The Search for the Newcomers, Feburary 2013 Edition.
New Arrivals
☯
Who: Open to Everyone, but only Newly Accepted Characters can start threads.
Where: All around the city! They appear where you want them to appear.
Summary: Newcomers arrive and by now the Government is more ready and sends everyone out to go people hunting.
Warnings: ARRIVALS. Also assume the first thread is the ones who tell you about the city, and the other tags for the character can be talking with others in the city and learning more about it.
[FOR THOSE IN THE CITY:]
There was still so much cleanup to do. What a perfect time for your HORUS detection systems to start warning you that another group of people were forthcoming.
The device allowed everyone to spot abnormalities; and while it was being re-tuned to work with the appearing buildings, they could hone in on newcomers at a much faster pace. The leftover energy from the travel (commonly called Magatama Residue) gave them a few minutes to find them before it would flicker out.
Combined with the fact they could appear in most parts of the city, it made finding the newcomers was both easy yet frustratingly difficult.
As the blips appear on your own radar function, it was also nice enough to calculate for you the best transport and destination routes to take to get there. Speed was of the essence, after all.
[FOR THOSE WHO JUST ARRIVED:]
You're not in your homeworld anymore. That much is evident. So how do you feel? Happy? Sad? Troubled? A little of all three? No matter what, the memories of a butterfly man named Philemon are fading like a dream; you'll remember the details, but perhaps not everything he has said.
There is one word that stays with you, however.
Persona.
So...here to save the city, huh? First you'll need to find out more information. And who knows, maybe a familiar face or two...
[OOC: As stated above, only new characters can start a thread, but feel free to jump in any of them. characters arrive with their clothing and whatever items they had on them the moment they were taken; the remaining items will be later found in their apartments.]

For a moment, she can feel the void where her brother's presence used to be. Empty and hollow, the feeling stayed with her even after she saw that strange dream and remembering one word very clearly in her mind.
Persona? The facade used by people in their life?
Before she can ponder any longer, Miyako woke up in a river with a start. Fortunately, she's on the more shallow end of the river, but the fact did nothing to calm her down. She's cold, wet - tch, even her sarashi's drenched and it added to her irritation - and most of all, the most surprising thing for her to notice: the empty feeling was gone.
Yamato's presence was back and here. He's...
"Yamato."
Her anger was renewed, forcibly pushing aside her confusion in order to focus on locating him.
A young "man" can be seen stepping out of the river, wet and seemingly not troubled by the cold. Whoever was close enough to them, they can see that they're not very pleased about something.

In his months here, the space where Miyako's presence resided had been woefully empty. It ached like a very old wound, one that he couldn't shift no matter what he did, and had been resigned to feel it forever - until now. It felt like he'd been thunderstruck with how abruptly he could feel his sister again, and he stopped right in the middle of the street, clutching at his chest as if he was going to keel over from a heart attack.
He quickly composed himself, however, turning to where he could feel his sister's presence - just as the HORUS detection system beeped at him. A visitor had arrived in the river - his sister, he should...
He quickly strode forwards, all but jogging towards his sister's position - although his swift pace rapidly slowed the closer he got. In his mindless happiness to actually have that void filled, and his sibling with him once more, he had ignored exactly what his sister's presence brought. Now that he was getting closer to her though, he could feel her... oh dear.
Oh dear. She was angry.

Miyako rarely allow her anger control her actions. It won't do for the Chief of JP's, double or not, to lose control and make rash decisions. There's also the fact that, well, what happened prior to her arrival in this unfamiliar location.
Being wet and cold only added to her irritation. She would need to get dry clothes. After dealing with a certain brother of hers.
The closer and closer she get to him, her anger was still going strong. When she finally saw his figure, undeniably alive and moving figure, there was a brief, momentary moment of relief.
It was brief.
"Yamato."
Miyako walked over to Yamato, her anger shown clearly on her face.

