Seven days have passed. Quite peaceful days, almost too peaceful. The town has welcomed you, excited to see tourists for the first time in many, many,
many years. Some may have liked the peace, others may have been annoyed by it, but it was undeniable Cartesio seemed like such a nice and safe place it was hard to believe you had been told to kill each other.
But the threat is still up in the air. What's more: how much patience does the Sergeant have left?
Every time you take a look into the Lodge, you see the Sergeant. Lately he's looking more and more annoyed. Even though you can't see his face, you can feel he's getting frustrated. How long will it be before he lashes out and does something about these peaceful days?
Nobody in the town could suspect the harrowing times that'd befall Cartesio.
When you wake up on Sunday, you'll find
new maps in the map rack and brochures on the table, showing places you hadn't noticed in the town before. Enjoy!

TUESDAY - APRIL 10th
MOTIVE
[That was sudden. You were minding your own business, without bothering anyone in town, and then the Sergeant approaches you, tells you that, and goes away. Once you get to the Lodge later it’s obvious you’re not the only one who received such a concise order.
Once everyone is at the Lodge, the Sergeant enters, the entrance doors closing behind him noisily, trapping everybody inside the Lodge]
I had enough of all of you. It has been more than a week and none of you did a thing!
[He stomps to the front, throwing his arms to the air with frustration. No military protocol or anything! He’s that upset]
I thought I’d give you time to get used to this town. I thought I’d give you days to do things at your own pace, I’d even refrain from asking for favors until after the first murder! But no! None of you did a single thing! There hasn’t even been plans to kill someone! All you guys can do is...you all know what you have done!
[He shouts:]
And that’s enough! I’m sick of waiting! This is what I get for showing a bit of kindness towards you all, and I won’t let this happen anymore. We’re doing this the way it should have been done from the start!
[Behind him, a large screen descends from the ceiling. One by one, images flash on the screen. They’re short videos of people you know. The settings all are familiar, homely, almost peaceful]
You haven’t forgotten about all these people, have you? These people you know, you love, and would certainly miss you if anything happened to you. Well listen here: if you kill someone and get away with it, not only you’ll be able to leave the town in two months, I’ll also allow you contact anyone you want. No strings attached.
[The videos on the screen keep changing. Individual people, groups of people. It’s people you’d like to get in contact with, for one reason or another]
I’ll even give you any information you want to tell them. You’d have to be a fool not to take this chance.
[The videos end, the screen returns to the ceiling. The entrance doors open again, looks like you’re free to go, but not without some final parting words:]
But you’d do well to remember this also means I know who they are and where they are. Keep that in mind too.
This is your last warning. You have until Friday at sundown.
[The Sergeant refuses to engage in conversation from there on]
no subject
Oh, okay. yep. He sure is shouting at them. And hey, wow, that sure is a big screen that just came down from the ceiling! Where was he hiding that thing? It's probably sad that Millium's more interested in the shiny new thing than she is in whatever the Sergeant's saying.
She watches those images on the screen alongside everyone else, and for the most part, she doesn't react at all, simply looking on with a neutral gaze and her hands clasped behind her back, bobbing back and forth slightly to keep herself entertained.
That changes, slightly and briefly, when a certain image pops up. It's a green-clad, blonde young male, doing some paperwork in a rather elaborate office. It's at that image that Millium stops dead, eyes widening just a little.
But then the moment passes, and the Sergeant is right back to his threats. Millium sighs, muttering under her breath.]
Well, no kidding you know where he is... I just hope you actually put Rean and the princess back.
no subject
[ She looks like she's about to cry and you can practically see her eyes tearing up already, looking rather distraught. What people might notice is that her emerald green eyes do, however, flick towards a certain figure, even as the tears seem to flow. ]
I want to see everyone again. I want to go home. But I won't...
no subject
for a moment, while the Sergeant is throwing his tantrum, Osomatsu yawns, cleans out his ear with his pinkie. it's not until he realizes that there are pictures of his family on screen that he finally shapes up, dropping his arms.
well, that's a good motive]
If you know where they are, why don't you bring them here! I bet Ichimatsu'd kill for you. An' probably Totty, too! They'd be way better at this than me!
[is that really something he should be saying at a time like this? don't throw your own brothers under the bus!]
no subject
So it's a threat.
[Though perhaps not along the same lines as the others, judging by their reactions...]
no subject
Bets-
[It’s a whisper, and then there’s a ginger jock, Archie, and he clenches his teeth. More teens appear, and then an older, rugged looking man behind bars.
His nails are digging into his palms now.
The final person he recognises, a face he hasn’t seen in years, it’s a wonder he recognises it on the young girl, no older than ten. But that’s family for you.
As the video continues, he wants to believe there’s no danger, but any hope is overridden by anger. Once it’s over, Jughead storms out, not without kicking something as he goes.]

