Dear robin_k,

Thanks for telling us you can't log in with your Dreamwidth OpenID on LiveJournal. As other users have reported the same problem and we've confirmed it, our developers have been made aware of the issue. I can't tell you when the bug will be fixed but you can keep an eye on dw_dev and dw_maintenance for announcements.

My sincere apologies for the inconvenience. I'm sorry I can't suggest any workaround in the meantime.

Hi robin_k,

After some investigation the site administrators managed to identify the problem -- LiveJournal is no longer consistent about whether it is using a secure connection for OpenID logins, and is therefore in violation of the OpenID spec. Thank you for your report: the dev team have provided a fix that's now live, so you should be able to log in to LJ using your Dreamwidth OpenID without any further problems.

If you're still experiencing issues or if you have any further questions, please do let me know!
