![]() Premise ⚔️️ Rules ⚔️️ FAQ ⚔️️ Taken ⚔️️ Reserves ⚔️️ Apply ⚔️️ Locations ⚔️️ Bestiary ![]() A ⦿ Soaking in Your Arrival
Regardless of what you were in the middle of, you and your familiar have been magically pulled into the world of Avalon just above the Bay's waters. After a brief plunge into the Bay, the rush of water filling your ears and soaking up into every creak and crevice of your body, you may need to cough to clear your airways when you rise above the surface. You'll definitely see other new arrivals plopping in. If you can't swim, a red-headed woman known only as the Lady of the Lake will drag you to the shore if she doesn't spot someone else near you helping so no one ends up drowning. She's a little busy casting directive magic to make sure everyone lands safely and playing lifeguard, so if anyone attempts to talk to her, she'll tell them to head up to the Rent-a-Ride. The shores themselves are littered with new arrivals complaining their way up a staircase carved into the walls of the White Cliffs. There is no railing, so be careful, but if you do fall, be prepared for a mysterious sand hand to reach out of the side of the cliffs to catch you. The hand will pat you atop the head twice before retreating back into the wall. This is the Cliff Beast; despite the name, he is quite friendly. B ⦿ The Caravan to Camelot
These carriages use fae technology that combats weight, so your character will be able to get in regardless of whether they're light as a feather or weigh two tons. The carts have air conditioning when it's hot, heating when it's cold, and a mystical shield to protect from bugs. There is also a mini-bar that pops out of the console with nip bottles. Characters can use their smartphones to connect to Camelot's internet service, ![]() C ⦿ The Red Spring
If you don't want to relax in the room, try taking a dip in the spring for another chance to meet your fellow travelers. The waters have restorative properties that help horses and travelers recover quickly when drunk. It is known to relieve stress, improve energy levels, and mildly accelerate healing. The springs are also home to a large training grounds just outside town limits, where there are teachers who will teach basic magic safety and help you discover what kind of magic you have together with other new arrivals. Try target practice, obstacle courses, meditation circles, and other ways to try to figure out just what you can do.. if you didn't already have an accidental discovery on the ride there. ![]() A ⦿ Get Fresh
B ⦿ Be Merry
C ⦿ Eat Well
Have a seat, meet a new neighbor, find a roommate, maybe a new or old friend? Talk to the person to your left, your right, across from you. Mingle, enjoy the food, the music, it shouldn’t be long before the information promised is provided. Till then take your fill and get to know your fellow travelers. ![]() You've been here a few days now and have gotten a chance to settle in, find a place to stay, and Camelot's citizens have decided that you've been here long enough to start living your life again. Well, your new life. A group of citizens have decided to give everyone their first quest. "Hear ye, hear ye!" a man in chain mail with a tablet with his statement typed up on it declares to a crowd from atop a pedestal. There are two other citizens around him with phones to post the video to AOL later to make sure the word gets heard ye all around. "Those with magic, we beseech thee! Findeth us a grail most holy hidden in the depths of the Brocéliande! This holy grail is known to grant thine wishes three, a most noble quest for noble souls! Great reward will come to those who find it and proclaim at least one of their wishes to find the great Excalibur for King Arthur!" This is the first you've heard about King Arthur, and it seems curious that he hasn't yet shown his face around town. It also seems strange that this guy is speaking like he's stepped out of a bad period piece, and probably should be the clue that this is more or less an attempt to haze some of the newcomers by sending them into the forest... but no one is telling newcomers this. It's better to get them out there and start praciticing, after all. A ⦿ Lost, and Lost, and Lost Again
Which is what makes it peculiar when you keep passing the exact same locations over and over again, as if you've been traveling in circles or reaching the end of the map in a video game and coming out the other end. You're stuck in a space loop. The only way out is to successfully find the one difference in each loop five times in a row and collect it. Maybe it's a strange frog, a crystal that wasn't there before, a small wooden step that doesn't lead anywhere, or some other singular item, you've got to find what stands out... pick the wrong item, and you'll have to start your five count over again, and again, and again... B ⦿ Grail, and Grail, and Grail Again!?

Riou Mason Busujima 🎤 Hypnosis Mic
[ Riou has taken it upon himself to walk next to the caravan. The exercise outdoors is a necessity for a good many reasons (in no particular order): He can familiarize himself with the environment and stop any time he wants to look at something without disrupting anyone else. He gets to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. Exercise-- it's not easy to keep in his level of shape, and definitely not by sitting in a carriage all day.