Admittedly... he'd probably want to get in contact with her for a different reason than most people here. But eh.]
Well, I'd wager this will go poorly for us.
no subject
Yeah, sure.
[It's hard to know what part of his statement those derisive words are aimed at, but it's forgotten in an instant when the screen changes to show a boy around her age. He's taller than her, with dark, curly hair, and a grin on his face. He looks happy, carefree. As soon as she sees him, it looks like she's had the air suddenly removed from her lungs. Even if he won't respond, she looks towards the Sergeant immediately, voice raised.]
—No. No, you can't do that! Fuck you!
no subject
If you brought 'em here someone would be dead in 'bout two hours. [ Maybe less, depends what kind of mood Shigaraki and Toga are in. Needless to say, he's not worried or really interested—least not in his own motive. He may be looking at who showed up for a certain two other people, though... ]
no subject
what seems to trouble him is everyone else's reactions. to see them all hurting because of this seems to bother him the most...but there's nothing that can be done. oda's sure that if anyone is going to kill for this chance, then they've probably made up their mind by now.
with a defeated sigh, oda makes his way out of the lodge. there's nothing he can do.]

Miach--!!
[ Taking a step forward towards the screen is of course a useless gesture, but Cian can't help it - naturally the video changes in the very second she moves, so she's left staring at the faces of strangers again.
Miach is alive. Once more it's confirmed to her in certainty. Miach is alive, the Sergeant knows where she is, Miach is--
Cian stands in the room for a long while after the motive ends. Her legs are shaking softly. ]

I won't be tempted by this. It's clear my team is still ready for whatever missions may come. Which likely includee rescuee from this place.

Several other people appear on screen, 5 wearing armor exactly like his but in different colors, three with pointed elvish ears and a large wolf-like creature. Then, a purple alien who looks suspiciously like Keith.
He stops looking at the screen after that, choosing instead to scowl at the Sergeant. Notably, his hand is on the handle of a knife, but he says nothing..]

NEWSPAPER
There's a possibility of a break-in attempt into one of the rooms of the fire station. This event wasn't reported to the police, instead this reporter discovered this when visiting the scene of the incident. The current fire station chief noticed two holes on one of the doors in the building. Some patching later, all they have to say is 'I have to make axes with whatever steel broke through these doors'.
There were no losses other than the mahogany wood the door was once made of.
What a thief or a vandal may have wanted to do at the fire station is unclear. Please send your theories to the following postal office box.
[Once again, the address is blurry. The printing press really needs to be fixed]
In the meanwhile, we strongly advise you reinforce any doors in your residences. Is this the start of a wave of petty crimes that will blight our beloved town?

[Today sees Kino walking to the station to pay the officers a visit. Despite the Sergeant's motive, Kino remains as pleasant and calm towards them as ever.]
Excuse me. Do you have a moment?
[Park - Dinnertime, open]
[Kino chooses a time when hopefully people are eating or considering food, but, well. The sound of gunshots is rather loud.
A metal plate from the junkyard hangs from a branch, and Kino wears the usual black jacket for warmth. Standing at ready, there's a flash of motion as the teen pulls the revolver from its holster and fires in one swift, fluid movement, a clang of a bullet against metal signaling its strike - dead center, enough to send the plate spinning up and over the branch.
Kino fires several more times as it swings, each being met by the sound of metal hitting metal. By the time the plate has stopped swinging, all that can be seen are precise little dents, all in the center.
Kino holsters the revolver and moves to collect the bullets where they fell. Surely none of this is suspicious whatsoever.]

