text; a bit past midnight!

so if you somehow had the choice to stay here or go home right now what would you do? pretend you don't have, like, a few days to think it over or anything. you just have to pick. 60 seconds or less! i just want to see what people would do

[No ulterior motives here; she really is simply curious to hear what people have to say about the topic. Listening to different opinions on a large subject like this is a good way to spend a night - or morning, as it were.]

Go home. There's no question.

[ okay. there's a little bit of a question. but leaving is the right thing. ]

That's part of it, yes. I don't think it would be easy, necessarily, to leave, but I'd have to.

Certain parts more than others. People, mostly. But don't you?

That's a very noble way to look at things. It probably gets easier the longer you've been away.

I miss my boyfriend the most of all - though it doesn't matter whether I'm home or not; he had some things he needed to take care of. I miss my friend Ruby. She and her grandmother ran a diner and helped me out of a tricky tight spot.

I miss my father, as well.

[ his name is rumplestiltskin and he makes contracts with people and everyone was afraid of him and she used to be his maid. ]

Well, his name is Mr. Gold, and he's a pawnbroker. We met quite a long time ago, but wound up separated for a very, very long time. But true love has a way of working itself out.

That we did! Small town, though. It's bound to happen eventually.

A pawnbroker is someone you can sell your items to temporarily - say you're in a bind and need some money, you'd give them something of yours as collateral.

We lost each other before the town. Back before the curse was cast - we knew each other before the town even existed.

It can have its moments. Generally speaking, there are far worse things he could've been occupying himself with.

He has a good heart. Good intentions. Someone caring and thoughtful underneath everything else. That's all I can really ask for.

Oh, I will. I don't have any doubts about that.

But what about you. Did you have anybody back home?

That's very noble. It's hard to see the ones we care for get hurt, or threatened.

It's not very fair - for those we love, or for anybody.. Sometimes I even wonder if it's conducive, forcing people into this with no determined way out.

Either way, none of it's exactly desirable. This is definitely the lesser of two evils, but either way you look at it, the choices are rather grim. It's difficult when both options make sense.
