September EMP Meme
FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no fonts and other html that make ads super long, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content). FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canon in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences. ➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR. ➤ There is a "Pairings You Want to Play" section, where you can ask for castmates or crosscanon you'd like to ship with. Please format this with "[YOUR CANON] seeking [CASTMATE/OTHER CANON (if crosscanon)/SEE DESCRIPTION (if a general character type)]. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Pairings You Want to Play" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. Alongside castmates and crosscanon, you can choose to ask for OCs or general character types as well. Try not to get too wordy and please don't outline entire scenarios. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. Keep in mind this needs to be more specific than "this game has easy AC like you're asking for but meets none of your other requirements." Make sure you're advertising games that might click with that specific character, where a few elements fit what they're looking for. You should be thinking about the story reasons of how the character might click with the game. IN GENERAL: ➤ Don't be a dick. This isn't one of the anoncomms, so any snide comments or unnecessary commentary on the RP plans of others will be frozen or screened. ➤ All mod responses regardless of whether they're rule breaks, correction requests (like someone posting in the wrong section), or thwapping someone for spamming copy-paste ads, have always been and will almost universally be public. If someone sends a PM and the conversation gets combative, this will also be made public and posted to the comments of the mod contact page. This is for the sake of transparency so people can judge the emp mod's communications for fairness themselves. There are times where the player's post may be screened (such as if they posted to the wrong section) but the mod's response will be left unscreened. ➤ Players may sometimes be allowed more than one strike for copy-paste ads since this is often just enthusiasm behind it, but game mods should know better. [game info]: Achates is a short-term game (projected to run for a year, possibly two at most) based on Shin Megami Tensei with a focus on mystery, survival and memory loss/alteration. while characters enter the game power nerfed (with an opportunity to regain them through bonus ac), all of them may recruit up to two demons to protect them as they try to survive in the post-apocalyptic town they've woken up in.
the game has a roughly medium pace and functions on a flex schedule - the passage of time in Achates does not run on 1:1 time, meaning that many days can pass oocly while it remains the same ic day, or vice versa. events don't run on a monthly schedule either, new ones only going up after the plot beats of the previous events have been concluded. apps are always open, though a 30 player cap will be in place starting in October. The first event, also functioning as the game's tdm, can be seen here.
Akira, Akechi and Maruki all have some Very Wild Memory Effects going on that I won't expand on too much here for the sake of spoilers, but we're happy to work with any and all castmates to do something fun! we love shenanigans here, throw it at us and we'll probably be down.

[game info]: is an invite-only game based on Rise of the Guardians, a world where various myth figures like Santa and the Easter Bunny secretly defend children from the Bogeyman and other threats. After an otherdimensional being started invading and kidnapped most of the Guardians, the Belief of the kids has pulled the characters in from other universes and transformed them into mythical beings. Recruited as new Guardians, they have to try to stop the nightmare being called Kuk before he destroys all of existence. And also get used to the fact that in the game world, due to the Belief drawing in their stories from the worlds where they're real, they've been written about as fiction.
There is so much baggage Logan has around his dead friends that would be amazing to play with and also his relationship with one of his kids would be great to develop. The game has a collective Marvel cast with 2 character slots left and is a nice grab bag from multiple continuities.

I'm playing Ragna from the end of Continuum Shift so he hasn't gone through the events of Chronophantasma or Central Fiction. But he's been in the game since February (including TDM) and has had a lot of time to be less grouchy now that
he got laidthe Azure Grimoire got nerfed that he's had time to go through his own edition of character development. But that doesn't mean Ragna's not here for all your face-punching or boning needs! ...except you, Jin sorry bro. And Hazama. Especially not Terumi. You all get face-punching rights.[game info]: Golden Peacock is a private, invite-only panfandom sex game that takes place in a weird resort full of supernatural/ghostly occurrences. (Yes Ragna has already screamed like a girl. Numerous times.) Every character that arrives is given a card number and suit that is their rank (in this case, Ragna is currently a 3 of Diamonds). The big incentive for everyone to have sex is the advertised Game 52 where if you can successfully collect every card of every suit via banging, you get any wish granted. There's also collecting cards and playing hands to earn points that can be used for ranking yourself up (or others down), obtaining items from home or learning spicy new abilities.
There's a lot of emphasis on temptation, power imbalance, hierarchy, virtues, and vices but all around it's a smuthole and you will all like it dammit. The game's relatively fast-paced between TDMs and Events alternating every month along with various network mingling hookups, but the AC IMO is easy with 12 comments total across a minimum 2 threads.

