Episode 9: Welcome to the World of Pokemon -- Again! The Galar Trip!

Welcome to the Galar Region everyone!
After a long trip, you've all arrived, rested up and now are touring the countryside before heading to Wyndon. Along the way, you and your classmates get to experience the gentleness of the city before heading to the biggest city of the nation.
Some stops are along the way as follows.

First stop is the big and majestic Wild Area around Motostoke and Hammerlocke. This rich, lush area is full of natural beauty, and is a haven for Pokemon. Trains, trainers and Pokemon all travel through this landscape, as you can see dens lit up across the landscape. Your tour guide will inform you that these Dens are full of Dynamax Pokemon, and can be battled and caught if you wish to test your mettle.
There are Pokemon of all kinds, not quite all of the Pokemon you might find in other regions but Pokemon are migrating in and out of Galar at all times with unique and bizzare forms.

Incredible looking Stow-on-Side is another stop where the trains run, yes, trains run to Stow-on-Side, not EVERYONE walks here, silly! and Here, you can find the historical murals of the landscape, the Fighting Gym run by Bea (when it's not swapped out with Allister every other half a year but this time it's Bea's turn), and maybe if you're plucky enough, Bea will let you challenge her gym. Who knows, she might accept.

Hullbury Gym is in the opposite direction and we'll be taking the Train there as well, or you could rent a bike and hoof it across the bridge, it's up to you. Or a Corviknight Taxi. Either way, we'll be setting out from Hammerlocke in the middle of the week to visit Nessa.
In the middle of the week, we will arrive at our destination. The beautiful city of Wyndon.

Wyndon is a bustling metropolis where some peculiar going-ons have been taking place. While it shouldn't bother you at the moment, Chairman Rose himself has come to meet you and the students with a genuine smile on his face along with his placid secretary, and none other than Champion Leon.
All are very enthusiastic to meet the students, and some of the Fallers who have decided to come on the trip, including the chaperones.
In all, you've been put up at the swankiest hotel thanks to the Chairman's goodwill, and have fun experiencing the life of Wyndon for the next ten days!
This is where the real Mystery Begins, as reports of strange red light has been affecting citizen's Pokemon, and Dynamaxing them once in a while...

Sena's out and about with his whole team like usual, and it's not uncommon to find him in the depths of the Wild Area trying to outrun the Pokemon that chase after him. It's become sort of a challenge - if he can't outrun them, his Pokemon join into the fray. Although...some of the slower Pokemon are taking the appearance of this fast human as a challenge...
"Hah...haaah!" This is...probably one of the rarer times that Sena's been so exuberant, actually. It's the first real long hike he's had in a while...
"Feels like we're travelling all over again, ah...?" His Pokemon all respond with varying levels of energy, although all of them do seem to be enjoying the time they're spending together. It's certainly a motley crew.

Her Ariados Mayday trundled alongside her, sniffing at the flowers and at everything else as she asked, "What to catch first? Anything you guys see that's good?"
no subject
Then again, there probably isn't a single person on earth who could stop Hiruma from getting anything he wanted. Sena chuckles weakly at the thought before shaking himself off.
"There's so many Pokemon here I haven't seen before..." He grins as a Galarian Zigzagoon darts past him, its characteristic running pattern so similar to his. "Kinda makes it hard to decide who to challenge first, actually!"