As such, she heads to the diner. She has a notebook with her, but the perceptive will notice that she isn't writing any words. Instead, it looks as though she's scribbling down notes on some hastily drawn out sheet music. She's preoccupied enough that she'll only notice anybody else around if they approach or speak to her.
Later on in the evening, as the sun is setting, she can be found near the pond. Her boots are sitting beside her and her leggings are rolled up so she can dangle her feet in the water without getting her clothing wet. She alternates from glancing towards the water to looking up at the horizon. All the same, should she notice somebody come nearby:]
I bet I could beat you across.

MEETING TIME
First of all, we cannot be tempted by that motive. But I understand that not all the people shown may be as capable as my team, and that did sound like a threat. But it is highly unlikely he will move to attempting to kill them right away. That would eliminate the leverage he has over us. It is much more likely that further motives will offer more potential opportunities for interaction with them. We can have patience and find some other way back.
Secondly, I imagine most of you here have been taking the initiative to explore this town on your own. I encourage you to share whatever you have learned. I myself have been investigating the clinic, and I have learned that apparently it stocks medicines from my world, though there are also many unfamiliar ones.
Last, I would like to hear if anyone here has further ideas on how to prevent a murder from occurring.

It's the most 'like home' place in all of Cartesio. It smells sterile, people are quiet, there's health written all over it. Yet at the same time, it's the most unlike home to Cian. All of the equipment is outdated, the injuries of patients seem outlandishly severe for Cian's standards... You'll find her simply walking up and down the hallways, lost deeply in thought after the motive announcement earlier today.
You can also find her in the pharmacy, running her hands over the different medicine packages or picking some up and reading the information on their backs carefully.
In the evening though, you'll spot Cian in the motel lodge. She's flipping through the guestbook and murmuring to herself. ]

Still, the idea of contacting someone...that gets his attention. It's just that he'll do it on his own terms.
Morning
The abandoned building seems like a good place to start. Moloch enters and ascends to the second floor, examining the place. So much is burned...but maybe there's something useful? He manages to kick a wall open, and if someone somehow enters at that moment, he beckons them]
Hey, take these gloves and help me pull out the wiring over here.
[This vandalism is productive, he swears.
Once he has enough, he goes to the junkyard, and gets to work. It's hard to do without good tools, all he has is rusty stuff he got from around the junkyard. He's managing to make progress despite that, though. Which is admirable! The problem is that the radio he's trying to make is...well, made from scrap. It'd be an herculean feat.
At least he's motivated, even if right now he's upset]
This is going to take ages!

It's no surprise that he went off by himself and the blond wandered into the abandoned building. If someone's trailing behind him, he'll turn to face them with a glare (if not and they're there before he was, he'll just send them a glare anyway.) ]
What the hell are you doing here?
[ However, at some point, Bakugou's hanging nearby the fire station, side-eying the people there, but decides shortly after to make his departure. Should he run into anyone as he is and they happen to be looking in his direction (or he thinks they are), the blond will give them a look. ]
What?
[ Towards the later part of the day, he can be found in the park, and seeming to stare angrily at the ducks. If anyone's walking nearby, the blond will turn to give them a displeased look, but then look away. ]

DISAPPEARANCE
He successfully got to the outskirts, peered into the infinite-looking expanse, and started walking. It took only a few minutes before something happened. This time, though, the Sergeant went to confront the rulebreaker by himself. Mako barely had time to try to defend himself before he was knocked out, a shock on the back of his neck making him faint.
Anyone who is at the motel will hear a patrol car outside, passing rather slowly. Looking at it will let them see Mako, unconscious, his face leaning against the window. On the driver's seat there's the Sergeant. Given how Mako had made clear he was interested in seeing what'd happen if someone tried to leave the town, it's easy to guess why he's been captured. The last anyone saw of Mako was he being taken towards the Lodge.
Mako is dead.]

He knows people said don't panic, but it's not sitting right. And he really wants to go back to the lodge to punch the guy.
Later, Nine can be found sitting on top of the Diner. Yeah, that's right, he some how got up on top of the Diner. Sitting next to the bright sign with a take-out container full of fries. ]