It also allows him freedom to talk to anyone in any of the carriages as he jogs between them. Which is good, because his familiar appears to be nocturnal... which he can't complain about. Protection while he sleeps is something he worries about a lot as a survivalist. Regardless, don't be surprised if a curious man in camo is peeking into your carriage, particularly if your familiar is out. He's trying to learn everyone's familiars so there are no misunderstandings when he's trying to find dinner later... even if he doesn't necessarily say anything, so it may seem a little odd to have him peeking his face in. ]
B. The Red Spring
[ After what is frankly a long walk, Riou needs a bath and natural springs are more than a relief for him. He's definitely not.. used to being around other people though, since he tends to live by himself, alone in the wilderness of Yokohama. Not many people visit when you live in a tent. In this case, it means that he's skinny dipping with his clothing folded militantly neatly next to the water's edge (but far enough that it's not going to accidentally fall in), his dog tags neatly on top of them.
He does let out a soft groan as he sinks into the water, just his eyes above water level. He's used to physical training, but he's never had something feel so good on his muscles after a long day's run before. ]
C. A Quest Completeish
[ Riou had gone through the whole trial of attempting to find the noodle strainer and was, without a doubt, disgruntled. While his world has some very strange things, like Hypnosis Microphones and processed foods, it doesn't have magic. He at least has heard of King Arthur before (who hasn't) so he's given himself a new mission after all of this has ended: Interrogate the scam artists who planted these strainers to location the real location of King Arthur and if he's real or not.
Riou is a bit too intense, however, so if you're coming to find them to get your money's worth... you may find them tied to a chair in a dark shack with only one lightbulb swinging overhead and the windows covered, Riou sitting in the dark just waiting for the man to get unnerved before he comes to talk to him again. He's definitely gone overboard. ]
D. Whatever
[ Want something else? Hmu with whatever prompt except the Welcome Feast ones. Unless explicitly invited by friends, Riou will typically try to stay outdoors and focus on completing tasks or finding things to build a survival camp, so it's unlikely he'll be hanging out for the party. Want to chat first?
A. caravan
At least he didn't seem to be alone out here, though it was a bit odd to see someone dressed in full army fatigues. Amon had wandered off somewhere, so now he just held Nigou in his arms as he pushed himself along.]
Excuse me...did they forget about you too?
[There had to be a reason this guy was just looking into the carriages.]
no subject
He isn't the jumpy type-- if he was easily unnerved, he wouldn't have made a very good sniper, but it does make him frown slightly when he realizes that he had almost dismissed the boy himself in his check. ]
No. I'm checking carriages.
[ In fact, while it's moving, he lifts himself into the carriage since this seems to be a technique he would like to know more about. ]
Did they forget you earlier?
[ That level of stealth is worth investigating. ]
no subject
Nigou wiggled in his arms and barked, almost startling him again. Kuroko had a sneaking suspicion the reason he was starting to understand what Nigou was saying was because of this place, but it still was a suprise.]
Nigou says hi. They did forget me earlier, and I stopped bothering with letting them know. I was curious to see if I was not the only one.
[It's been a trip and he was starting to get a little out of breath. But like, he didn't want to admit it in front of a military man of all things.]
no subject
Further, he too understood the dog. This is new. ]
Hello, Nigou.
[ Riou makes a mental note to check for the boy whenever he knows he'll be somewhere so that he doesn't get left behind. It's no good to leave a man behind. ]
I chose to run alongside the caravan. It's good cardio.
no subject
It was good that they didn't forget him at least, even if he was wearing camo. Nigou barked again, happily panting with his husky smile. That was...definitely something he understood. He should've asked Amon more about this while he'd stuck around.]
Ah, Nigou says he likes you because you smell like the ground. I'm glad they haven't forgotten you, though. It is not a pleasant feeling.
[He'd agree about the cardio but he was starting to run out of oxygen.]
no subject
[ Though he's pretty clean at least. He smells like homemade soap and outdoors, for sure. ]
None of us have bathed since falling in the ocean, so we all smell like the sea now. Nigou has a good nose to smell past that. May I pet you?
[ He addresses the dog with the question, despite speaking to Kuroko before that. ]
no subject
Nigou answered for Kuroko, barking again and trying to wiggle his way towards Riou's hand. He held out the pup for the older man to pet, the dog wagging his tail frantically.]
Dog's sense of smell is far bettter than that of humans. Have you always been able to understand animals?
no subject
No, I haven't. My world doesn't have magic.
no subject
[What guy didn't want to be able to talk to their pets, anyway? Now maybe he could really explain to Nigou that Kagami did actually like him.
