You have two to three stories you're supposed to be finishing before the end of the month. Why then have you started a fourth? (Answer: because the idea of a certain two A:TLA characters being all brooding and horny and hermit-y together is delicious).
Also, you've had a week off. Why did you get nothing useful done? (Answer: because you slept a lot and revelled in Not Being At Work.)
*eyes the calendar* Okay, I can still pull this off. But I have learned that my "the more I have to do, the more I get done" philosophy has its limits.

Date: 2011-10-10 06:21 am (UTC)All the cases are still from the original show, but, as I never watched the original show, that didn't matter to me. I was in it for Detective!Archie and Barrister!Martha, and then I got hooked on all of it. Plus, you know, ACCENT PORN.
Naturally, the OC Boyfriend is played by Ioan Gruffudd, because Hornblower.
I'd love to hear what you think of it (it doesn't require being up to date on show canon, although it is kind of a spoiler for the Season 5 cliffhanger finale).

I hope you at least enjoyed yourself in the do-nothing week off. That in itself is doing something.

Then, of course, the callus wore off over the course of the week and now I'm really not looking forward to going back tomorrow...

The days of sitting down and simply noodling my way through a story whenever I felt like it are gone, mostly because I actually need to finish what I start. It was a lot easier when I could just shelve something when I hit a roadblock! I am sure your philosophy will get you where you need to go, and I, for one, am looking forward to the results!
