W-What happened to all of my saves?! I found a Legendary sword yesterday! A Legendary sword. Do you guys know the chances to proc a Legendary drop?! It's like, 1 in 8192 kajillion! Probably higher! I could go the rest of my life without ever getting another one!
This is totally not acceptable! I demand compensation! Whatever Hinoto-Ri is doing this time, I'm not gonna stand for it! Who's with me?! Do you hear the people sing singing the song of angry m --
[beep bloop beep sounds in the background]

Uh.
Never mind, it dropped again from the same enemy and probably after the same number of RNG rolls or whatever. 'K, false alarm, everyone can go back to their daily business.
I've got a new sword to test; you guys'll have to figure this one out yourselves.

I know you adore your games, but did you really just have a panic attack over one?

[Definitely a real number.]

It comes right after squillion.

I'm going to come to your apartment and drag you outside. You clearly need to do something else for a while.
no subject
Because, uh. Since we're stuck in some sort of time loop, doing anything different from what we did yesterday could damage the foundations of the universe and lead to the world collapsing in on itself.
For the sake of the world, I've gotta make some sacrifices. Like Vitamin D.
[The connection cuts off. A couple of minutes later, there's the sound of knocking on Atsuro's door.]

[Enki doesn't know Crimson Wall. Also Crimson Wall isn't a real attack but ostensibly it sounds like it blocks fire anyway.]

I'm going to count to ten. One... two....

Well. You never knew with people from a different era.
Maybe he could crawl out a window.
After examining the dimensions of the window, Atsuro will sigh and open the door a crack.]
...Squillion is a real word. It's on the Internet and everything.
no subject
You look absolutely pasty, so we're going out. I'll even buy you dinner.
no subject
Also if nobody figures out what's going on, it will be like we never ate in the first place.
no subject
[He crosses his arms.]
And if you're cognizant of all this? It means you're retaining memories, in which case you can afford to take a break.
no subject
[Atsuro nods to himself a little.]
Does Hinoto-Ri have a lottery?
no subject
[Yurick sighs and snags the collar of Atsuro's shirt, trying to tug him into the hall before the other boy can close the door.]
At least this might get you outside for a while.
no subject
[Atsuro will allow himself to be dragged with a sigh. He really needed to make friends with more nerds.]
no subject
That sounds vaguely suggestive what. You just need to get Yurick hooked, Atsuro. Though likely, he'll never be addicted to your level.]Once it gets dark, fine. Then we can come back and you can show me what you've been up to.
[He glances down and sighs again.]
Perhaps I should let you put on your boots and coat. It's quite cold outside. But I'm going into your room with you, so don't even think of locking me out.
no subject
[says Atsuro as he considers the logistics behind Plan B: Push Yurick out and Lock the Door.]
Why do you want to go outside so much, anyway? I prefer having my core temperature stay well above 'arctic chill'.
no subject
[And just think, Atsuro: vitamin D deficiency can cause osteoporosis. Imagine if your thumbs snapped from stress fractures!]
no subject
[Atsuro will rummage around his room for a coat.]
no subject
[Yurick scrubs a hand over his face.]
I would think that after what we've faced together, a little thing like this wouldn't even bother you....
[And then he trails off, lowering his hand to reveal a slightly wide-eyed stare.]
Wait... was this whole burst of panic in jest?
no subject
[Atsuro solemnly finds his coat underneath a pile of papers that had exploded out of his bag.]
Humorous overreaction to trivial things is probably someone else's shtick. I'm just the alpha nerd.
...I can honestly say I'm really not keen on going outside though.