The pup either way panted happily, licking at the man's fingers.
The fatigue was really starting to set in though, because the swim hadn't done him any favors. However, he was loathe to inconvience this very nice man anytime further and just tried to keep up.]
Is your familiar around? He is a dog as well, though I don't know whether that's coincidence.

c
But, he still needed to find out. He was just going to have a nice chat.
He moves as quietly as he can when he steps inside -- and the scene before him is straight out of a movie. He's cautious and he takes his time approaching the guy - ]
What even is this?
no subject
[ The voice is low, deep that comes from a dark corner of the room. The tied up man immediately starts struggling again and, ungagged (Riou wants him to talk after all), he starts rambling about how this crazy guy tied him up and that it was "just a joke, man!"
Riou frowns, because the silence is much scarier and he thinks more likely to be effective. He was just about to start dripping some water in the corner to unnerve the guy even more... ]
no subject
[ The culprit, Louis means, of course. He feels like he's been on some weird never-ending chase. As if it's just running in circles of 'not me but I know --'. So, really, it matters to him if this is the last stop. ]
And that it's not just -- another lead.
no subject
[ In other words, he's definitely apologized already and Riou did not accept and proceeded to attempt to get further answers. ]
He has others he's worked with to pull it off, however, given the number of strainers littering the forest. I intend of extracting their names and locations.
no subject
[ Because honestly, he doesn't really care if someone has to get a little tortured for the right information. It doesn't matter much to him. After all, if you get what you need, it's successful. ]
I've put in a lot of footwork to get here. So if you get a name, I'm happy to handle at least one of them.
no subject
Are you a familiar or one of those brought in?
[ He's fine with either, but he wasn't expecting him to talk or look quite so tall for a deer. Riou's a little perplexed. ]
You may have a go at him if you would like. As long as we get the information, my mission is complete.
[ The guy starts to panic a little, which means Riou's ploy is working. The idea of letting anyone do anything to him demonstrates how little Riou cares for his wellbeing, and means he has no means of telling what's coming. He's getting in his head. ]
C they already found each other like magic >>
Why, because if anyone is going to take this trip too far it is his teammate. Samatoki may not stop what he is about to do, depends, but he is sure as hell coming around to make sure he has Riou's back.
When he finds the man Samatoki steps up, the faint cherry glow of his cigarette and smell of it sure to give him away before he speaks.]
Get anythin' outta the bastard yet?
[Oh Riou, you crazy fucker.]
no subject
Unfortunately, it's been some time and Riou is beginning to think that maybe the scammer didn't know anything. ]
Negative. It is possible that his head is as empty as his promises.
no subject
Tried your mic? [He is bitter his mic isn't here.][The cherry on his smoke glows, illuminating the hardened face of the yakuza as he looks at the captive, he chokes, smoke almost coming of his nose.
His voice drops lower. The scammer looks, young.]
Is that a fuckin' kid?
no subject
[ He's just like, normal tormenting him. ]
It would seem so.
no subject
[It was a strange sight, so many openly armed people and no mics. He's still salty he does not have his own.
There is a moment of morality in Samatoki brief as it is as red eyes exam the kid from a distance. Not like kids his age haven't been tormented before.]
Oi, fuckface [That Yakuza growls low, letting the cherry of his cigarette flare a deep red.]
Start talkin' or I'm gonna let my friend here turn you into a human lighter.
[He does not mean it, but with the look on the captive's face and his age, if that does not make him talk after everything Riou has done, nothing will or so Samatoki thinks.]
no subject
[ Riou's camp, once he has one, is going to be massively overpowered. It's going to be ridiculous.
Either way, the guy is just about peeing his pants from Samatoki. There are two scary guys here now, he doesnt know what to do! He really is just shouting that it's a joke, guys!! ]
no subject
[Even if his magic would work well in combat, Samatoki is not going to pass up the chance to have some backup weaponry, how is he supposed to trust in magic? It's like a fairy tale.
Samatoki watches the guy, then scoffs.]
I think this is some dumb Lil' shit playin' a prank, oughta teach him a lesson 'bout bein' a little shit and trickin' people.
no subject
[ It's very troublesome. ]
What are your orders, Samatoki?
[ He will give whatever lesson Samatoki wants him to impart. :) ]
no subject
[Once he says he thinks maybe he shouldn't because Riou would do just that.]
Take the piece of shit out into the woods, fix 'im up so he can get out but it'll take him a while, least till mornin'. Let him be the hidden treasure.
[He's sure Riou can come up with a trap to do that trick simple enough.]
