[The video clicks on to show a certain redhead, standing against a storefront in town, looking a little frustrated but pleasant as always.]

Good evening, Miss Potts! I'm sure you're wondering why on Earth- or rather Verdana- I'm contacting you. Well I recall you mentioned something about being a rather high ranked business exec back home. In my experience people like you have trouble turning off the "work" switch. Which means I know for a fact you've done a little scouting here, even if it's subconsciously.

I've been trying to get permits and such to get a business off the ground and find myself in need of a partner of sorts. I was wondering if you had any suggestions. Now I'd say we could meet for tea or coffee or something and discuss it but's that's exactly the issue, isn't it? There's nowhere to get a good cup of tea brewed in this city.

[The other end of the feed clicks to life to give a view of a dimple-cheeked Pepper, with a touch of paint smudged on an otherwise impeccable forehead in just the sort of way that a Tony Stark in a puckish mood might dot on her surreptitiously. She's traded her usual tailoring for broken in jeans and a filched men's button shirt designed for reno work, and the view behind her shows what's rapidly turning from empty space into the beginnings of a very comfortable cafe pub. Given the way her smile settles into place at his offer, that's probably entirely intentional.]

And a good evening to you Atticus. Happily enough, I wouldn't even call it subconscious, because I'm in the process of opening a little business of my own and I have enough to spare that a partnership wouldn't go amiss.

[Never mind that her 'enough to spare' actually has an embarrassing number of zeroes in it after four centuries of investments. One shouldn't play all their cards even in the little negotiations.]

The decor and the painting's still going in, but the bar front's functional here. I happen to have coffee, if you want to bring tea.

[He gets a look at the space she's standing in and he can't help grinning broadly at her. Well this is just too perfect, isn't it? Guaranteed to have someone to share his shop with that has a good head on their shoulders. Though he'd have to discuss the details with her to see if she has room for a little side of tea and herbs in her cafe.]

Great minds think alike it seems. I don't mind coffee at all, if you don't mind me having a proper Irish coffee. [He'd be able to test out the somewhat questionable bottle of whiskey he just got his hands on in town that way at least. It wasn't going to be Tullamore Dew, he knew that.]

Unless of course you're looking to get an eye on my products then I suppose I can bring a couple sachets with me as well.

Great minds, or just bored ones.

[Pepper's laugh is a light ripple beneath her words.]

In terms of hands-on work with getting the ship in a state to take us home, I'm useless. But I can, at least, give the brain trust a place to refuel and maybe a little funding. Bring the whiskey and the sachets, and if that gorgeous dog of yours doesn't mind the smell of fresh paint, bring him as well.

I'm not much use on the "getting people home" front either.

[He nods understandingly. They're in the same boat there. He'd proven that with his binding attempt last week. Ah well.]

Text me the directions and I'll be over there shortly. I'm pretty good with renovations so I might be able to help you out on that front too.

[He chuckled, shifting the video down to Oberon who was sitting beside him, tail thumping loudly against the wall behind him and when he was sure he was on the screen he gave a single excited bark for Pepper's benefit.]

You're going to inflate his ego, Miss Potts.

[Atticus' communicator soon pings with the delivery of a map to Pepper's building relative to the rest of Poseidon. She dimples at spotting the dog.]

Good. If his ego's big enough, he might not notice how transparent the bribe attempts I'm planning on are. Is leftover bacon OK to share with him? I know some wolfhounds can have finicky diets...

[Are they going to chat about Oberon while he walks back to his place to collect some teas? Sounds like a plan to him. And Oberon is definitely okay with this.]

Bacon is always accepted. Sausages are his favorite, though. Especially chicken apple sausages.

[Pepper laughs at that, quietly delighted at the mental image of Wolfhound vs. Sausages.]

I'll bear that in mind when I manage to lure in a chef for the place. Chicken apple sausages sound like they'd go well in a breakfast wrap, if we do enough business to try and attract the morning crowd. Oberon can just take the Atkins-approved version of one.

[Atticus laughed but nodded.]

They would, indeed, but... I have some thoughts on... well... Just give me a few minutes and I'll be over there and we can discuss target clientele.

[And with that he cuts the feed so he can jog back to his place, collect supplies, and grab his bike to make the trip back across the city faster.]