"... It's a nice place," he comments, as if Sena had been talking to him. "It's very green... And yet there are bits that are sandy. And snowy?"
He doesn't understand the weather here.
Morpeko doesn't either. Nor does he seem to care. He eagerly runs up to Sena's Pokemon! Hello! New friends?! Are you for fighting or playing?!
REIRA | OTA
The Wild Area. A truly dangerous region of the land, notably having sections where pokemon trainers of all sorts will avoid moving through grass entirely because they know their limits in the gym will leave them outmatched by the pokemon of the wilds. A region of Galar where especially strong pokemon, of advanced stages of evolution, brazenly wander the paths ready to chase down any fool of a trainer who dares to come near.
Reira, go figure, has either not listened to any warnings because she was too busy staring at someone's galaran meowth, or has decided to actively ignore the warnings, given that seconds after the tour guide begins leading them off she's already tearing away in the opposite direction of the group.
Really, it only takes ten minutes and then well! Everyone probably should have expected this.
Understandably, Reira is as difficult to locate in the grass as wild riolu, among other things. She also appears to be entirely undettered by the weather, if anything pressing onward more stubbornly as she explores. This is a very nice place, even if there are a number of hungry-angry-scared feelings from wild pokemon to avoid, which keeps her from ending up in an awkward encounter.
And then she spots something against a tree, like a little blue crystal. It feels like a crystal, even- but after a second or so it actually feels a bit like it might even be...melting?
"...Candy!"
The hunt is on. Reira's wandering continues, carrying her far to the bridge connecting Motosoke and Hammerlocke's ends of the fields and then over it. Is there candy by the other trees? In the grass? Eventually she's poking in more than a few holes, until a small growl grabs her attention. Funny, she didn't actually feel any angry-scared emotions coming near, so-
Oh, that's because they're not.
The Machamp standing there looks rather smug...at least initially. Flexing impressively, leering from above, he's more than ready to show this little upstart trainer why it's best to stick to the proper paths! Except...No pokemon comes out.
"...Champ?"
Reira looks back up at the Machamp...And proceeds to if anything, have a non-zero reaction. "I got here first," she states rather plainly. "...You have to get candy somewhere else."
"Ch..CHAMP!?"
"Yeah."
They're not conversing. Far from it in fact. The Machamp however is stunned. This thing can fit in his hand! They're not even running away! What's happ-
"OBBBBBBSTAAAAAAAAAA!"
Obstagoon used cross chop. Which wasn't that effective, not really, but then-
Obstagoon used taunt. The Machamp charges- Obstagoon used Obstruct...Machamp's defense plummets.
"OBBBBBBSTAGOOOOONNNN!" And with a rocking final finish, a series of furious swipes send the Machamp packing!
Reira claps. Because, it seems polite. "Oh! You're strong!"
...And.
"...You can have a candy I guess. You're being nice."
It's the start of a beautiful friendship indeed. Den mother Obstagoon is quick to laugh in her tongue-wagging way before being joined by her cete- other linoone and zigzagoon- and in a matter of moments the thing that the tour group will finally be able to find is...
Obstagoon Obstructing while the kids rock out around scaring off other pokemon...as the human kid stoops down at a pokemon den and starts pulling out more of those crystaline candies, shoving them in her bag.
"Oh...there's really big ones in this one..."
Child....
[Let's Sing A Song About Trains!]
Eventually the riveting tour of the Wild Area must end. Reira's backpack is absolutely bursting with experience candies (not to mention that large egg she found in Alola all that time ago), but now she's got something else as well.
A black and white striped egg, of somewhat smaller scale, sits on her lap. She's been a little more protective of this one, see- it was given to her by the Obstagoon crew personally, and she wants to take good care of it. At the same time...
"...........I hope you hatch faster..." she mutters, frowning a bit at it.
[CAN...DY...]
It's finally time for rest. Everyone is settled in the hotel, and while one egg remains nestled in candies, the other is nested on a pillow instead. Both are technically beside each other of course, and not on a bed, but Reira is doing her best. As it is, she carefully pulls out a small little candy and eyes it eagerly. She's been waiting. Waiting so she doesn't spoil any of her food like everyone has taken to warning her. So she brings it to her mouth and............
.............
"Blhhhhh..." Wow this tastes terrible actually, what the heck. "'S gross..."

