Summary:Dreamwidth not crossposting properly
Original Request:
Weird one for you:

I'm posting to DW using the linkposter at http://feedthistothat.appspot.com/

A few weeks ago DW suddenly started ignoring the "opt_preformatted" option. The posts are also not being crossposted, despite the the journal being set up to do so, and all other posts made manually or with a client automatically crossposting.

Most recent post was made here:
http://andrewducker.dreamwidth.org/2703772.html

Although I have since edited it to disable autoformatting, and ticked the crosspost for that entry.

Any ideas?

I'm definitely not setting "Date out of order". And it's affecting every post that is titled "Interesting Links for..." (one a day).

I took a quick look at the source code:
https://github.com/andrewducker/FeedThisToThat/blob/master/FeedThisToThat/src/feedthistothat/Writers/LJWriter.java
and I'm setting:
options.put("taglist", tagsToUse);
options.put("opt_preformatted", true);
and that's it.

Aaaah! I just took a look in the logs, and I'm getting this error back when posting:
"Tags error: Adding this tag would exceed your maximum of 2000 tags. Please remove at least 14 of the following new tags..."

Would going down that path from the XML-RPC poster cause it to post incorrectly?

Hi Andrew!

First off, I'm so very sorry it's taken so long for someone to get back to you about this problem. Our support volunteers were unable to find the information they needed to answer you and unfortunately, your support request did "fall through the cracks" -- I'm incredibly sorry that it's taken so long, and we're working on ways that will prevent the same thing from happening again in the future.

I'm pretty sure that this is the same problem that we diagnosed and fixed through comments to news. Have you been able to post properly since then?

Best,
  Denise

Yes, all working fine now!

Hope your pain continues to get better, and thanks for sorting this!

Andy