Escordvi offers a healthy mix of slice-of-life, action, exploration, and drama, and delves into concepts of horror and mystery. Escordvi just celebrated it's one-year anniversary this month! Players make of their stay what they want of it.
The mod team run monthly events, have on-going plots, and players have run their own events as well. TDMs and Applications are bi-monthly, giving players plenty of time to test the waters, or settle into the community.
The FFVII cast has been enjoying a much-needed break from the dystopia and traumas created by the ShinRa name, with Cloud (reluctantly) captaining the AVALANCHE ship, which serves as a base of operations for the Seventh Heaven bar. Tifa, Zack, and Cloud, Aerith and Nanaki have been enjoying a mostly normal life in a mostly normal world, healing, exploring, and leading the lives they could've had if things hadn't gotten in the way.
Reno has largely settled into the swing of things, but still continues his work as a Turk. With no one to report to or conflicting objectives, he just makes sure to watch Aerith, Cloud, and Zack's backs. He gets into trouble, but only to serve as a good early-warning for any potential problems. Otherwise, he maintains a good image for ShinRa's sake. Despite being pretty social and on good terms with other characters, no one can replace his fellow Turks, and after months of pushing it aside, he's been getting moody as of late for how much he's been missing having them around.
My Hero Academia @ Pumpkin Hollow

[wanted]: Honestly anyone!!! We would adore more of the League but also some of the kids now that PH allows minors in! Specifically I would adore a Shouto for Dabi to big bro at since he's been going through a lot of healing, both physically and mentally. Other characters, pro heroes included, are very much encouraged!
[game info]: Pumpkin Hollow is a tongue-in-cheek horror comedy with a collaborative mystery for players to unravel and several fully interactable NPCs. It features characters being brought to the world after their "deaths" though not everyone has to actually be dead, they just think that they are.
The game is check in but you can earn more 'money' to buy various things by linking threads after your character has a job. But that is not necessary.
Dabi has started going by Touya again and has started the process of healing his scars thanks to a couple different people, as well as having a proper support system. He is also from the very end of the manga. Meanwhile Magne has been living her best life and has start magical e to further her transitioning. Shinsou and Shouji are both looking for small work that they will allow minors to do and just being kids.

The mod team run monthly events, have on-going plots, and players have run their own events as well. TDMs and Applications are bi-monthly, giving players plenty of time to test the waters, or settle into the community.

AC is pretty easy to get (and not unreasonable), and the premise of the game is part plotty and part SOL, so you get kind of whatever you put into it. All characters are assigned a crime (can be as vague or as hilarious as you like), and are there for rehabilitation. Expiation is an environment meant to give characters the opportunity to analyze and reflect on their past actions in an effort to define and discover their own self-atonement. They may also perhaps seek forgiveness from others that they may have wronged, inadvertently or direct. It is not necessarily rehabilitation, but rather dissection of character motivation and evolution, based on individual dynamic and relationships with others.
An overarching storyline will encourage characters to determine the truth about why they’ve been brought to this world and will be impacted by character discoveries and actions taken during the bimonthly events.

[game info]: Golden Peacock is an invite-only panfandom smut game. It's set in a hugeass resort/casino, where player characters are assigned a rank and suit like in a game of cards. They're made to play and collect all the cards in a deck to leave and make a wish come true, buuut that's if the characters aren't lost in their own vices and debauchery and wish to stay in the resort forever.
Game applications are open every other month, and the next one is in October. Current players are able to extend invitations to other players, but it's limited to one per round. I only have one to hand out, but prospective players may also ask for an invite come the TDM.
I would say that the game is medium to fast-paced, but is incredibly backtag friendly. AC is a minimum of 12 comments spread between a minimum of 2 threads. More info can be found in the mod journal linked up top. Any other questions, I'd be happy to answer them, so feel free to shoot me a PM!

To be more specific, the game's overall themes obviously revolve heavily around D/s and adjacent dynamics, but there are often themes of brainwashing, torture, humiliation, dub- and/or noncon as well, in addition to kinks of all varieties being highlighted or encouraged during events, which are monthly and usually involve 3-5 themed prompts with a variety of different kinks for each. In general, there are (usually) various incentives for characters to participate in things they might not normally, be those incentives be rewards, punishments, or aphrodisiacs that give them that "push."
Dominants and submissives must pair up for "contracts" (a Dominant may have multiple submissives, but a submissive may only have one Dominant), which effectively give the Dominants ownership and responsibility over their submissives for a period of 3 months, at which point they can renew it, or let the contract lapse and find new arrangements. All characters have a monthly quota of needing to engage in at least three (3) sex acts (which can be anything from voyeurism to mutual masturbation to traditional penetrative sex to, well, anything else) but threading out smut is not a requirement, for AC as well as in general.