YUUME | OTA
MmmMMOOOOUUUUUUU!
There had been a red light shining from one of the dens. "Ahh," the tour guide explained. "That's an active den- there's a Dynamax field within, and a dynamaxed pokemon that can be fought and captured!" She had then examined it- and after a moment, beamed at the group. "This one looks simple enough- if you want to test your mettle, go on and jump in! Only four to a match though, and remember..."
Only one can catch it.
The pokemon looks massive. It reminds Yuume greatly of the battle with the Skarmory- yet somehow different. Yuume looks to her own pokemon, her Audino of course, and nods.
"Saah...are you ready then? It'll be all on you, neh? We need to practice more on letting you get those hits in hmm?"
"Dii-noo?"
"Ahaha...well, if you need a boost of course..!"
"DIIII NOOOO~!"
Let the raid begin! Hatenna has appeared!
[A Moment With Nature (And Trees)]
"Ahh, careful..." Yuume, it seems, now has a third member on the team. Significantly smaller without the furling Dynamax energies to bolster them, Hatenna has taken an immediate shine to the other two members of the relatively pink team- the colours mostly balanced by creams of various shades, and a few blues.
It's a peaceful spot to relax however- Yuume even has a book she's pulled out, quietly leaning back before turning to the one who's joined her. "It's been a fairly nice day, if not rather eventful, neh?" she comments with a small smile.
"...How are you doing?"
[Imagine the History!]
"Incredible..."
The ruins of Stow-on-Side, both displayed and otherwise, are a sight to behold; yet somehow, it's a teapot that has caught Yuume's eye. "Absolutely intricate patterning...there's certainly been a great amount of wear on it, but over all it's scarcely chipped..."
The woman examines a teapot she's found on display with absolute care, treating it with nothing but grace. Eventually she looks to the stall's salesman. "How much did you say this was..?"
"Oh...3000P, miss! A real bargain!"
Yuume blinks. And squints. It is a bargain. A very...good bargain. Oddly good. But as she looks under the pot...
There's some sort of mark there. Odd. But ultimately she also just liked the look of the pot and thought that the couple back in Alola would enjoy a gift so...
"Alright. I'll take it then. Do you have anything to wrap it up in?"
If anyone else cares to enjoy the antique, best hurry- unless you plan to offer some packaging yourself.
[A Friend Indeedee,]
The Glimwood Tangle is a beautiful forest, truly. A little bit off the path, of course...why, she suspects the tour wasn't going to bring them here at all by the end of the day, instead preferring to keep everyone at Stow-on-Side! But the forest has its own allure, and she's done her sight-seeing back there by now so instead she wanders. Hatenna bouncing and dancing a little ahead with Alcremie, and Audino at her side.
And then they notice something.
"....Indeedee."
Well, it's more that they insist on making themselves known.
"Ah...hello?" They don't appear to be planning on battle. Actually, the pokemon even has one arm behind their back, the other held forward in wait. After some hesitance, Yuume looks to her Audino. "...I think he might want your hand, Audino..."
"A...Audi..?"
She gives it. The Indeedee immediately bows, granting it a kiss.
"A-AUDI!?"
"Indeed! Innndeedee!" Is the insisted reply, Audino's hand returned as he scurries around the pair. To Yuume, it's difficult to tell what's going on. The Audino however...
Is getting flustered. And being offered berries. And flowers. And...
"Th...they seem to really like you, hmm..."
"A-Audi!!" halp
[The Fire in an Opal | CLOSED]
The forest is lovely, but ultimately the party does need to be heading back. "We've gotten rather deep into the woods, haven't we?" Yuume chuckles, the shadows rustling around them. Mushrooms shine dully, and barely anything can be seen in the soft glow. Even so, in her soft pink poncho, Yuume seems to be nothing but optimistic. "Well, we should likely head back at least...otherwise, the others are going to get worried neh?"
The pokemon nod- though they pause, and stare behind her. Yuume...Seems not to notice. Or...
"Ahh...you saw them too?"
Abruptly, a Morgrem is in for a wild surprise- as Yuume not only sidesteps its attempted lunge, but proceeds to snatch it by the hair. "Mmmh." She smiles at it. "...You're just a little rude, hmm?"
"M...Mor!"
The woman's voice lowers, and she frowns. "Perhaps next time, you can try leading someone else astray, hm?"
Rapidly it tries bowing its head to apologize- Yuume however, merely takes her second hand from her hip and uses it to grab the long spear of hair that had been preparing to twitch upward.
"Hmm?" she 'repeats', frown remaining.
The morgrem gives a short 'eep', and she releases it...with a toss back up the ledge beside her. "Grem!!" Suffice to say, it decides she's not worth the effort.
Yuume smiles back to the crowd again. "Saah, let's find ourselves an exit and see about a taxi, neh?"
"A...Auudii..." "Tennn!"
"Hm? What is it?"
What is it? Well.
They've an audience, that's all.
Re: YUUME | OTA
PINK.
"HMMHMMHMHMMHMHMMMMM! Time for my Gym Challenge!" Cackled a wizened voice out of nowhere as a spry old lady was upon Yuume, invading her personal space.
"Yes, yes, i see it. Pink, Pink everywhere. You Suffered A Terrible Fate, haven't you child?" inquired Opal, the Gym Leader of the area.
no subject
Woah!! "G-Gym challenge..!?" Suffice to say Yuume is alarmed. She nearly jumps back in shock, causing a mushroom to light up as it is- only dying the area around them in more pink. "We're in the middle of the woods aren't we..!?"
"Tennnnaaaaaa!" Ah yes, the Hatenna has a point-
"I-" A terrible fate. Somehow, she feels herself grow stiff. "Just what do you mean to imply by that?" she asks, only further incriminating herself on the matter.