Upon sighting the sopping wet, furious Miyako Hotsuin, Yamato reacted rather maturely. He promptly turned on his heel and began trying to make his escape the only way that would mean his continued survival. By running.
Okay.
Sprinting.
no subject
After a brief moment to realised what just happened, Miyako immediately stared running after Yamato. Weighed down by her wet clothes and while holding her katana? She barely paid attention to her burdens.
The most important thing right now was catching up to Yamato and have a talk.
"Yamato, come back here right now!"
no subject
Not the most mature responses, but Yamato could practically feel Miyako's anger like a physical sensation, and he knew that he would soon feel those physical sensations for reals if she caught up to him. He had been smacked with her katana enough times when they were growing up to want to avoid it at all costs.
Alas, Miyako was the more physically powerful one, and the ground between them was shrinking little by little as they ran. Yamato refused to simply give up though, praying for some divine intervention. Maybe make her trip, or maybe a car will come for a sudden hit-and-run and knock her flat (she'll be fine, maybe), or perhaps Alcor will appear and divert her anger.
Anything!!!
no subject
"THEN I'LL JUST MAKE YOU!"
It's a rare sight to see. The normally composed Miyako Hotsuin shouting and chasing someone. She won't kill her brother, but he would wish she did. It has been a while since they, ah, sparred.

She calmly walks over and oh dear that is not a happy face. The detection system was just about beeping Io's head off, from the sheer proximity.
"Ah... are you alright?"
no subject
Miyako snapped, looking the girl's and recognising her. She knew this girl. She was noted for her abilities and spiritual aptitude, but otherwise was timid according to Yamato.
"...Nitta."
no subject
"That's right. Can I help you?"
no subject
"What is going on?"
no subject
"Ah... Sorry, it's just... I don't ever remember having met you before. You look just like Yamato, but I can tell you're not..."
Somehow, a girl always seems to know. Except when she doesn't.
no subject
Somehow, indeed. It's usually difficult to tell Miyako apart from Yamato. However, the usual illusion spells--to give her more masculine features--were gone and she made no effort to hide her natural voice.
"Are you certain you don't remember me?"
Fortunately for Io, she's not one of the few people Miyako feel really irritated and angry at.

'Course he'd...sort of gotten lost, even with the COMP. But COMP systems aside, what he saw was someone who-- looked remarkably like Yamato, but probably wasn't seeing as the COMP was calling them a new person, but more importantly was currently standing in the river looking utterly dressed.
"H-- Hey!"
He quickly sped down the bank and over to the stranger, extending his hands out to help them out of the river. And, consequently get his shoes and the bottom of his pants wet. Oh well.
"Hey, you OK? You didn't fall in there badly, did you?"
no subject
"...Shijima."
In a notably low, female voice, this girl who resembled Yamato a lot didn't seem happy to see Daichi.
no subject
Wait, this girl knew his name? Uh, let's see...white hair, official-looking uniform...She knew his name already? Well, she called him by his last name, and he could only remember one person that did that...
Someone related to Yamato?
"Uh, sorry-- do I know you?"
Apparently though, he hadn't picked up on the fact that she was angry with him, and he was still sort of holding onto one of her arms from his attempt to help her out of the river.
no subject
"Don't fool around with me, Shijima."
She stood up by herself, crossing her arms and glaring at Daichi. But despite her anger, his reactions was curious. What does he gain by feigning ignorance?
no subject
"I-I'm not fooling around!" He took a slight step back with her anger flaring, but it didn't look like he was going to run away or anything. And even in spite of the clear distress, he was frowning. "Why would I joke about something like this? I'm not that heartless..."
no subject
"...So you don't know my name."
It's something she was far too used to. But it's odd when Miyako openly revealed herself on that evening to everyone.

Maybe I have the wrong person?
She raises her voice to call out, carefully picking her way down to the river. "Hotsuin? Is that you? Are you okay?"
no subject
"...I am fine." No, she's not. "And who are you?"
no subject
"My name is Aoi Misato. Are you... not Yamato Hotsuin?"
no subject
"No, I am not." Because she have no information about this Aoi Misato, Miyako wouldn't know how Yamato views her. Not only that, but certain events made her less inclined to pretend to be him without a good reason. "I am Miyako Hotsuin."
no subject
Finally she reaches Miyako, surveying her wet clothes. "...Well, either way, we'd better get you out of the cold before you get sick."
no subject
After a quick glance, Miyako spots her dropped katana and walks over to pick it up.
"...Do you know where to get dry clothes?" As much as she like to do it herself, Miyako recognised that she doesn't know the area or the locals. Having a guide would benefit her in the long term. If Aoi turns out to be hostile, she will take care of it.
