[GP] SNOW DAY
Thor and Loki got an early start, because there was a lot to do. Almost two weeks to the day since their first small-but-successful experiment with snow, Loki was confident that he'd improved enough for a bigger experiment. Still snow, because Thor wanted it and it did seem like a decent way to try something big-ish without causing Loki unnecessary grief with the other residents. (It was an arrival day, so there would perhaps be some grief with any new arrivals, but that was entirely acceptable.)
It was before dawn when they went out into the grounds. Thor called up clouds and loaded them with water so they hung low and heavy, covering the sky so that the sun, when it rose, wouldn't ruin the event. Loki took his frost giant shape and staff (now very familiar to his hand) and concentrated on dropping the temperature. Just around the Inn and grounds, but that was enough to be serious effort.
When the snow first started, the flakes were big and wet, and melted as soon as they hit the ground, which was still on the warm side. As they melted, they cooled the ground. After an hour or so, the flakes were smaller and more powdery - real snow, not glorified slush - and they were starting to stick to the ground.
By mid-morning, the Inn and grounds were covered with a thick layer of snow, and it continued to fall.
***
Meanwhile, indoors and inspired by the snow, Hurley and Xavin decided to try and make cookies. Cooking together was fun, since neither of them exactly knew what they were doing apart from 'follow the recipe', but since the point was 'try to make cookies' they ended up with a lot of cookies. Sugar cookies, gingerbread, all kinds.
There was no way they'd be able to eat all of them.
Instead, they loaded them onto trays and hauled them to the cafe, then brought out various frostings and candies for decorating. This had been completely intentional. Completely.

Thor - OTA
Thor stops, stares up at the cloudy sky and the sprinkle of snow that falls down from it and thinks of what Quill told him about what the Guardians said about him back on The Milano:
It's like a pirate had a baby with an angel.
His mother was definitely an angel.
Thor and Jane
Re: Thor and Jane
Thor stands, brushing the snow off his back the best he can manage, then steps carefully out of his snow angel to examine his work. True to his imagination, the thing is massive: a snow angel no person would probably want to mess around with.
"Jane," Thor says, and then he quickly steps into clarify: "The other Jane, the one I used to date -- her family wasn't very religious so almost everything I know about them are from movies and pictures. I always thought the ones in the paintings were very pretty."

Stormbreaker required significantly less physical manual to send him skyward.

"It was a group effort," he says. "I make the moisture, my brother freezes it."

Thor & Iron Man
Re: Thor & Iron Man
"You plan on joining me and making a mark of your own?"
Re: Thor & Iron Man
"You waited an admirably long time to do so, Boss."
"Make it cute." Tony propelled himself up about ten feet and emblazoned a design pulled from his memory banks onto the snow right beside Thor's snow angel--a round little Iron Man helmet giving a peace sign. For consistency, he circled his wrist and added on a halo above it.
Re: Thor & Iron Man
"Not very traditional."

Re: Thor & Iron Man
"Talked who into what?"
Re: Thor & Iron Man
Re: Thor & Iron Man
"Oh, yes, that," Thor says with a wave of the hand as if this were old news. "Got him to do a test drive a week or two ago. I'm glad. He's always been really insecure about the Ice Giant thing."

Thor & Corbie
He was also, currently, a big easy target for mischievous wizards who were determined to play as hard as they could as long as they could in this snow. Though Corbie was at least nice enough to aim for his chest rather than his face, giggling the whole while.
Re: Thor & Corbie
He reaches down into the snow and pulls up a tremendous handful of it, forming it into a ball as he proceeds forward. "I will not hesitate to use this," he says, warningly. Despite his best efforts, the smile finally breaks free.
Re: Thor & Corbie
Re: Thor & Corbie
Thor tosses the snowball in Corbie's direction with less force than he might have if he were in a snowball fight with the Hulk. The strength of his toss was more Banner-appropriate.
Re: Thor & Corbie
Re: Thor & Corbie
Thor swoops down and gathers as much snow as he can in a single arm, starts running, his free hand forming snowballs as quickly as he can. He can hardly hold an armful of snow and multiple snowballs at once, so the snowballs are thrown almost as soon as they're formed.
Re: Thor & Corbie
In desperation she threw her hands out casting a shield. And when she realized she wasn't getting pelted with any more snow, she stared in amazement. Then she whooped and started to laugh.
Re: Thor & Corbie
Instead, he tries to form a shield of his own. Not magical, of course; he dives behind a snowbank and furiously starts pushing snow up to raise it even higher. It's necessary, because even crouched down behind it, Thor's forehead is visible from behind its peak, an all-too-easily accessible target.