"You don't get a day like this in London," he remarks simply. Too dirty and smog-filled. The wind in the trees is captivating because of it. The air is clean. The sun is warm.
That's not all that Dio has going for him, though, and the latter thing might be noticed by Yuume's Pokémon first: in his arms is a bright purple egg, the first of any sort of creature to land in his possession.

Tyzias offers Yuume a jagged smile—oh my, what sharp teeth you have, Miss Entykk!—and a mock salute. Adjusting to life on Alola, then Galar, has been... well, not hard. Tyzias has gone through this whole song and dance too many times for it to be hard. Tyzias has hit the ground running like every other world she's been unwillingly transported to; taking inventory, doing copious research, securing a job, giving a cursory look at the phenomenon that brought her here, etc. But even since she was separated from the crew of the Asmodeus with no way back to the Dream Width, there's been a palpable melancholy to her first few days on ea-
Interrupting her inner monologue, a scruffy (even by Galarian standards) Meowth pokes her head above Tyzias's shoulder, grinning like a maniac, and goes to pounce on the Hatenna. Then, in an instant, Tyzias is holding her partner by the scruff of her neck. "...sorry about that," she says, chuckling and rubbing the back of her neck.

There are, at first, a few incidents with overly aggressive wild Pokemon, but each time they get too close Phym picks them up and throws them in the nearest lake, and the quartet soon has a clear area around them as they continue gathering as much as they can carry.

He's already got a lot of EXP candy from a Dynamax Raid he just jumped right into. He had just given it a warm Alola Welcome, with Kiawe and Lana and Sophocles.
It had buggered off but it was a lot of fun.

And, as you're wandering around, you'll find an odd sight.
It's a duck. A 3-to-4 foot duck being followed by a Farfetch'd and two Galarian Farfetch'd. And they're all wearing shirts and caps colored red, blue and green.
This is a Faller. But, what's a Faller doing all the way out in Galar and not with the group.
"Howdy, all! Don't worry, just a mama duck and her ducklings walking past. Off to kick butt, hopefully!"

But whatever. It's fine. The worst case is waiting for the soft bird to grow out of it.
And of course, his Rotomdex is always battle-ready for when any of the local luchador Pokemon are too strong and rowdy for their dark-feathered kin to handle. Keeping an eagle eye on his party and the students under his watch means he's a bit too busy for birdwatching.
Though one might catch him sending the Swablu to battle a tiny yellow and black-feathered bird and tossing a Pokeball at it. Because the way the light perfectly gleamed off its feathers seemed rather odd yet interesting.Powaaaaaaa
"Don't go too far ahead!" he called out to the young Pokemon as Riolu ran out and ran smack dab into a Bounsweet. "Oh hello," Mirio called out to Shay.

So, why not hunt for something simple, like a Caterpie or something. One of those had to be there, right?
Which is why she's stalking through the grass, trying to find something, anything to catch. And not having much luck.
