That's the worst frame of reference but it'll do. [a pause.] I talked to Chad yesterday because I wanted to buy some stuff off of him. When we spoke, he told me that he and the other dorm heads found some papers that they couldn't make heads or tails of, and he said I could have them for three vouchers. So I bought them.
The papers were for a cancelled TV show called "Wiwaldi Academy: Four Seasons of Drama." The whole thing was written up as a concept for a story starring Chad, Luke, Viola and Sally. It even came with editor notes like that it needed more cats, the principal should be a bear, the storyline needed to be edgier and the cast needed to be bigger.
In the show the academy was on the outskirts of The City, equal distances from the Capital, the North and the Island. Sound familiar?
Maybe the squirrels really are spying on us...or the geese. They did say to replace the bees with geese in case bees are needed later. And didn't we just have a class about bees?
Nope. But it's possible it just wasn't everything available. It was more like an idea...
...but you saw the applications of the dorm heads and the way things were written on them. I can't tell if the applications are fake or if the notes are, but considering that their names were in the script I'm gonna guess the applications themselves.
That's the impression I'm getting so far. I want to keep looking and see what other information we might find, but it's something to keep in mind. If they are being manipulated, it means we have to try to figure out how to fix it.
I'll tell everyone at the dorm. If those papers are to be believed, we're all being made to ad-lib this script. Investigating it further could also potentially lead us to the killers' motives.
That's exactly why I'm telling you. I didn't get to share last night, and I'm locked out now so I'm leaving it to you. If I find anything else I'll let you know to update the others, too.
I might. Maya, Sagihara, and Lucretia all said they'd let me back in whenever I wanted. But I figured they would listen to you the most about this kind of thing.

[He'll be there for some time, enjoying his meal. After all, he's in no rush to leave with a splinted leg.]

Hey. Mind if I sit down?
no subject
Of course. Have you eaten already? If not, you should grab something before you do.

[he will have a seat!]
How's the leg?

. . . Yeah. Was that everything in those papers?

[give him a second to think.]
"Lifelong friendships? Heated competition? Rivals to lovers? Lies and deceit, steaminess and hot-blooded intensity? Eat your heart out, XOXO Gossip Squirrel."
Like someone narrating the whole thing.
