The Cultural Fair!
Who: Everyone's invited!
What: The Cultural Fair
When: June 5th- 12th - admittedly dates are sort of nebulous - set up could have begun as early as the 5th, but given the event recently, more days could have been taken to do it and for people to involve themselves, so it probably "officially" starts a little later (by the 8th at the very least, though work can go on throughout it) - feel free to use your judgement/have fun!
Where: All around the town square!
Summary: Here.
Rating: ... who knows?!
Notes: Booths can be labeled as separate comments! Just put [booth name] or something in the subject line so people can find top level comments easier.
Work probably started for it on the 5th-7/8th for labor purposes, though feel free to use dates to your advantage here! (Even if characters slapdash something at the last minute, it would be fun to see! It would even be encouraged after the crazy from the last event - kind of a way to get back in touch with themselves.)
CHARACTERS ARE WELCOME TO TAG THE LOG FOR INTERACTING WITH OTHERS, NOT JUST BOOTHS, SO FEEL FREE TO TAG IN! Also a character who might not know what's going on is welcome to walk by and question it! And so forth. (Helios and Ikki made posts in regard to it and there have been art club posters around, so anyone could have noticed those as well!)
I'll leave descriptions up to you all as there isn't much that is too uniform about the displays, as everyone is encouraged to be creative about their presentations and how hard the characters worked isn't something I could define for each of you. Just keep in mind that this takes place in the plaza, there shouldn't be an issue with blocking traffic (there may be ropes up to try and keep pathways clear, however!), though it may branch around various points of the square depending on where someone wants a booth located / the number of actual participants. The square will also have a lot of brightly colored signs and decorations indicating what is going on!
For ideas/reference on how it was handled last time, feel free to look through here! There's no official signup, so go forth!

[Loki's Asgard Booth]
Additionally there are (padded, dammit Ikki) sticks people can hit each other with, mead for the quaffing (he's not checking IDs), and some hkarl because fuck you that's why.
And a massive, glittery throne for Loki where he lounges and generally looks either amused or bored.]

Maybe try a little local fare.
Maybe try not to end up vomiting.
You know, things like that.

Sheesh, Loki. All this time you had me thinking you were from some kind of hardcore dungeons and dragons stuff. But you're really from some kinda build-a-beard game?
I mean... not that there's anything wrong with that! A steady gig's a steady gig. Just... not what I expected.

[Loki's Asgard Booth]
...That mead looks interesting though. Derek will grab a mug of that and settle on a nearby railing or bench, giving Loki a raised eyebrow.

[Loki's Asgard Booth]
He'll look over the 'beard' collection, seeming to give it serious thought. He's beginning to get the impression Loki is humoring someone else by manning this booth.
Someone pretty young.
"Which style is the best for this anti-quaffing block?"
Yeah, he'll play along.

Stick still in her hands, she bounds over to Loki and reaches out to tap him on the shoulder a few times with it.]
Hey, fancy chair guy! What's the deal with these things?
no subject
They're for poking anything that isn't me. 'tis a long-standing tradition. If you're really lucky, you'll poke someone so hard that you'll die in glorious battle and some frightful poet will write an ode to you.
no subject
[But hey, if some poet wants to write about her awesome she is while she's still alive then she would be down with that! Pascal gives her fake beard a few exaggerated strokes before tugging the stick back.]
So basically they're just sticks. Poking sticks.

[Have one (1) enthusiastic Jack Holden, looking over the table with interest. He only wrinkles his nose a little once he draws closer, though the look bears a curious amount of recognition.]
And . . . no, wait, don't tell me. A public toilet full of corpses?

The best bits of the realm, you know.

It's called hákarl. Give a try. Your mouth will never be the same again.
