] ...One of these, or something else?

What, was there a bug on it, or what? There, there, it's okay~
[ He gives it a little shake, letting the emblem flash in her face. ]
no subject
No! No, I just... [ She does not have an explanation. ] ... Dropped it.
[ Smooth. Very believable. A+. ]
no subject
You'll have a harder time dropping it if you wear it properly~ Now, let's get this back on you...
[ What kind of cloak is it. Are there sleeves?? Kano just sort of holds the cloak out for her to take so she can put it back on and wear that emblem proudly. ]

[Re: running on magic... LOOK. He learned what trains were, but he also learned that normal trains don't Do This. When in doubt, blame some nebulous magic bullshit. It's probably not totally inaccurate.]
Some certainly seem more magic than others. Just wait until one of the really fast ones goes by! It'll feel like you're about to be knocked over by the wind from it.
no subject
[ Wind magic sounds OP. Ha ha..... ]
Then again, I suppose this whole situation is hard to imagine.
no subject
You'll see for yourself soon enough! Ah, but you're right about that. It is a lot to take in, isn't it? [Says the person who seems unfazed by almost everything?? It's fine.]
Have you been to the pillar yet? Or the big bulk store? Those are the two most important places here, I'd say, outside of the airport.

[ she cocks her head to the side, though, as she takes a second to pause and think... ]
But I guess I wouldn't totally rule it out, though!
no subject
I don't picture this sort of thing when I think of magic. I guess.

If you'd like to be rid of it, a trash bin may be a better location for it.
no subject
A-Ah... Yes, you're probably right.
I think I'll just hold onto it for now, though.
no subject
[ Going back and forth like that, only ripping a portion of the cloak instead of taking it off entirely, etc.
Despite her question, her tone isn't pushy or needling, more like a light curiosity that Lux can brush away. ]

[um?? lux you can't just say these things without explaining them to the benefit of the peanut gallery who's hovering behind you]
Do you mean hex as in a curse? There are curses in your world? Is that part of your world's magic? Can you cast them?
no subject
Ah... I suppose you could consider magic itself to be a curse.
[ That only partially answered the questions, but it's. Fine. ]
no subject
Okuni pauses, for once her look 0% Petty Judging and more 100% Curiosity now.]
Is that what you believe?

Not quite your style? Or is it the color?
no subject
Oh, n-no, it's just... They've replaced something of mine with this, and... I don't know that I want what they've given me.
no subject
Sorry. . . that does suck.
I wonder if there's a way to get it back. . .?
